Part 14's. My Maid and I.
At midnight Adam woke up to a notification from his phone. Just an hour ago he fell asleep. Actually, he was not able to close his eyes. He tried not to think about what was going on in the dining room.
The dinner was not just attended by the family. But the woman he was about to marry was also present in their midst. Although initially Adam wanted to marry the woman with her Mommy persuasion and also as her escape from Sarah.
But he did it by force. Before it was finally canceled because it knew the truth about Sarah. Jane Milano was a friend of Sarah Hamilton's late wife.
After a slightly awkward dinner, Adam returns to his room. He was not so eager to eat the food. Seeing Jane's attitude made her sick. Because the woman made him remember Sarah clearly.
Even the woman disturbs her composure by putting Sarah in front of her eyes. 'If Sarah were still around, maybe I'd have chopped her with roasted turkey thighs' Adam thought. Notifications on his phone disperse his daydream. The clock is 00:10 am. And the notification on her phone tells her that Mina, the woman who is a maid in her apartment in Singapore, is contacting someone.
Because the distance and time of Canada and Singapore 12 hours it makes Adam wake up at midnight in Canada who heard the notification.
Adam pressed an app in the notification that was prepared for Adam by his assistant. The app for tapping hacked into his maid activities was also his maid talk. Applications that are already in translete use English from any language in the world.
Adam pressed the on button to hear his maid conversation.
"Hallo.." said the male voice.
"Hallo.." the man came back.
There was no response from Mina. Adam was still waiting whether the maid was closing or continuing. Until it was heard the man returned to his voice but with his tone rising.
"HALLOOOO.." said the voice. Adam was a little emotional because, however, he cloudspeaker his phone to make it sound clear.
"Ha.. hello... Mas.. it's me.." said a voice the woman Adam knew was Mina's voice.
And the conversation continues. Adam listened carefully. What was the content of the conversation and also the essence of their discussion. And Adam sometimes smiles sometimes angry with their conversation.
Adam felt like he was an impolite stalker. In addition, he also hacked the contents of his maid cellphone which should be so privaci. Given that he also did not want his privacy at the time, he felt guilty for the maid.
But it was for the good of the maid.
Adam was uncomfortable.

The conversation of two people who miss each other is heating up talking about him who wants to return the maid back to the agency. Adam was angry and laughed how he could hire a gossip woman.
But a moment later their conversation became something even more sad. Even the words of love and gratitude from the man's voice made Adam feel that the man was so lucky to have a woman as good as Mina.

Mina tells her husband that she is in the Americas to visit her ailing parents. That way the man who became Mina's husband spoke at will. He thought that he could freely call Mina every day.
There was a stroke of emotion in Adam's mind. Cursing the man who was talking to his maid with a harsh word.
But the feeling disappeared in an instant, when Mina the maid rejected it by giving an explanation that she had to obey the rules of the house.
Adam smiled again at Mina's words.
30 Minutes have passed...
Mina had ended her conversation with her husband. And Adam's cell phone has stopped tapping because Mina turned off the phone.
Adam smiles a sigh of relief. That he did not regret not returning his maid to the agency. Actually Mina is a good woman. Adam could only wait because this was just the beginning. Although Mina has only added her husband's number so far. He has not been able to trust fully in his maid for now. Adam could only wait and observe the behavior of his maid, he did not want to fail for the 2nd time.
Adam opened an application on his phone that can directly see the CCTV of his apartment online through his phone even though it is thousands of kilometers away.
The woman he saw on CCTV is currently straddling her clothesline and then ironing her. Even this woman did not leave her apartment at all today. But this is just the beginning Adam thought. Only 1 day of his maid in his stay was not enough to ascertain how the true nature of the woman.
Luckily he installed CCTV in every corner of the house that can reach any activity he himself. Except for that woman's bedroom and the bathroom. For Adam it is impolite to record the privaci of others. Adam's private room is no exception. Despite his privacy, he himself watched.
Adam put his phone back on the nightstand and then started to even himself on the bed. Although he could not close his eyes, he still tried not to be too late in thinking about problems that would not necessarily occur later. But he could not trust the maid completely.
Adam yawned, and eventually sleepiness began to take hold of him. Adam only hoped that when he was in his subconscious he could meet Sarah, his love.
