Chapter 111 DPT
A week later.
After leaving Ratu Melati and baby Anjaya at an orphanage that Ana knew in the suburbs, Ana intends to go find Jaya at Mount Sembah.
"Are you sure, Na?" Melati's mother tries to restrain Ana's departure.
"Mom, I have to save my husband. I'm sure you can take good care of Anjaya. I'll always tell Mom with this phone." Ana hands Risa's phone to Queen Melati.
Queen Melati opened the screen of Risa's phone and immediately cried. He was very sad when he saw the photo of the beautiful woman.
"Risa's a good boy. He even sacrificed lives for your family, Na. Why are you leaving so soon, Sa?" Queen Melati sobbing.
Though Risa was beside him waving and pointing at herself while jumping up and down, "i'm here, Queen Mother."
"Risa's with me, Mom. She became kuntilanak because she died while pregnant again yesterday," whispered Ana glanced at Risa.
"Huh? So kuntilanak? Pregnant anyway? Pregnant son Bayu?" Queen Melati was in disbelief.
"Pregnate the son of the genie again, Ma'am," said Ana withholding her laughter.
"WANA!!!"
Risa began to look wrathful by floating a pouting face.
"Seriously, Na?" Queen Melati was still staring in disbelief.
Ana nodded, "will tell me sometime. Now I go first with Risa."
"Yes, that's it. You just be careful. Let no matter how ordinary people like you can't see Risa, still think you're going alone." Queen Melati hugged Ana tightly.
Ana approaches baby Anjaya who is sleeping in the stroler.
"Mom promised you'd take your father home. Sorry yes, Anjaya so not full ASI from Mom." Ana kissed her baby's cheek gently.
Ana turned to Risa who was still ducking in front of the mirror.
"I'm still angry, am I joking?" ask Ana.
"It's not! I am sad because I cannot read! Why is there no reflection in the mirror? I'm afraid my eyes are blackening like pandas. Where is my hair that is fretting. Yes, I look like a kuntilanak mango tree in the back garden," complained Risa.
Ana is also trying to hold back a laugh. Because everything that Risa talks about is true and Risa does look like kuntilanak in general.
"You're a pretty guest, really. Let's go!" bring Ana.
Risa then rose and accompanied her friend to Mount Sembah.
...***...
The warm sun shone down the lower valley from the bare trees. The mist soared from the ground like a ghost, carrying whispers of summer smoke buried behind the dry land. While peering out from behind the trees, Ana could see the winding path from the village towards the forest in the south.
A horse-riding cart was seen passing down the road. Finally, Ana and Risa choose to hitchhike. The coachman was surprised when when Ana rose even felt heavy as if Ana's body was fat. Risa is sitting next to Ana.
The carriage that used to transport the fish had a broken rear wheel and was not loading the fish. The ones sitting on his stool were two Ana, and Risa. The coachman named Madun even as if driving to death with his horse. Though Ana's condition has not fully recovered after giving birth.
More and more stopped his horse carriage when asking more about Mount Sembah. A middle-aged man carrying two firewood ties was staring at Ana from toe to toe as people had done before.
"Are you going to kill yourself by going in there? No one ever came back from there alive. It's the same as you entering the kingdom of softness," he said.
"But my husband was taken there. They headed for the cave at the foot of Mount Sembah, " said Ana in the most polite tone, "we need to go there. My husband may have been waiting for us last week."
"Then your husband might have waited a little longer." The man looked up and spat him on the ground.
He then looked at Ana, "My sister, go back to wherever you came from. That haunted forest is no match for anyone." The old grandfather rushed to the road and passed through the trees, a group of goats also appeared bleating following him.
Ana sighed then turned to Madun. The thirty-year-old man has been suffering from Down syndrome since birth. However, he is very good. Madun was Bayu's neighbor since childhood.
"According to Madun, are you afraid to enter the forest there?" ask Ana when the herd passed by and want them to continue their journey.
"I will take Ana to the destination" he said.
Risa also nodded in agreement. Ana then went back up. He showed calmness on the way. But he was worried. Ana trains almost non-stop for a day in sometimes rainy and cold weather, guided by a horse that ignores them in part.
"Why not ride a motorcycle, huh?" mumbling Risa.
"You think there's a motorcycle taxi driver who wants a boncengin, huh?" Ana chuckles.
"Damn!" Risa shrugged her lips.
Why did Ana choose to take Madun on a horse carriage, because she must be sure that this road is even worse than where she lived together in the village of Risa first. The mud is black and strong, attached to anything that touches it including the rear wheels of their trains.
A little food supply on the back is also long exhausted, there is only a fishy and rancid smell from the former fish that Madun trade.
"Cold huh, Na?" risa asked, seeing Ana shivering behind the coat.
"Stop a moment Na, make a break," said Risa.
"Later on" whispered Ana.
They continued to run, increasingly strayed, until late in the afternoon when they met someone unexpected. They heard the last groan with a melodious voice that slipped around the corner, quietly and charming.
The ukulele's music gets louder as Ana approaches. Apparently there was a middle-aged woman singing. A short old woman, only 130 cm tall. The woman was sitting in the middle of the intersection, singing alone.
"Is there a busker around here?" mumbling Risa.
"Don't be a ghost" whispered Madun, laughing to himself. Nothing is funny.
"The woman must be some kind of wanderer. Look at her, he's got a big bundle next to her, " said Ana.
"You sure, Na? What if she's a witch? Keep the bundle that's serem-cerem contents, how?" Risa is hiding behind Ana.
'Dih, want to say that Risa is more likely to be unpleasant. He forgot that time yes that he was a demon, Ana's inner.
