Chapters 87. Fahmi's Decree

While in the mansion owned by Mr. Arya, long before Fahmi decided to cancel his marriage with Fatimah. The situation was very stressful, both Fahmi's parents were disappointed with what his son did.

With courage, Fahmi broke off the relationship not to marry Fatimah, while this was already the level of the end of seriousness. Disappointed, angry and upset mixed into one. Even for now, Lord Arya was furious towards her son.

Flashbacks

Twenty minutes before the promised marriage contract.Tuan Arya came to his son's room because soon he would leave for Abi Zaenal's house. But the unexpected just happens.

"Abi, Fahmi does not want to marry Fatimah. Why are you so pushy?" said Fahmi who ignited emotions. The displeased face of the man, not even Fahmi was wearing his bridal outfit that he was supposed to wear.

"Dad doesn't want to hear any excuses from you! All of this Father is doing for your good as well" Arya replied with a little affirmation so that her son could understand what she was saying.

"But Fahmi doesn't love her. I know not if love cannot be forced" Fahmi said in a non-wearing tone.

"Yes, I know that. But love can come with time. I'm sure once you marry Fatimah, you'll be able to forget your love for Almaira and love Fatimah." Feeling very upset, Arya to say so because from the beginning Fahmi often brought up the problem of love.

"Dad can say that because Dad doesn't feel what Fahmi feels. For that, Fahmi will still cancel this marriage even though Dad really wants it," Fahmi's determination is unanimous. For that, Fahmi will not change his decision.

"How can you cancel this wedding? Just think, now at the house of Abi Zaenal there are many people waiting for our arrival. But look at what you do. It's a shame" said Arya, who felt her son was stupid for wasting a woman like Fatimah.

"Yes, Fahmi knows that. However, all that will not change my decision," said Fahmi who seemed to not care about what would happen in the future.

"Aren't you thinking about Abi Zaenal's family if you cancel this marriage? They will be ashamed, not just of them. However, our family will also be looked upon badly in front of everyone." Mr. Arya was already very upset to his son who decided something without thinking about the consequences of what he did.

"If you keep forcing Fahmi to keep marrying Fatimah, then I won't hesitate to marry another woman!" No matter what Fahmi was thinking at the moment, nothing was true.

"Are you going to beat Fatimah? Not only did you marry her, you already thought so. Fahmi, realize all this is not right," added Arya who was upset with Fahmi's childish attitude. As if all of this was easy, when in fact all of this was hard.

"What's wrong with this? Is it not permissible in Islam to marry more than one woman?" said Fahmi who seemed to consider this marriage, like a game.

"You know that, but you don't make this marriage a game that you can keep at your own pace. Marriage is a sacred bond, don't try to play tricks on it" explained Arya who was tired of giving input to her stubborn son.

"Yes, that's all true. Therefore, you also do not play tricks on the hearts of others. What if Fahmi later married Fatimah, but Fahmi could not love him because Fahmi's heart still belongs to Almaira? Then his heart will be hurt, better not continue this marriage if later only hurt." Fahmi takes out the grunts he has in mind, to the point that his father is made to be silent with all his words.

Soon after, Widia comes into Fahmi's room for overhearing a dispute between her son and husband.

"What's this?" widia asked with an attention that signified confusion. Hearing his voice, Fahmi and Arya also pulled towards him.

"Mamih, just ask Daddy. Fahmi has been lazy to answer it," said Fahmi with his relaxed face as if his father was the first object.

Widia looked at her husband's face. "What's going on, Dad?"

"What's? This is impossible. The wedding will be now. Fahmi, don't mess around, son." Widia looks very angry and disappointed like Arya, when she heard her son's decision.

"No, Mih. All this is not a joke, Fahmi has thought about it very carefully," replied Fahmi casually.

"Can't do that, Mi. It's too late, you must marry Fatimah!" firmly Widia who still considers the words of her son as a joke.

"You two are the same, don't know how Fahmi feels. You can only force without knowing the feelings of his son who is still unstable in thinking," said Fahmi who felt, that what his parents did was very unfair.

"Fahmi has a heart and I also have the right to choose which woman will be my wife. Therefore, Mamih do not force Fahmi to keep marrying Fatimah because Fahmi does not love her." It was enough Fahmi no longer wanted to argue with his parents, so he explained his feelings all along.

For now, Widia was already very disappointed and angry towards her son. However, he is also aware of his mistake that is too urgent Fahmi in all this.

"If you refuse to marry Fatimah, who will you marry?" asked Arya who was desperate, against her stubbornness.

"Almaira," he answered confidently. Therefore, Fahmi chose to cancel his marriage.

Widia and Arya rounded her eyes because she was shocked by the answer from her son. "Have you forgotten this? Almaira's married and has a husband, you can't have one." Arya can not stand the attitude of Fahmi who thinks it does not make sense.

"Fahmi has not forgotten, but this heart is only for Almaira and no one can replace her yet" Fahmi said lightly.

"If so, I will continue your marriage with Fatimah" said Arya. He felt that Fahmi was already obsessed with love that would make him obsessed with getting Almaira. Therefore, Arya tries to prevent it by resuming her son's marriage.

"No! Fahmi did not want to," Fahmi replied by pleading with his father because Fahmi knew if his father had made a decision it would be difficult to cancel.

"Fahmi will marry, but not Fatimah" he said because there was no other choice.

"Who are you getting married to?" widia asked who was already disappointed with all Fahmi's treatment.

"Nisa," replied Fahmi who made Mr. Arya glare, not believing.

"Are you sure?" arya said that she was not sure.

"Yes, Fahmi is going to marry Nisa" said the helpless Fahmi.

"Well, I'll inform Abi Zaenal soon." There was no other choice, with Arya forced to cancel her son's marriage to Fatimah.

After the debate, Arya could only regret and apologize to Abi Zaenal's family for being stubborn.
