Chapter 43 DPT

"It seems, it's Mr. Broto's son again," said Jaya.

"We are samperin!" bring Ana.

Jay hurriedly held him down.

"He's dead, Na. He could no longer be saved. The child is likely to be taken to the same magical realm as the waiter of the big tree," Jaya explained.

Ana scrunched her forehead and looked at Jaya.

“So, the boy was taken by the spirit of the big tree's guardian? Can't we ask King Aaron to return him back to his parents?” ask Ana.

“It's destiny, Na. Destiny that can no longer be changed. All have been outlined, you should not interfere in the affairs of the big tree guard,” Jaya decreed.

"Sir Broto! Can you and your wife not accept the fact that your son is dead? You guys keep fighting." The old village chief was present to divorce the husband and wife.

"Yono isn't dead yet, Mr. Kades, I'm sure of that!" Mr. Broto insisted.

"Nobody's seen Yono in a week, right?"

"That's because you're not looking for him!" sulk Mr. Broto.

"I and the people have been looking here and there well. It's possible that Yono was taken by Grandma Grandong. Where did Broto go himself? Just being able to work drunk is unclear!" sir Cibir Kades.

"Heh, don't insult my husband like that. Was it Mr. Kades fortune teller or shaman to know my son was dead brought Grandma Grandong, huh?" Broto defended her husband.

"We'd better talk about this in my house. Look at our hamlet guests so frightened," said Mr. Kades.

He then turned to Ana and Risa and Bayu, painting a smile on his face. And strangely again he smiled at Jaya and King Aaron. It turns out that according to Mbah Sarni the village head was indeed a shaman once. He has the ability to communicate with the supernatural. This was completely beyond Ana and Risa's expectations.

Mbah Sarni then told that Mr. Kades had foretold the life of his mother Sari's father who soon died. Mr. Kades also predicted Mr. Broto that the man was outlined that in his life this would not have a child and that really happened. Ana and Risa begin to get interested in Mbah Sarni's explanation while Bayu stares at the luggage into the car.

Ana then listened to Mbah Sarni's story with enthusiasm. The village chief was indeed good at divination. This is one of the traditional beliefs in general. Mr. Kades studied the history books on forecasting. Where divination activities are based on the existence of traditional thinking that believes in natural supernatural forces.

This is what Mr. Kades learned so that astrologers can find a way out in the difficulties of life, find the right action, and also guide in establishing cooperation between humans. According to the growing story there are two things about forecasting. That is, the first is the origin of forecasting, and the second is the thing to note when forecasting.

"Then, what about Mr. Broto's story, Mbah?" ask Ana.

"Sir Broto actually had a daughter in his life. But unfortunately, the man was selfless and good at gratitude. He just wants a boy. The Broto insisted on even recklessly doing everything possible so that he could have a boy, ", he said.

"Then, where's the daughter?" ask Ana.

She chewed it until it made Ana and Risa resist the nausea.

“Keep, that's where his wife got the child, huh?" chirps Risa.

"Are you still interested in hearing my next story?” ask Mbah Sarni.

It was Ana and Risa's turn who answered with head nods together.

Mbah Sarni then told that long ago the life of Mr. Broto and his wife had been cursed. They can't have more than one child because of the gift. When his wife Pak Broto gave birth to the first child of the female sex, Mr. Broto again tried and made his wife pregnant with a second child. However, they were not aware of the curse when the second child was born.

His first child was only three years old. However, when her second child was born, her first child suddenly died in a mysterious way. Since Mr. Broto's second child was a female, he asked the wife to get pregnant again.

Mr. Broto wishes his third child was a boy. Dear thousand dear, the terrible events are repeated again. The second child was almost four years old when the third child was born, but the second child died in mysterious ways.

Mbah Sarni tells Ana that Mr. Kades is suspicious about this curse. If Mr. Broto's first child has not reached four years, then the child will die if the next child is born.

Mr. Broto is still adamant even though he has been informed of the consequences. He asked his wife to get pregnant again. When the third child was born and the second child did not reach the age of four, the child also died.

The third child died when the fourth child was born. The curse was not to know if the wife Mr. Broto experienced pregnancy many times. Anyway, as long as the child in front of him is not even four years old, he will definitely die.

The village chief had explained the curse to Mr. Broto but the man did not want to know. The curse happened because there was an evil demon who allied with him while performing the pranks. The devil will make in the life of Mr. Broto and his wife can only have a daughter and only one child. So, every time Ms. Broto gives birth to the last child, the older child dies.

"You want to hear a more tragic story?" ask Mbah Sarni.

"What, Mbah?" Ana and Risa asked simultaneously.

"Jeez mah departing at what time," complained Bayu who finally hid in the car because glared at by Jaya.

Mbah Sarni again told me that Mr. Broto remained determined to have a son. Though the wife has been pregnant six times and her age is not young anymore. In her sixth pregnancy, Mr. Broto's wife gave birth, and again her child was female. Shortly thereafter, word spread that Mr. Broto's daughter was killed, killed by his own father.

"Nobody can remember who heard the news. But, he said when Mr. Broto was drunk he said everything if he had killed his own son," Mbah Sarni said.

When his sixth daughter was born, Mr. Broto admitted that he used an iron shovel, then cut the baby's body into pieces. The evil demon was very happy apparently because it was easy to get into it until Mr. Broto could no longer control his anger.

According to Mbah Sarni who was even more terrible when he heard that the sixth baby Mr. Broto was chopped into meat porridge. Then he burned it in a pile of wood and buried it in a very bad place.

After the incident, Ms. Broto had suffered a mental breakdown for several years due to the death of her last child. Mr. Broto then took his wife away from the hamlet. Shortly after, he and his wife returned and his wife's mental illness was also cured.

However, Bu Broto's nature also became changed. The woman is no longer kind. He was often alone and eventually liked cockfighting gambling.

"Then, where did he get the boy, Mbah?" ask Ana.
