The Sumbing Mountain Climbing
Gunung sumbing is the third highest volcano on the island of Java after semeru mountain and slamet mountain, with an altitude of 3371 MDPL (meters above sea level ).
This mountain has many climbing routes, I happen to plan this climb through Bowongso basecamp located in Bowongso Village, Kalikajar sub-district, Wonosobo district, Central Java, Indonesia.
Starting on November 7, 2019 I look for close friends who want to also climb the cleft mountain, but the result is that no one wants to because of work and other things, factors, then I searched on social media facebook by looking at some posts and got someone by the name of muhammad sirod who was also looking together to the cleft mountain with the same path that is via bowongso. then I commented on his post by asking whatsapp number to be easy to communicate.
After wondering whatsapp, there is an agreement we will go to Gunung clebing on November 9, 2019 and he took his sister named Ujang, so we leave to be 3 people
After a few days, tangal 9 arrived, I cleaned up the goods and climbing equipment in the morning so that no one missed, because the plan was to leave at 17:00 Wib by public bus, my friend departs from the long leuwi terminal and I wait in the pul Budiman Rancaekek Bus.
Ashar made me bathe and pray and rushed to Budiman Bus pul in rancaekek. At 17:30 wib an Bus arrived with a major in Bandung-Wonosobo at a cost of 90 thousand, I stepped into the bus and met a friend who was on the sosmed and then shook hands because I had just met and had a conversation on the bus. The bus journey from Bandung to Wonosobo takes 8-9 hours, we arrived at approximately 03:00 in the morning.
After arriving at Wonosobo precisely at the Mendolo terminal we check again the logistics of climbing may be lacking because in the basecamp there is no longer Indomart/Alfamart. After everything is ready we continue the journey from Mendolo terminal to Pasar kertek using public transportation at a cost of 5 thousand per person, after arriving at the kertek market we moved again public awareness because of different majors, we took public transportation majors bowongso at a price of 20 thousand per person because we rented the angkot, which is, usually only 5 thousand per person because rarely this angkot passes so we had to rent it with the aim of not misfortune when reaching the basecamp.
At 07:00 am to the Bowongso Basecamp, we have breakfast so that the body does not limp in the nearest stall and make payments Simaksi in basecamp at a cost of 20 thousand per person.
There is a Uniqueness in BC (basecamp) Bowongso, we are given a piece of paper that must be filled in the list of items we carry when climbing, we are given a sheet of paper that must be filled with the list of items we carry when climbing, this stuff must be brought back his garbage and no one should be left behind, if anyone is left behind then we are sanctioned with some approval, he said, but it is also good so that the mountain remains clean from the garbage brought by the climbers.
After finishing filling the list of goods I returned to the BC and paid the cost of our simulation was surprised by being given 2 packs of plastic bags that contained coconut water and black coffee, he said, whether for what but the BC only asked to take it and should not leak intentionally, maybe it has become a local custom or maybe it can be drunk during an emergency.

If from GARDU PESAN to POS 1 TAMAN ASMARA, the distance is 400 meters, but the estimated travel time is one hour more trip, depending on our feet step.
From POS 1 TAMAN ASMARA to CAMP PLALANGAN the distance is close, only 600 meters. The travel time is also about an hour. here is still shady because it is still in the forest.
From CAMP PLALANGAN to POS 2 BOGEL, the distance is close to only 500 meters. But the terrain that is so steep makes mental down. So the travel time is about 1.5 to 2 hours.
After finishing taking care of the Simaksi, We began the climb by chanting prayers in the heart. Arriving at the gajahan camp precisely in the afternoon at about 16;00 wib we set up a tent with a still atmosphere of thick fog does not look anything just a shadow of the white wall of fog.
Then cook for dinner because the stomach has started to empty, Ba'da magrib arrived while we were cooking the fog was slowly starting to disappear and the sun was emitting a sinarna in the west with a very beautiful sunset lanscape we immediately came out of the tent while enjoying the sunset until the sun drown, then continue cooking and enjoying the dish. After finishing our meal we rushed to rest because tomorrow will continue the journey to the top of Rajawali cleft mountain.
While I was sleeping I woke up around 11 pm and the strangeness occurred, I heard a sound like a person playing music from afar and still sounded vague, vague, I thought maybe it was music from the guy who camped post 2.
I try to keep the mind positive and not get carried away with suggestions, because it was still difficult to sleep because there was still a sound I decided to move the tent and go to bed with my friend who was two people. well there the sound was getting louder and there was a woman singing there I was getting scared, but alhmdulillah I could sleep.
Alarm At 03:00 wib rang me and my friend woke up, then made breakfast to fill the stomach so that the summit to stay fit. We prepare items that will be carried like a small bag, and then make breakfast to fill the stomach to keep fit, snacks and water.
After all we were ready to go out the tent and again say a prayer to be given salvation because praying will never be finished.
We set foot from the salary camp to the third post, just until the middle of post 3 precisely in the PHP climbing area I noticed my friend's speech, daydreaming continuously like a confused person, he said, apparently he felt dizzy head and could not continue the journey to the top, then his brother Sirod drove his sister to go down to the gajahan camp and I continued the journey alone with a strong wind.
After arriving at Post 3 I reunited with my friend Sirod who followed again to the top.we continued the journey and arrived at the top lip of the cleft mountain, cleft, the journey to the top of Rajawali must still be taken approximately 40 minutes, the distance is not too far just the path in the form of steep cliffs that must make us hold onto the weebing rope that has been provided by the cleft mountain manager.
At about 07;00 wib we arrived at the top of Rajawali with gratitude for the beautiful scenery, the mountains around central Java are visible and see the caldera of cleft mountain is very gallant. there we took a break while capturing the moment with a photo.at 09:00 we descended from the top of the eagle with very hot weather and strong winds.
When I arrived back at the gajahan camp I saw my tent that had collapsed, it turned out to be carried away by the wind fortunately I was there because it came down again earlier, and took my tent that almost flew it. if there is no test, maybe my tent has flown and fallen into the ravine.
Then we cleaned up and went down to basecamp bowongso. When in basecamp ujang told me it turned out that made him dizzy at the summit earlier, he said, while he was sleeping there is a figure of a creature that sleeps beside him and makes the speech of the mind continues to make him not physically fit. There I and sirod surprised and said that we took a bath in the basecamp continue to eat and return to the mendolo terminal then go home using the bus to Bandung.
