Part 212 Asks for Restu
The next day after yesterday telling Derry, now Ardiaz follows Derry's advice to talk to his parents.
The night after the end of the dinner Ardiaz asked his mother and father to gather in the family room.
"Is there anything you want to say?" tanya Mama Irana opened the chat. Now they are sitting on the sofa in the living room.
"Yes, Ma," replied Ardiaz slightly hesitating with his intentions.
"It seems serious" said Papa Irwan because his son rarely had time to gather with his parents. During the holidays Ardiaz spent time in the hospital or hanging out with his friends.
"Look, Ma, Pa. Ardiaz wanted to ask Mama and Papa's blessing about Ar's relationship with Azmia" Ardiaz said, expressing his intention to seek approval from both parents, yes despite the fact that her relationship with Azmia is still a pretended boyfriend.
"Mama agrees" replied Mama Irana.
"Yes, but here's the problem here's Ma ___." Ardiaz stopped his speech fearing rejection from his parents.
"Why the hell, Ar. Is there something that is blocking your relationship?" mama asked Irana because Ardiaz stopped her speech.
"Yes, this Ma is about Azmia status" Ardiaz replied.
"If Papa is up to you, Ar, but according to Papa if there are others why should choose him," said Papa Irwan as if he had understood the direction of his son's speech.
"Mama agrees with your Papa. At first Mama has indeed approved of your relationship, but if from the beginning Mama knows her status, surely Mama will think again," continued Mama Irana.
"Why, Ma. Isn't it all the same?" ask Ardiaz as if asking for reasons to both parents for refusing after knowing Azmia status.
"Azmia's a good woman, Ma. Sholehah, independent." Ardiaz tried to convince his mother that Azmia was the woman of his dreams.
"Ar, you just got to know him. You don't know the nature of him, the character he is, the family he carries the weight," said Mama Irana.
"If she is a good woman, why status j**da at the age of her who is fairly young, still in college anyway," continued Mama Irana. Rejecting her son's relationship.
"You're young, Ar, look for something that's worth it to you and our family don't tarnish our family's good name because of your sudden desire like this. Marriage is not a toy, not a relationship that is two days a month two months, but if it can be a lifetime once. After all, you are a doctor, there must be many in the hospital that are more worthy to be beside you" continued Papa Irwan.
"Ma, Pa, is there no chance for Ardiaz to introduce Azmia to you? Ardiaz will follow Mama and Papa's decision, but on one condition" Ardiaz said.
"What's the condition?" ask Mama Irana.
"Ar wants Mama and Papa to meet with Azmia on Sunday night tomorrow, we have dinner together at the RN restaurant after which Ar will obey whatever decision Mama and Papa make," Ardiaz said. She tries to introduce Azmia to her parents, but after the introduction, her mother and father change their minds.
"Ok, okay." Mama Irana agreed to the terms proposed by Ardiaz.
"Thank you, Ma. Then Ar goes into the room first" Ardiaz told both parents.
"Yes," replied Mama Irana.
After saying goodbye to Mom and Dad. Ardiaz left the living room walking towards his room which was on the second floor.
Arriving at the room Ardiaz directly headed to the mattress to lay down his body while staring at the ceiling of the room to think of the words to his two parents who strongly rejected his relationship with Azmia. Ardiaz thought about how later if after meeting Mama and her Papa still rejected Azmia, how she conveyed to Azmia.
