Chapter 9. Derogate
In the morning Almaira had been pacing back and forth preparing much of her husband's needs from the clothes, food, and much more that Almaira was doing.
Alvian who was first treated like this from his wife became unbecoming. Usually the mother who always takes care of all the needs of Alvian, while now his wife who began to do the work that her mother always did to her.
All that makes it difficult for Alvian to let go of his mother, however Alvian is an only child who is very spoiled by his mother.
It feels like Alvian twisted the time where the fateful incident never happened, maybe now Alvian can still be with his mother. But unfortunately the rice has become porridge, all can not be repeated that has happened let it happen it has become the destiny of Allah SWT. We can't blame anyone for everything we've been through.
"Mas, Almaira has prepared breakfast for Mas. Let's eat first, Mas, "take Almaira to her husband.
"No need for Almaira! I'm not hungry."
"Don't do it! Mas must eat, later Mas can be sick if not eat," protests Almaira so that Alvian obey his wife's will to eat immediately, even though his body is not eager to eat the food.
When approaching the dining table, it turns out there are all the family of Almaira and Ahlan's father who just returned from the hospital. The food is so much served by Almaira and looks so delicious to eat. But not the least Alvian tasted eating the food with all the treatment of his wife, reminding him of the late Mother Hilma.
Almaira began to put rice and side dishes that were in accordance with Alvian's will into a plate. Alvian began to receive dishes containing food from Almaira's hand and began to eat it.
At the dinner table many praised the cuisine of Almaira, but never a single word Alvian issued a word of praise to Almaira. It all managed to make Almaira disappointed which is where a wife would want sweet treatment from her husband, let alone they are newlyweds. However, all of that was not obtained by Almaira. No problem, Almaira can learn more to be able to understand her husband.
At nine o'clock in the morning Ahlan's father, Alvian and the Almaira family were already in a cemetery where the funeral of the late Hilma Mother would be held. Abi Zaenal led the do'a during Hilma's funeral.
Alvian continued to weep at his mother's departure by sprinkling flowers at the grave. As a wife, Almaira must have felt what her husband was going through, the loss of the person we love so much was very painful. Especially if the person is his own mother.
Until the funeral was over, Alvian remained there and in the end Ahlan's father came and persuaded him.
"Alvian let's go home, your mother's been quiet there. You should be able to recieve your mother's departure" Ahlan's father said, embracing his son.
"It's not easy to take Mom's departure for granted. Mother had become everything to Alvian," said Alvian who was still staring at her mother's grave.
"Dad knows you can't let go of Mom yet. Therefore, you must rise because there are still many people who love you. Alvian you remember no? I once lost, that she wanted to keep seeing you happy with your wife."
Alvian began to melt by the persuasion of his father. Slowly Alvian began to step away from the tomb of his beloved mother, along with footsteps that began to move away from the funeral right at his mother's grave.
No matter how hard our ego goes, it will still lose to a beautiful future. A mother can never be forgotten, but it will remain the most beautiful memory of our lives.
