The room was quiet. The items were neatly arranged with a hint of incense smoke covering. The fragrance that made the person who kissed her feel calm.
On top of the bed, a young woman deep asleep slowly opened her eyes. His hand involuntarily raised rubbed his forehead.
The eyes as beautiful as those peach blossoms were finally completely open. He lifted his body slowly while staring at the unfamiliar looking room.
Body stiffens. "Where am I?" he mempatin. Unknowingly the pair of peach blossom eyes were staring at himself.
What's this!!! What the hell happened to him?
Like being struck by lightning, the girl suddenly descended from her bed. But not a minute before he stood up, he fell down. His feet felt weak. With her hands reaching the edge of the wooden bed in a beautiful pattern, the girl tried to stand up again.
"Mr Princess! Are you okay?" A voice rang out from behind the girl along with quick-sounding footsteps.
"Are you okay?" His voice was soft but full of worry.
He helped the girl to her feet but the girl rejected him.
"Mr Princess."
"Don't—don't come near," he said in a hoarse voice.
"Mr Daughter, you..."
The girl tried to stand up again and her efforts this time came to fruition. Stretching the wooden bedpost, he now looked at the person who had just wanted to help him.
There were two women in front of him, only their clothes looked simple. "You're who you are?" ask those two people.
"Daughter doesn't know servant?" One of them asked with a face that still looked worried. "I am the personal servant of the Princess, Jingli. While he was the outer palace maid who helped the servant to bring medicine for you," she replied as she introduced the woman standing behind him.
"Personal servant?" He shook his head in pain.
"Mr Princess, are you okay?" Jingli took a step closer, but the woman came back to prevent him.
"It's okay, I'm fine. Thanks for saving me. Sister, can I ask for help to escort me out of this forest? Or a place that has a signal?"
Jingli stared confusedly at this woman in front of him. Obviously he didn't understand what he was saying.
"Daughter, you rest first."
After saying, Jingli looked at his co-worker, giving him the code. It didn't take long, the waiter left them.
"Daughter, let me help, okay?" Jingli slowly approached and helped the girl to sit back on the bed.
"Sister, there's no need to call me that. My name is Han Yuan. You can call me Yuan," he said introducing himself. Feeling that Jingli did not have the intention of being a bird, then he just let the woman help him.
Jingli was at a loss to answer how. He can't do anything wrong right now.
"Sister, where do you keep my things? Here, I'm not too comfortable wearing this shirt. Where is this, by the way? The tradition is very thick, it would be nice if I could take some pictures here" Yuan said carefully so that his benefactor was not offended. Although there was still a lot of confusion and anxiety that he felt, but Yuan was very good at hiding his feelings.
"Mr Princess, hambur— do not understand what she said Princess."
"Aah?"
Not long ago a beautiful looking middle-aged woman entered the room along with a few maids and an old lady in white.
"Daughter," said the beautiful woman as she opened her hands in front of Yuan. He was about to hug her.
Seeing this sudden arrival of the crowd made Yuan startled. His relaxed body stiffened again.
"Wait, don't—don't come here! Sister, what's wrong? I—can you take me out of here? After I return later, I will replace all the expenses I have spent on you." Yuan pulled Jingli's arm, staring at him heartily. It's not feeling good right now.
"My son, what's wrong with you? You—you don't recognize your mother?" The woman cried when she said it.
Seeing the woman in front of him cry, not knowing why her heart ached.
"It's all the mother's fault that can't take care of you. You don't even want to call me mom?"
"Your Majesty, allow Jingli to speak. Actually the Princess also does not recognize the servant. Since the Princess woke up it has been like this. The Princess is very affectionate with Her Majesty the Queen, this is not the wrong Queen, this is one of the servants who have neglected to look after the Princess." Jingli's statement made the middle-aged woman look at him.
Yuan looked at those people in great confusion. His head hurts again. What are they talking about? Who is the Princess? Who is Her Majesty the Queen? Where is he? What the hell's going on? And many more questions revolved around his brain.
My eyes look teary. Yuan pressed the back of his head. The pain and fear are mixed into one. He just wanted to go home now, but he didn't even know where he was now.
Either because of too much fluid accumulating in his eyes, Yuan felt his gaze blurry.
"Xiao Li!"
"Mr Princess!" That faint shout was still heard before Yuan finally felt calm again.
***
In his sleep, Yuan muttered softly. Her pair of beautiful eyes that were covered in lashes slowly opened.
"Mr Princess, are you awake?" That soft voice made Yuan turn his head.
Yuan looked at Jingli. He seemed to be thinking about something but hesitated.
Looking at Yuan who was just looking at him without saying a word, the woman became anxious.
"Mr Princess, are you okay? Servant—hamba will call the court physician."
"Where am I?" Hearing Yuan's question, Jingli stopped his steps and turned his body back.
"Sister, where are we?"
Despite the anxiety, Jingli still replied, "We are of course at home."
Yuan shook his head slowly. "No. That's not. I mean, what dynasty is this?"
"Ah, this is the Qin Dynasty," Jingli replied.
"I didn't expect this to happen, but looking at everything now, it's too unlikely that this is all prank, right?" mumbling slowly. Being too tired to cry and crying won't bring her back, right? Then what else now? Suicide to try whether he will be able to come back or not? No kidding! He even still felt a pain in his body that was too impossible to say this was just a dream. And also, what if he killed himself, would that guarantee he would return to his world or directly enter the hell of the express lane? See it? Just thinking about it made him dizzy again. So forget about it!
Suddenly, Yuan remembered something and asked, "Who am I?"
Understanding his master's condition, Jingli immediately replied, "You are the First Princess and the first child of King Huang and Queen Yin of Zhou's kingdom Zhou YanLi."
"What is sick? How long have I been asleep?"
"It's not because of pain. The Princess had an accident three months ago. You drowned in the backyard dock. Fortunately Princess Feng Ji found you and immediately asked for help."
"Drowned?" repeat the Jingli-tuned Yuan.
'Am I really time travel?' inner Yuan asked.
"I understand. Sister, what's your name?" Yuan chose to change the subject rather than thinking about his fate in dramas like Splash-splash love, The Romance of Tiger and Rose, The Eternal Love, Love Better Than Immortality, Oh My Emperor and others.
"Her name, Jingli. Servant is the personal servant of the Princess since childhood."
Yuan nodded in understanding. He thought of something else too. "Sister, can I get out of this room? I want to know how it's out there" he said. Behind his fear and anxiety, Yuan also felt curious about how things were going outside of this room and outside of the palace. It seemed like if he could really return to his world, instead of him being arrogant but with his intelligent brain it seemed like Yuan would become a historian during the Qin dynasty.
"Your Majesty the Queen forbids you to leave before you recover. Princess, you must rest again. Slave will take medicine for you or Princess wants company?"
Yuan shook his head. "It's okay. Sister Jingli can do your job.
"Then, I'll go first."
