My Devil Emperor

My Devil Emperor
Murders

A whisper was heard in the room. All pairs of eyes stared at a servant who was kneeling in the middle of the room without saying a word.

"Still refusing to talk?" ask Yuan. His eyes flashed furiously as he did not get the answer he wanted.

Yuan stood up and stepped down to approach the woman. His golden clothes swept across the stairs he was propping up. Yuan stopped, standing right in front of the servant.

"I've never seen you before. Where were you assigned?" asked Yuan this time with a calmer face.

"Main page."

"What's your name?"

"Servant's name, Cai Li."

"You're the one who told Jingli to meet Princess Luo Li?"

After being silent for a few seconds, the waiter named Cai Li nodded and replied, "Yes."

"You also came to the Qin Palace to see His Majesty, right?"

Again Cai Li took off. His movements were slow with a downcast face that even others could not see through his face clearly.

"Who told you to? Or the... You did it yourself?"

Slowly the servant's face lifted. His eyes were plain unread then he grinned. "Who told me to? Your Majesty did you forget? It was you who told me to do it?" lightly said.

His statement certainly made the atmosphere more tense.

"I? It's bullshit! How could I have done it? " deny Yuan angry.

He clenched his hands holding back the emotions. What the hell's going on?

The waiter laughed and spoke more and more. "That's you, Empress! You told me to do it! Everyone knows that you are not the real Empress Xuan. You are forced to marry His Majesty. You are separated from the one you love. Doesn't this make sense? Why do you keep dodging the Empress? Didn't you promise me that if this doesn't go according to plan, you won't trouble me anymore? Forgive me, "he said with increasingly teary eyes that he was the one being persecuted.

Yuan shook his head slowly. His eyes narrowed with a worried look. His head was boiling and heavy.

The whispers were clearly heard, naturally questioning the truth about what Cai Li had just said

"You!"

Yuan turned to look at ZiXuan's face from down there. The handsome man's face was cold as usual. It's hard to guess what he's thinking now.

"If Your Majesty wants to punish someone, other than a servant, you must also punish Empress Xuan," Cai Li continued.

ZiXuan looked at Cai Li who was looking at him boldly. He smiled and said, "Oh, really? Who will believe your words? I don't know if this is your plan to destroy me or whatever it is, you're sure to have failed. You can say whatever you want. But if you think I can't make you say honestly, I'm sorry to disappoint you. I don't think I'm going to play anymore."

Cai Li again laughed disdainfully. "Of course His Majesty refused to believe him. You've fallen into your empress' charm. Now you want to drag me into that investigation room? Killed me? Haha the emperor of female conquerors is now conquered by women?" he patronized.

His body jolted as he felt a root with a lotus flower that had somehow appeared from nowhere wrapped around his body. He could not even make another sound, like something was holding his voice.

"Holy weapons of hundreds of thousands of years, LinghunGen!"

( ⁇ /Linghun gen: Soul Root)

The cultivation world had started to disappear tens of thousands of years ago, there were only how many people were left. Cultivation was one of the paths to gaining strength but it was difficult to do. Since knowing martial arts that allows all circles to master it, cultivation began to be abandoned.

Not everyone can cultivate. A person born without a spiritual core is often the weakest and most useless. Unlike martial arts that everyone can practice, with or without a spiritual core.

ZiXuan had the blood of a cultivator's descendant, but they only heard about it. No one knew if it was true, nor did anyone know whether ZiXuan possessed cultivation science. But today they saw with their own eyes, how ZiXuan's spiritual power had been hidden all along.

They only knew ZiXuan had an incredible martial level. Winning the battlefield with a swing of his sword and armor.

LinghunGen continued to wrapped around Cai Li's weak body.

ZiXuan stood up and stared intently at the object that was wrapped around his sacred weapon.

"It's okay if you can't say it willingly, he'll make you tell the truth."

The atmosphere of the room stiffened again between wanting to know the truth and wanting to find out how powerful the legendary weapon could only be read through the book.

Cai Li's face paled instantly. His eyeballs moving left and right were not calm. If only the lotus root had not been wrapped around his body, perhaps he would have fallen to his knees by now.

ZiXuan was about to raise the first question but a silver needle shot out and pierced the servant's heart.

He realized too late, even the black shadow disappeared as fast as lightning.

Cai Li whimpered in pain. He soon spewed blood from his mouth.

The dark red blood splashed onto the clothes he was wearing. How much dripping down dirtied the floor. The pain still rang out in each of his breathing that began to grow heavy.

The hall of trial became chaotic. Screeches of fear filled the room.

Luo Li who was standing not far beside Cai Li turned her body, tightly hugging BaiSan's sturdy body which also rubbed her back soothingly.

"Not good! He's poisoned!" said Li Wei who first noticed it.

ZiXuan released that lotus root from Cai Li's body.

Cai Li collapsed in front of Yuan's feet which covered his mouth.

The petite body of the woman trembled at the horrifying sight that was happening before her eyes. He stepped back.

Cai Li's blood-stained hand reached the end of Yuan's shirt. Pulling her weakly was like asking for help before then exhaling her last breath.

ZiXuan walked quickly down the stairs and reached for the tiny body, pulling him into a warm embrace. Removing Cai Li's hand from Yuan's clothes.

"General Li, arrest the murderer! Close all the palace gates. I want his life!" zixuan said in.

"Good!" Li Wei immediately ran out of the trial hall followed by a few soldiers.

ZiXuan looked down at Yuan's paper-white face. His ever-shining bead of eyes now dimmed in fear. Her rose-red rancid lips tightly clenched and trembled. Even if ZiXuan released his hand from Yuan's slender saddle, he could make sure the woman would fall down.

"It's okay. I'm right here."
