Chapter 36 The Chaos

The other day we both walked around the city and into the woods.

We searched for monsters and bandits for hours but this was too quiet.

Even a child would be safe playing in the forest right now but that's not a good thing.

Lina immediately ran and hugged Cheryl while turning her back to the bandits.

The bandit pulled Lina's hair then lifted her up.

The bandit slapped Lina in the face several times to the point of making her feel like fainting.

Lina spoke in a very small voice almost inaudible.

The bandit was about to undress Lina but before his hand reached, blood spurted everywhere.

Blood came out like a fountain and soaked Lina's clothes with blood even the floor was already wet.

The source of the blood came from the head of the bandit who was not there.

The bandit fell to the ground like a puppet cut off from its rope.

"Lina you okay?"

The man's voice sounded but it wasn't a good thing for Lina since the man was Frank.

Lina did not answer because she already did not have the strength to do so.

Frank slowly approached the headless corpse then stepped on it.

Frank continued to step on the corpse and slashed it many times with a sword until it was out of shape and turned to look at Lina who was weakly lying on the ground.

Lina did not not not want to fight but she was too weak to do so.

That was when they were little, they were both childhood friends and very close.

Every day they play together, and as a teenager Frank begins to practice sword and magic with the aim to protect Lina.

And Lina will bring food to Frank.

Lina thinks that this will continue forever but everything changes when Lina gets married.

Well reasonable because Lina had always considered Frank as an older brother.

So Lina wants to be on good terms with Frank even though he's married but she doesn't know that Frank is thinking about anything different.
