A week passed without any significant incident. Luna silenced Arjuna more and considered him as if he did not exist. While Arjuna is always busy in his study, so the two rarely meet let alone face to face.
At night, Luna freely and happily moved around the room, from room to room. There is no co-sleeping agenda as Anyelir had scheduled for Luna and Arjuna through Whatsapp messages that Carnations regularly send to Arjuna and Carnations phones.
Today is exactly one week Arjuna and Luna live together as a married couple. Carnations are always on time and never deny the appointment to come to Villa along with a man of lush and glasses who is an obgyn specialist in a renowned hospital. Not only came with the doctor, but Carnations also brought Zion.
Luna who was busy making cakes along with the service at the Villa was surprised when Anyelir deliberately surprised him from behind.
"Bobber!" yelled Anyelir, making Luna aghast and finally the woman spilled half the cake batter ready for printing.
"Good, Mom! Spill right," grumbled Luna. Even so, he still smiled, he was happy because he was finally able to meet the Carnation again. Living with Arjuna for a week is like living with a stranger. So Luna was very happy when she finally met someone she knew.
Carnations peeked over Luna's shoulder what her temporary husband's wife was doing. "You guys are making cookies? Is that right, Lun? In the store there are many, why do you have to make your own, ckck."
"But if homemade produce is definitely different, ma'am." Luna looked down and cleaned up the dough spills on the floor, even though the service had banned Luna, still Luna cleaned the floor deftly.
"Leave that, Lun, don't act like a servant" Carnations said. "Come, come with me to the living room. I came with a doctor. You too, Mommy." Carnation averted his eyes, looking at Arjuna who had been enjoying a cup of coffee in front of the dining table.
Luna followed the direction of Anyelir's view, and sure enough, Arjuna was there, looking handsome and cool as usual. He was unaware of the man's presence. Since when did Arjuna sit there he did not know.
Arjuna stood up and stepped out of the kitchen like a robot who was obedient to his master. While Luna and Carnation walked in tandem towards the central space.
"Zion!" Luna shouted, as soon as she saw Zion sitting on one of the sofas.
Zion stood up and smiled, not forgetting that she stretched out her hands, ready to catch Luna who would soon run to embrace her. In the next second, Luna was already in Zion's arms.
"I miss you," said Luna, sinking her face deeper into Zion's warm chest.
Zion rubbed Luna's back as she felt the liquid penetrate the shirt she was wearing. "Don't cry" Zion whispered in Luna's ear.
"When you return, take me with you" muttered Luna.
"certain. I can't leave you anymore."
Both Anyelir and Arjuna overheard the conversation between Zion and Luna, making Arjuna feel uncomfortable and he felt a little bit unaccepted as well because Luna who was his wife was hugged by another man right in front of him. Luna was hers, and should not have been hers freely touched by another man!
Arjuna shook his head, trying to disperse the primitive thoughts that had just perched on his head. "I don't care, I don't care" he murmured, then chose to sit on the sofa crossing his legs as he could.
"Lun," call, Carnation.
Luna immediately broke away from Zion, and hurriedly rubbed her two wet cheeks. Actually he did not want to cry, nor did he miss Zion to the point that he cried when he met the man. It's just that Zion's presence always reminds Luna of her late mother. However, there are many joys and sorrows that he has passed along with Zion in caring for his mother. It was no wonder that Luna felt that meeting Zion was the same as meeting her mother.
"This is Doctor Damar, he's my gynecologist, and now he's gonna be your gynecologist." Carnations introduces Luna to Doctor Damar.
Luna sues Doctor Damar. "I'm Luna, Doc."
Doctor Damar smiled. "Yes, I've heard a lot about you from Anye. I really did not expect that Carnations would take this path. Let's hope this incredible carnation sacrifice will pay off."
"We're all making sacrifices here, Doc, not just carnations. All this is his wish." Arjuna chimed in Doctor Damar's words casually.
Doctor Damar nodded. "Really, too. Thas right. You all sacrifice here."
"Ah, already, already, do not discuss the issue of sacrifice and others. In the end, we will all benefit. Now let's just go check," said Anyelir. He seems to dislike the sentence thrown from Arjuna's lips, but if you think about it again, what Arjuna said has a point.
