Plaque!
A slap again landed on Luna's cheek, as the woman boldly rejected an offer that came at her. A pleasant offer for half the women in the room, an offer that could generate rupiah coffers in an instant. Not so for Luna. For Luna, sleeping with a stranger and letting her body be felt was the worst and most frightening experience she had ever had, and she was determined not to have to go through it a second time.
"Fuck you, Luna! Don't you know that the man who asks you for service is a man of honor and wealth. You should have accepted. You should be happy because you'll get money for your crippled mother's treatment." Miss Rana shouted in front of Luna's face.
Miss Rana is the owner of the bar where Luna works as a waitress day and night. The woman in her early 40s was thin, with narrow eyes and tanned skin. His curly hair is always in the high ponytail until it looks fluffy.
Although thin, but his strength exceeds the strength of a boxer when he was angry and tortured one of his workers. As of this moment, he managed to make blood come out from the corner of Luna's lips as he slapped Luna's face hard earlier.
Luna looked into both of Miss Rana's eyes and said, "I won't sell myself," she said.
Miss Rana laughed out loud as soon as she heard what Luna said. "Basic holy-ass! You've sold yourself once, when you decide to stop, it doesn't mean you're back to being a clean human being. You hypocrite!" Miss Rana pushes Luna's body until Luna falls down on the ceramic floor. Feeling unsatisfied, Miss Rana spat on top of Luna's body. "I don't want to know anyway. Tomorrow you must be willing to serve Mr. Bimo. He's crazy about you."
Luna stood up with difficulty, then immediately out of the room and ran down a dimly lit hallway to the cellar where he and his mother had lived hitchhiking for the past year.
"Stupid you! Why just shut up?! Chase him. I'm not done talking!" Miss. Rana shouted to the large bodyguard standing guard in front of the door of the room.
The two guards immediately ran after Luna. However, Luna was a fast runner. He had been far away in the cellar while the two guards were still inside the bar.
Luna closed the curved door made of wood, then locked it with ten ladders that she made herself for the safety of her and also her mother. Feeling not enough, Luna pushed some used drums and placed them behind the door. After that he walked down the dark hallway with the help of light from his cellphone until he arrived at the end of the hallway illuminated by a yellowish chandelier.
"Mother" said Luna, pushing the double door in front of her.
Instantly Luna was in a spacious room with rough bricks that had not been plastered. The room was only illuminated by a yellowish lamp that was not too bright so it made everything there look blurry and gloomy.
Luna stepped towards the rusty iron bed and was lined by cotton mattresses that had been torn in some parts. On the bed lay a thin, sunken-eyed middle-aged woman. If Miss Rana looks healthy and cruel with her thin body, unlike the woman who is lying on the bed. The woman looked helplessly weak with sad eyes and resigned as if reluctant to continue being in the world.
"Mom, how are you feeling? Is anyone sick today?" ask Luna. Luna's mother has complained of chest pain for the past two months, and it made Luna feel very devastated because she could not take her mother to the hospital and give proper treatment as she should.
Ayura, Luna's mother smiled and stroked the face of the child sitting before her. "Mom's okay, son."
Buk up!
Buk up!
The noise coming from the end of the hall distracts Ayura from the tired-looking child's face.
Luna nodded and a cynical smile instantly expanded on her pale lips. "Yes, they're after me. Try it if they dare to enter. I'm gonna beat them all up."
Ayura laughs. "Mom knows if mother's daughter is strong. They're nothing compared to you, son."
Luna hugged Ayura's body and placed her head over the old woman's chest. "Yes, Mom, I'm strong because I have you. Keep by my side. Just be patient a little more, Mom, I will definitely get Mom out of this gloomy place soon."
Ayura bit her lips, trying not to sob in front of Luna who was also trying to continue to look tough. Ayura knew that Luna was suffering a lot. He often heard the insults coming from the lips of Miss. Rana as the woman descends into the cellar to force Luna to do something, something dirty, something disgusting.
Ayura stroked the top of Luna's head. "I'm sorry for the mother who has always burdened you, son."
"Don't apologize, Mom. It's our destiny, we just go with the spirit." Luna lifted her face and kissed her mother's forehead which began to wrinkle.
Bruk!
The voice at the end of the hallway was heard again. This time harder than before. That means the Miss's bodyguards. Rana had managed to break down the front door.
"Ah, fuck. They did it." Luna complained, then stood up and took the electric shock device that she had stored in the small closet next to the bed. "Wait here, ma'am," said Luna.
Ayura nodded with a smile. He was sure that this time his daughter would have defeated Miss's bodyguard. Rana is a world-class boxer.
"Open up, Luna, before we break down the door and forcefully pull you up!" a guard shouted from outside the door.
Luna who was already preparing, stood behind the door on standby. His hands stretched forward, ready to attack anyone who was about to break into his room.
Bruk!
The door opens, causing a noise that deafens the ears, because the door is opened by being kicked.
"Aragh!" A bodyguard fell down when Luna managed to sting the bodyguard with an electric shock device.
While the other bodyguard looked at Luna with bulging eyes. "I thought you'd use pepper spray."
Luna laughed, then she tos with the bodyguard. "More times I'll think of that one way."
Seriate.
