“What do you want to say?” ask Papa Danzel. His eyes continued to observe one by one his son. It seemed tense, no one relaxed. Bad air really does shine there.
Alceena sighed, she wanted to tell me about a problem she had just discovered in Munich. But, there are more suitable to uncover on his parents. “Selena, please tell Mama and Papa,” the door while looking at the sister.
Papa Danzel and Mama Gwen turned their eyes to their eldest son. Both eyebrows are raised because Selena looks sad.
“Are you ok, Selena?” ask Mama Gwen. Even in his eyes he could see that his son was not well.
Selena bit her lower lip. His heart was circulating for fear of making his parents disappointed by his actions that were already pregnant with his sister's former husband.
“Tell all, it's time, don't be covered up,” whispered Aldrich who sat next to the older brother.
“Ma, Pa.” Selena looked at her parents first. “I'm sorry,” he said with trembling lips and tears dripping past the cheeks just like that.
“Why? Did you make a mistake?” Mama Gwen asked with a confused mind.
Selena nodded her head. “I'm pregnant,” she said while stroking the stomach.
Mama Gwen and Papa Danzel looked ordinary when they heard the news. Being pregnant is a gift, not a disaster.
“Good, dong. Why should you be sad about your pregnancy? Were you harassed by someone else? Or don't want your fetus?” ask Papa Danzel. For now his eyes only focus on his stepdaughter who as a child is very sweet, submissive, and adorable, and he cared for for more than twenty years.
Selena replied with a nod, then turned into a head bobble. She was abused and forced that night, but she wanted the fetus.
Selena's answer certainly leaves Mama Gwen and Papa Danzel confused.
“I want this fetus, Pa,” replied Selena with a sad face accompanied by stroking the stomach.
“Ya already, raise it if you do accept your pregnancy,” said Mama Gwen. “Then, where is the problem? Why has your face looked so grim since?”
“Wouldn't that man take responsibility for you?” timpal Papa Danzel tried to guess before his son replied.
Selena shook her head, but did not make a sound yet.
Alceena was very anxious with Selena who did not immediately explain the point. He blew the air upwards from being too tired to listen to the meek brother like his mother. “Sorry, I interrupted. We won't be done quickly if we continue like this.”
Alceena, who had been sitting quietly leaning on the sofa, finally turned upright. He looked at his parents with a stern face.
“Selena's pregnant son Brandon Brooks, my ex-husband-to-be. And their incident happened when Selena and Aldrich had a job in Munich, three weeks before I got married.” In the end, Alceena also explained. Though he wanted to give space to the brother to be honest with their parents, but since then never revealed by Selena.
Mama Gwen and Papa Danzel automatically round their eyes. Confused is certain. Surprised what else. Disappointed of course.
“Why did you do that to your sister? Mama never taught you to stab each other from behind,” asked Mama Gwen.
