Chapter 17 - Adnan & Meyra's Play

Adnan and Meyra walked over to get some food. That's when the two talked to each other.

"Now you can tell, the pregnant woman is your ex, right?" ask Meyra.

"Yes! If you know, you'd better start acting normal now" Adnan responded.

Meyra nodded. He and Adnan immediately took the available food. Then sit back and join Erik and his friends.

Adnan pretends to show his affection for Meyra. He wiped the corner of Meyra's lips that looked troubled.

Meyra tried to calm down in the face of Adnan's attitude. Wanting to help the man, he paid attention back. That is by giving part of his food to Adnan. Meyra, who loved vegetables, gave them to Adnan.

"This is your favorite" Meyra said. He didn't know that Adnan hated vegetables.

"Are you sure vegetables are Adnan's favorite food?" Riani suddenly raised her voice. It was as if he sniffed that there was something odd about Adnan and Meyra's attitude. As a woman who has been dating Adnan for a long time, she knows a lot about him.

"Yeah. Of course Adnan likes it. Aye?" answer Meyra stammered. He slowly looked at Adnan. Seeing Adnan's expression, Meyra realized that she had made a mistake.

"Yes! I really like vegetables now. I'm also trying to keep my diet healthy." Adnan is forced to lie so that his cover and Meyra are not caught. He even ate the vegetables that Meyra gave him. Then I really enjoyed the vegetables.

"Meyra's the one who made me fall in love with the taste of vegetables. Exactly like how he made me fall in love," Adnan said as he chewed vegetables. Truly, he was very self-imposing on making the vegetable swallow by his own throat.

Meyra smiled wryly at Adnan's words. He thinks it's a bit excessive. Meyra could only nod her head while continuing to carve a smile.

"of course. Love is blind. Didn't we?" sahut Erik who tried to melt the atmosphere. He immediately changed the subject. Erik looked at Meyra closely. Then she asked, "You're beautiful, Meyra. What's your job, by the way?"

"Darling! You're okay, right?" Adnan is calm. Everything he said and did was just a charade.

Meyra's pupils dilated when she heard Adnan's affectionate call. Did he hear wrong? It felt so strange to hear a man calling himself that.

"Darling? Do you want me to get you another drink?" ask Adnan.

"La-anu... I'm fine." Meyra downed her saliva and smiled awkwardly.

"Thank God." said Adnan while stroking Meyra's shoulder. Honestly, it made him a little uncomfortable. But Meyra tried to resist these feelings and chose to trust Adnan.

"Look, Meyra has just resigned from her job" Adnan said.

"really?" Erik Response. He, Riani, and the other friends looked surprised.

"Why? Are you pregnant?" tukas Riani's. This caused Meyra's eyes to be perfectly rounded.

The same thing was done by Adnan. Now he's the one who was choked. But Adnan choked not because of drinks, but vegetables that he tried hard to spend.

"No! Sure didn't! There's something. I-I can't tell," Meyra argued.

"Meyra's right. It's a company matter. So it's not comfortable to say the problem everywhere" Adnan explained. Strengthening Meyra's statement.
