My Devil Emperor

My Devil Emperor
Threshold

The screams made the guards and some servants come.

"What's going on?"

A servant ventured to enter the Qin palace. How surprised he was to see Yuan already sitting down right under his bed while holding his stomach.

"Empress!" the servant immediately approached Yuan.

"Call the palace healer immediately!" he shouted at the people standing in front of the door.

Chaotic, the servants ran inside to see what was happening, some more ran to call the palace healer. The emperor's residence was heavily guarded.

Yuan closed his eyes withstanding the excruciating pain. Shoulders vibrate. Her eyelashes moved before finally opening slightly.

Weakly, Yuan's hand held the servant's arm and said, "Save... Save my son."

The maid clasped Yuan's hand, channeling a hint of calmness like a mother calming her child. "The Empress, nothing will happen to the future successor of the dynasty. Don't worry."

He was not much different from Yuan. He also felt worried and scared. His bath kept asking, why did God test the empress as well as Yuan with such a heavy test?

"I'm sleepy" said Yuan lirih.

"Stay awake, Your Majesty the Empress."

Yuan didn't listen to him. He felt his eyes were heavy. His entire body was like it was crushed, it was so painful that it was numb. His eyes slowly closed again, before his consciousness was gone, he could hear the voice of the servant calling back to him.

Shortly after, ZiXuan arrived. He was like getting a huge blow when he saw Yuan unconscious. The place where the woman was was already filled with pools of blood, even Yuan's clothes which were still clean for a few minutes, had now changed color.

ZiXuan took over Yuan's body from the servant. His eyes looked confused and empty.

"Xiao Li," he called out slowly.

Coinciding after he summoned Yuan, the palace healer came in a hurry.

The palace physician directly checked Yuan's pulse. His eyes widened in surprise.

"What's wrong? What's going on?" ask ZiXuan directly.

"There's poison in his body." The healer's eyes led to a slightly messy stone table. He walked up to the food that was up there, took out a silver needle from the box and examined it one by one.

"Empress!" Jingli and Yunniang entered the Qin court. Both look worried. They wanted to approach Yuan, but detained Li Wei.

"What... What's going on?" tanya Jingli stammered. Tears dripped from his eyes. He felt very scared.

Li Wei rubbed Jingli's back gently and said, "The empress was poisoned."

On the other hand, the healer still had not found any poisonous food. He was just about to give up before his gaze fell on the golden cup that fell under the table. He immediately picked up the cup and inserted a silver needle into it.

The silver needle instantly turned black. The doctor immediately kissed the remaining poison in the glass. He was surprised as he said, "The poison is inside this drink."

"Poisons? But all the food was made by the empress herself. How can there be poison in it?" yunniang said in disbelief.

"It's a meridian-destroying poison. But as far as I know, this kind of poison doesn't come from our area."

In traditional Chinese Medicine, Meridian, Hanzi: ⁇ ; pinyin: jinngluo is a network of chi (energy) pathways scattered in the body. If blood has a network of blood circulation, and nerves have a network of nerves, then energy also has its own network called meridians.

Without everyone realizing it, ZiXuan and Li Wei stiffened. That means, the A-Xue that the medicine merchant spoke of was really the same person that caused the mess in the Storage Room a few months ago and the one who wanted to get rid of it.

"Your Majesty, can you and everyone come out first? Servants will do their best to save the Empress and."

ZiXuan did not reply, but he directly lifted Yuan's body and laid her on the bed. Then with heavy steps came out of his room. People followed him in silence.

Li Wei walked beside ZiXuan. He had no intention of saying anything now. This attack was too sudden for the two of them before preparing.

"Jingli stop crying. I'm sure, the Empress and the future successor will be fine."

The voice made Li Wei turn his head. He looked at Yunniang who was comforting Jingli.

His eyes suddenly opened. He looked closely at the two girls who were walking not far from him. It's hard to believe. Breath choked.

"Your Majesty, his hand—" Li Wei was like at a loss for words. But his eyes were staring intently at one of them.

ZiXuan who realized his weirdness also stared at the object Li Wei was looking at. There was nothing strange until he saw the hand.

The words of the medicine merchant just a moment ago reverberated in his ears. "... Ta—ta—but I remember, Miss A-Xue has a mole on her left arm."

Moles on the left arm. Why is he only realizing it now? Unknowingly, ZiXuan clenched his hands. He was about to approach the two maids but was detained by Li Wei.

"Let go! I'll make him pay for what he's done!"

"You can't do it now!"

ZiXuan stared intently at Li Wei. "Whatchu mean? Why can't I? You want to get in my way? General Li, you've seen it for yourself, what are you protecting him for?!"

"I'm not protecting him! But you can't do anything without proof."

ZiXuan smiled sinisterly. "Evidence? I don't need it. I can kill him right away. No, killing him is too light, I will give him a thousand sufferings that he will never feel before until he begs himself for his death!" He again wanted to approach the two girls who looked increasingly distant but Li Wei also pulled him back forcefully.

"What will you explain to the Queen? Without proof, you think he'd believe you for eliminating his personal servant? He will suffer more. You want to see him sad? Moreover, their relationship was excellent."

Realizing that what LiWei said was true, ZiXuan felt increasingly helpless. With a feeling of anger, he walked away.

Li Wei only looked at him concernedly. He perfectly understood what ZiXuan felt even though he was not in his position. Li Wei immediately walked quickly following ZiXuan.

"Your Majesty, calm down. Focus on the empress, the matter of evidence, the servant will soon find her. This guy was so smart, he made the empress a scapegoat because he knew that if his plan failed, you would never blame the empress because she knew how valuable the empress was to you and you never doubted her. If the plan is successful, then the empress will bear the blame. One arrow to kill two at a time. Really the perfect plan. But who would have thought that the empress always managed to defeat him?"

"That doesn't matter anymore. I just want his life! I want him to suffer!"

"Good!"