Doctor Damar took out a pregnancy test kit from his bag and gave it to Luna. "Want the test myself, or am I doing the test? You just pee in this tube and give me your urine, then I'll do the examination."
"No need. Let me just." Luna refused. He feels uncomfortable if he has to give up his urine to others, even though the person is a doctor.
Doctor Damar nodded. "Well, all the clues are back here. You just follow him."
Luna stood up, then stepped towards the bathroom. In the bathroom Luna had her forehead on the wall. He knew the test would be negative. Of course negative, unless the uterus can be fertilized by air, then it could be the test results will be positive.
Luna set her breath, opened her pants and began to do the instructions behind the pregnancy test kit. After all, he still had to do this test to please Anyelir, even though he knew after knowing the test results, Anyelir would definitely be very disappointed.
After a while, Luna came out from inside the bathroom and returned to the living room.
Seeing Luna return, Carnations smiled. He stood up and approached Luna. "Hows it? Positive, right? Line two?" ask Carnation, with both eyes sparkling happily.
"Lun, come on, where's the result?" urge Carnations.
Luna reached out, handed over the pregnancy test kit she had used. "Sorry," he said.
Disappointed carnation. Yes, he was very disappointed when he saw one pink line plastered before him. "When I gave up my husband" he said.
Slowly Carnation's body slumped to the floor, she cried. He felt like a failure for the umpteenth time.
Luna knelt before the carnation. "I'm sorry, Mom, I-I"
"Did you two not follow the lead I gave you both on whatsapp? Increase rest, Lun, do not fatigue and consume milk Materna that has been prepared, multiply eat foods that contain folic acid and other vitamins. Did you do all that?"
Luna nodded.
"Then, why aren't you pregnant as well? You sleep with her every night, right? You guys have regular body relations, right?"
"Anyelir, enough!" Arjuna stood up before Zion did. Then he approached Luna, pulling the woman's arm that looked depressed because of the Carnation.
"Do you think all your questions are worth asking Luna in front of others?"
"There is no one else here" said Anyelir, wiping the corner of his eye.
"She, Nye. There's me, there's Zion, there's Doctor Damar. And it does not rule out the entire service at this Villa hearing it as well, because you are screaming like crazy" said Arjuna.
"No problem. After all, that's his duty. He shouldn't break his promise, Mom."
"Remember the promise how maxed out are you? No one can decide when she will get pregnant. We got married for only one week, and you've made it mandatory for Luna to get pregnant! Which could be so, we've both been married five years more but you're not pregnant. Don't be selfish, Nye."
The deg!
Carnations felt that Arjuna had thrown dirt on his face. His face instantly turned crimson, his heart ached, and his chest tightened. What Arjuna just said really hurt his heart, so he was unable to speak.
Noticing Anyelir's mood swings, Luna brushed Arjuna's hand off his arm. "Mom, I'll try. I'll take it easy."
"Yes, try, Lun, at least the doctor didn't sentence you barren, like the verdict fell on me. Unfortunately, my husband seemed to have forgotten the verdict" said Anyelir, with tears streaming down his cheeks.
After saying that, Carnations stepped towards the door quickly, followed by Doctor Damar.
"You didn't stop him?" ask Luna to Arjuna.
"Are you friends after you don't understand how the war is?"
Luna just shut up. He does not know any Carnations yet.
Looking at Luna who did not answer her question, Arjuna turned to leave Luna and Zion in the living room without saying anything more.
"The household is a mess" Zion commented.
Luna nodded, then sat down beside Zion. "I feel bad for Bu Anye. I've never slept in a room with her husband this whole time."
Zion smile. "I'm glad to hear it."
Luna pinched Zion's waist, making the man grimace in pain. "I was just kidding. So, what are you going to do now, Lun? You can't be here all the time, because Miss will definitely be very angry, unless you really don't intend to go back there."
"Do you think he wouldn't have looked for me if I hadn't come back at all? I want to stop, I'll be back later after giving birth. About another year. That's also if I can get pregnant and give birth."
"Why do you have to go back if you can go that long. Just leave for good" Zion said, touching Luna's cheek so gently.
"I must avenge all that Miss has done to me. Because of his actions, my mother was tormented. My mother left feeling devastated seeing her daughter crushed right under her nose without being able to do anything."
Zion hugged Luna. "Do as you please. I will always be there to support you."
Seriate.
