Chapter 24 Adam is fired

Adam woke up in the morning with a body that was still plain and only covered in blankets. He parties with his friends and some comfort women at a nightclub.

When he woke up, the bed next to him was empty. It seemed that the woman had already left before she woke up. Adam held his head which still felt pulsating.

After a slight awakening, Adam picked up his clothes scattered on the floor and immediately put them on. The clock showed at 8 a.m., he was too late to go to the office.

"Ah, ****. I'm late again" he told himself.

For several days he always came late to the office, and had several times also received a reprimand from his superiors.

Adam got out of his bed and was about to leave the club. It seemed like today he would not be able to enter work, given his extremely chaotic condition. Added to that by the stinging smell of alcohol from his body.

Adam's phone rang as he was about to open the door. Adam saw Naufal's number on it.

Lazily Adam picked up his phone and shifted the green button. "Hello sir" Adam replied in a hoarse voice.

"You just woke up! Oh my God, Adam, you don't know what time it is, why you haven't come yet. You are not the intention of work!" naufal snapped as Adam answered his phone.

Adam kept the phone away from his ear because he heard a snapping sound from Naufal that made his ears buzz.

"Sorry sir, I have permission not to go to the office today. You see, I'm not feeling well, sir" said Adam gave an excuse.

'Haah'

There was a sound of breathing from Naufal, actually he was tired of advising Adam and asked him to improve his performance.

"It's just your excuse so you don't go to work today, right. Look Adam, I don't know how to advise you anymore. You have made trouble many times, and I have given you many times" said Naufal.

"I don't care if you're sick or pretending to be sick, I'm asking you to come to the office right now" he said firmly and hung up.

'Bugh'

"Aargh. Goddamn bum!" Adam cursed and punched the wall to vent his frustration. His head was almost broken because of his divorce with Elfira, now even added with work problems.

Adam was forced to leave the nightclub to his office, but before that he would go home first to clean up.

"You are actually the intention of work! In one month you can count how many times you attend and how many times you arrive on time. If this continues, there will be an angry Mr. Erlangga and you will be fired, including me also for not being able to lead you. If indeed you are no longer at home working here, please make your resignation letter and put it on my desk," hardik Naufal.

At 10 am Adam had just arrived at the office, but Naufal had contacted him since 8. He was forced to nag Adam because he himself had received a reprimand from his superior, Erlangga.

Many projects are abandoned because Adam rarely comes or when he is late. The task he was given was unresolved. Many clients complain that their requests are not completed on time.

"I'm sorry sir, I promise I won't do it again" Adam said.

"Last month you said that too, but where is the evidence. Even now it's getting worse, you work as you please as if this is your father's company," Naufal snapped because it had started to get emotional.

"You know. It has been repeatedly Mr. Erlangga reprimanded me just because of your incompetent performance. And I always try to defend and protect you, hoping you'll change."

"But the truth is, you're not changing for the better, you're getting worse. If this continues, I can no longer help you."

Adam only bowed as long as Naufal nagged him. He himself also knows that lately he is often absent and often late. Adam could only resign if he had to be fired.

"Now you go upstairs to the CEO's office. Meet Mr. Erlangga, because only he can determine whether you can still work in this company or you must be fired," said Naufal who inevitably had to follow Adam.

Actually he was very lazy to meet Erlangga. Adam still felt annoyed considering Erlangga was so close to Elfira. Although they are in the process of divorce, Elfira's status is still his wife.

"If you know, what's the name?" answer Adam ketus. It doesn't matter even if that person is his own boss. Moreover, that person was a person he deeply hated.

Erlangga smiled cynically at Adam, he leaned his back on the back of the chair he was sitting on and folded his hands in front of his chest.

"You are brave enough to also behave like that to your own superiors" said Erlangga cynically.

"Why should I be afraid of someone like you. Is it because your position is higher than mine, that I must submit to you, that is?" adam's reply was no less cynical.

Once again Erlangga only responded with a smile, he re-stretched his body and slightly moved his face closer to Adam.

"You're not afraid I'm fired, because you've dared to be rude to your boss?"

Adam did the same thing as Erlangga, he moved his face closer to Adam. So that the distance of their faces is only about one inch.

"I've never been afraid of you" Adam said.

"Okay, then from today you don't have to work in my company anymore. You I fired!" said Erlangga while returning his body position leaning on the chair.

Adam clenched his hands together, he did not expect that Erlangga would actually fire him.

"Why? You don't take it?"

"So he said he was not afraid of being fired, why not accept it now?" sindir Erlangga who made Adam more angry.

"I don't accept you firing me just because of our personal problems. You're really very petty,"

"Haha. You think I fired you because of yesterday's problem? You think I'm a petty person like you?" Erlangga head-scalks are not inexhaustible with the mind of Adam.

"You know Adam. I am not a person who likes to mix personal problems with work. I prefer to be professional, not like you." Erlangga said.

"Then, why did you fire me so hard."

"Because my company doesn't need people like you," Erlangga pointed out emotionally. "You've hurt my company, and you've made my clients run a lot because of your incompetent performance."

"Then for what I keep you who can only be a prankster in my company. Isn't that really bad?"

Adam could no longer resist or reply to Erlangga's words. All he could do was to remain silent and clench his hands while holding back his frustration.

Adam got up and walked out of Erlangga's room before the man kicked him out. When his hand was already holding the door handle, his movement had to be restrained because Erlangga called out to him.

Adam only turned his head slightly to the side to listen to what his former superior would say.

"Take your dismissal letter in the HRD room, and don't forget to close the door again" Erlangga exclaimed, increasingly making Adam hate him.

Without retaliating, Adam opened the door and walked out of the room. Not to forget, he also closed the door again violently to make a very loud noise.

Erlangga did not care about Adam's actions just now, because what is important now for him is a pest in his company he had removed. At least Erlangga can try to restore the losses that have been experienced due to Adam.

The problems of his company have begun to overcome slowly, now lives his heart problems that he still has to fight. Somehow he could make his lady turn to him and love him. What is certain is that Erlangga does not want to rush to do it, he will do it slowly.
