Chapter 9 The Lucifer Family

We arrived at the Capital of the Demon Empire "Ba'al"

At the gate, my carriage was initially denied entry because it saw I was a human but after Lucy appeared we were finally given permission to enter the Capital.

I was very surprised because demons do not hate humans, they do reject them but not at the level of discrimination as humans do.

We passed through the square in the middle there is a statue of a man carrying a sickle, around the statue there are 7 fountains. At the bottom of the statue is written "Ba'al" and it looks like the seven fountains symbolize the 7 demon princes.

Lucy told me to continue to advance towards the center of the city where the palace is located, in front of our gates greeted by guards.

I got off the train and opened the door for Lucy.

"Thank you."

Lucy walked in front and I followed right behind her.

The two guards bowed on one knee.

"We welcome the great princess of the Lucifer family!"

"You can stand now."

Lucy's really acting like a princess right now.

"I'm sorry for my indecision but can you introduce the person behind you?"

"Ahh sure, she is Ryu and now she works as my knight."

The two guards were very surprised but quickly recovered their composure and opened the gate for us to enter.

Just entering the gate we were greeted again by a row of servants, the male servant on the right and the female on the left.

"We welcome the return of the great young miss of the Lucifer family!"

All the servants bowed at the same time.

Lucy walked gracefully past the servants and I followed her like a knight.

Inside we were greeted by a middle-aged man wearing a maid suit but looking better than the waiter outside.

The waiter bowed while introducing himself.

"I'm Ron the butler of the Lucifer family."

Lucy glanced at me.

"I am Ryu the loyal young lady knight, please cooperate with him."

"It's nice to meet you, Mr Ryu, lady can I take you to a glorious place? he can't wait to meet you."

"Sure, but before that I have to get ready and please escort my knight to his room and give him a proper knight's suit."

"As per your orders, then Lord Ryu please come with me."

"certain."

I followed Ron and after a few minutes I reached a room.

"Mr Ryu from now on you will sleep here, the princess's room was upstairs so we prepared a knight's room close to the emergency stairs so if there was any danger you could go straight up using that."

"Sure thanks."

"Please enter I'll prepare a knight's outfit for you soon."

After getting ready we went to meet with the head of the Lucifer family.

We entered a giant hall with a red carpet stretching from the door to the throne room.

Lucy is currently wearing a dress that is usually used by a princess.

While I use black armor with red lines.

There sat a man with bright red hair and exuded an extremely powerful oppressive aura.

On his right side sat a silver-haired woman with a gentle aura enveloping his body.

On the other side sat a red-haired man, he looked a few years older than me.

We walked up to the throne and then bowed on one knee.

"I'm facing the noble."

Lucy spoke formally then the woman beside the king approached us.

"Why is my daughter being a stranger to her own family."

The woman pulled Lucy to stand up and hugged her.

"Welcome home, I miss you."

"I'm home mom."

"Lucia you're ruining the atmosphere I created."

The king clicked his tongue in annoyance.

"Jaha that's how mom is."

The one speaking was the man sitting to the left of the king.

K**good family.

As Lucy enjoys reunion with her parents, the man comes to me.

"I heard you're my brother's new knight."

"It's an honor to serve the princess of the Lucifer family."

"It's an honor to stand up, you don't have to be too formal and I'm sure my sister has gotten you in trouble."

"Understand."

"Lucy I'll borrow your knight for a minute."

"Of course but he's my personal knight and I won't give it to him even if you bow down."

"Haha all right, thank you. Then you want to have tea with me?"

"By pleasure."

We were both sitting in a gazebo in a garden.

The waiter poured tea into our cups.

"I heard the rumors."

"Say the hero and his party were killed at the hands of the demon lord."

"What do you think of that, hero sir?"

I was so surprised this person could instantly guess my identity with just a brief encounter.

"Did Lucy know about this?"

"It seems like he's not suspicious at all, it's pretty weird a kid as smart as he's not aware of it."

"Haha maybe he just didn't admit it because I was too weak."

"I'm quite interested in why a hero could end up being a knight of a demon."

"Ahh the story is quite long."

I told the story of when I was framed by the church and ended up being defeated by the dragon lord and miraculously Lucy found me and then swore allegiance to him.

"Haha, so what are you going to do now? kill my father then return to the human Empire and become a hero once again?"

"Please don't mock me, I can't even land a single attack while sparring with Lucy, how can I defeat the demon lord Lucifer."

"Truely, you'll die if you do."

"Now I just want to get stronger to destroy Rebecca's fucking church."

"It's like you're not as stupid as I imagined, well you get my trust."

"Ahh I haven't introduced myself yet, I'm Lucas glad to meet you."

"It's nice to meet you I'm Ryu's personal knight Lucy and former hero."

"Cling!" the sound of the sword clashing.

Lucy appears and attacks Lucas.

