Chapters 103. A Very Good Change

"Sakinah means calm or serene, mawadah means love or affection, and warahmah means grace. This sentence of sakinah, mawadah, and warahmah is in accordance with what is in Surat Ar-Rum, verse 21," explained Nisa who then read the letter.

وَمِنْ اٰيٰتِهٖٓ اَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُمْ مِّنْ اَنْفُسِكُمْ اَزْوَاجًا لِّتَسْكُنُوْٓا اِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُمْ مَّوَدَّةً وَّرَحْمَةً ۗاِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَّتَفَكَّرُوْنَ - ٢١

It means: "And among His signs (greatness) is that He created pairs for you of your own kind, so that you may tend and feel at ease with him, and He has made among you a feeling of love and affection."

Hearing the conclusion of Nisa, Fahmi becomes downcast embarrassed for not knowing anything. Even so, this marriage took place on an erratic basis, but Nisa had already considered it perfectly.

However her husband's attitude, Nisa never took issue with it because not everything we want is in line with expectations.

"Do I deserve to be a husband, and I never fulfill a husband's duty to his wife?" fahmi asked because she realized everything she was doing was wrong.

"It should be inappropriate, only God knows. We are united in the bond of marriage, so Mas no longer need to worry. Therefore, God appointed Mas to be a companion of life for Nisa and certainly deserved," replied Nisa with a smile.

"But, I felt inappropriate. You and I are like heaven and earth, so far away that there is no way I can be equal to you" Fahmi said, beginning to realize everything.

"There is no such thing as distance between husband and wife, however united we may be in this sacred bond."

"It's different, Mas. Loving tests us to learn to try and reach for love, just as we would love to reach out to God, whereas being loved is easy. Loved does not need effort, only required loyalty to his partner."