"Haha, what if I refuse?"

Lucas pushes Lucy forward and starts putting up a horse.

"You're going to die today."

"You've been saying that for 10 years, money."

What happened next was that they both disappeared.

"Clang! the cling! tang tang! buk buk!"

The sound of swords and blows clashed but I I couldn't see it, all I saw was a red light clashing around and it was all over before I realized it.

"We end for today, sorry Ryu seems like today I can't take you around."

Lucas sheathed his sword and left immediately.

"So? what are you talking about with my sister?"

"He offered me a recommendation to go to the same school as you."

"Hmm so, did you accept the offer?"

"Yes, I plan on accepting it if I get permission from you."

lucy walked towards the gazebo and sat down for tea, I followed her.

"If I don't allow it what will you do?"

"I will certainly follow what you say, however I am now your knight and I intend to continue to serve you as long as you keep your promise at that time."

"Just be calm I won't break it, and since you're saying such cool things I'll allow it. Oh and don't forget you'll still be my knight even at school."

"I'll remember it."

Lucy got up and started patting her dress to remove the dust that was stuck during the fight.

"How about we start touring the castle? is there a place you want to visit?"

"I want to learn about history and magic."

"Then we'll start at the library."

That way we went to the palace library to read some books.

It exceeded my expectations

The library is very large and has several floors.

"This library holds books for 10,000 years and is very well cared for so I'm sure everything you're looking for is here.what do you want to read?"

"Maybe about the beginning of the establishment of the demon Empire."

"Just follow me, such a book is stored upstairs."

I followed Lucy to the end of the library, where there was a dish that could fit 4 people.

As we boarded the dish Lucy channeled her mana and a guardrail appeared and then the disk began to float to the top floor.

"Wahh even in the human world there is nothing like this."

"That's because you're busy doing useless things like civil war."

"Man is really pathetic."

As we laughed the dishes stopped and we looked for a comfortable seat.

I sat down and Lucy was looking for a book to read and piled it on the table.

Not long after a waiter put tea and snacks on our table.

"Thank you."

"No problem, happy reading and excuse me."

The waiter turned around but in a few steps he glanced at me.

"Is there a problem?"

"I'm sorry, no problem."

The servant hurried to leave.

10,000 years ago was a turning point for this world. Previously demons were no different from humans because this demon continent was divided into 7 countries that are now known as the 7 families of demon princes.

It used to be that these seven Families fought each other for the expansion of their power.

Occasionally there will be a holy war, a great war between demons and humans with the aim of expanding the influence of the demon race.

At that time the demon race was stronger than humans in every way but due to greed, they often stabbed each other from behind which made them unable to defeat the humans who united under the auspices of the goddess Rebecca.

The whole sky was filled with angels who instantly attacked and killed everything in front of him whether it was a human or a demon.

There is no clear reason why the gods attacked this world but it is said that the gods wanted to destroy this rotten world and build it from scratch again.

When humans and demons are desperate, two hero figures, namely Ba'al and Olyffe.

Ba'al is the hero of the demon race whereas Olyffe is the hero of the human race.

If not mistaken I've seen a statue of a woman that reads Olyffe while in the capital of the human Empire.

Olyffe brought humans together to fight together against the gods.

Ba'al unites the demons and offers to form an alliance with the humans in order to face a greater threat.

Plus the dragons help in the war so that the enemy's momentum can be suppressed.

Ba'al who had an extremely destructive power swept over the angels with his sword slash, whereas Olyffe fought the gods with incredible speed, it is said Olyffe was never injured during the war because even the gods could not keep up with his speed and ended up killing many enemy leaders.

At that time ba'al led 7 demon princes to fight in the front row to exterminate the angels.

While Olyffe who led the 7 holy knights fought directly with the enemy leaders.

The rest of the time humans and demons felt victory was imminent the creature appeared

Chaos the god of chaos appeared.

When Chaos appeared Ba'al and Olyffe ordered everyone to flee as far away from the battle site as possible so no one knew what was happening.

But after a few hours, there was an extremely violent mana explosion and pillars of light and darkness soared up into the sky.

It is said that at that time Ba'al and Olyffe combined their powers to exterminate Chaos.

Ba'al and Olyffe returned with some wounds on their bodies and announced victory to the rest of the world.

After that the demon empire was formed and Ba'al was appointed as the first emperor, originally the Empire wanted to be named the Ba'al Empire only Ba'al rejected it instead 7 demon princes personally named the Imperial capital Ba'al in honor of his achievements.

Humans also did the same thing, forming the human Empire and Olyffe as the first emperor.

And the story ends here.

"just right! I thought you'd like it, though, ahh but the book is incomplete my father said that when the Empire had stood firm Ba'al decided to go somewhere to continue his eternal sleep and appointed Lucifer as his successor, that's why Lucifer's family lives in the palace."
