Part 18's. My Maid and I
Adam drove his car at moderate speed on the streets that began to be crowded with all activities ranging from pedestrians and also cars that passed by.
Adam was in his hometown for a week. Even though he came here to see the state of the mother, there was not the slightest interaction between them. Adam felt awkward and so did his mother. Still sticking with each other's egos. And it's so hard to open your heart.
Adam only sighed softly when he found the road he was going through started to stall. He heard a horn sound here. And also those who curse each other with their mouths.
At any rate, he had to get to the hospital where his mother was being treated. After a long time away from mom, maybe this is the time for her to forgive her mistakes, Adam thought.
Hating her mother for the rest of her life will never bring Sarah back to her side again. That made him think for a moment. That was the word Mina said to her husband. When Mina's husband regretted everything he did but regret would not bring things back to the way they were.
So did he think Adam. Hating her mother for life will not change the current reality. Sarah will be back forever. Adam just thought it was time to open a new sheet and close the old sheet.
The traffic is starting to get under control. Adam drove his car to a hospital under the auspices of his father's company. After putting his car in the parking lot of the hospital yard, Adam came out in a hurry.
Meanwhile, Ellen followed him behind offsetting the steps of the older sister. Adam sees Allan just getting out of the elevator with his twin Allina. Adam approached his twin sister quickly.
"Al... Where's Mommy....?" Adam asked.
"Sister.."why both.
" Mommy is on a break right now. Her current condition is better than ever..." Allan explained.
"I hope you will accompany Mommy until she recovers... Mommy is also so expecting forgiveness from you. I hope you will not regret later.
Adam silently digested the words the younger brother said and nodded his head.
"I'm going to see Mommy right now" said Adam as he passed towards the elevator that would take him to the VVIP room. Ellen just silently followed the sister behind her to see the state of the mother.
Meanwhile Allan and Allina were already in their private cars to return to their respective offices.
Adam went into the room where the mother was taken care of followed by Ellen's sister. My mother's face looked so pale and thin. Ellen approached her mother crying.
Adam looked at the sobbing sister and approached her then pulled her into his arms.Adam's eyes were fixed on the heart rate monitor and also the infusion tube attached to his wrist and finger as if to remind him of Sarah.
Where he was so desperate at the time. Wishing the miracle of God to make Sarah free from her pain. Sarah was completely free from her pain, but the woman also left her for good.
" Oh, adam. my son..."
Adam's daydreams broke when he heard his name called by the woman lying in the hospital bed. While Ellen broke away from her brother's embrace and turned to approach her mother.
Her mother was dead. Ellen smiled at her mother and she smiled back at Ellen. Adam saw his mother smiling sincerely. Adam approached the mother when her mother's limp hand waved it.
Adam's hand was held tightly by his mother. Ellen, knowing that her sister and mother needed space to talk, decided to go for breakfast in the hospital cafeteria.

After Ellen left. Adam sat down on the chair beside his mother lying down. Adam stared silently at the blue bead passed down to his younger brother with a sad look. There was a conversation between them after a minute had passed.
"Mom..." Adam started.
" I shouldn't have separated you. I can see how much you love each other. I'm sorry son... has taken away your happiness.. Please forgive your mommy.." said the woman sobbing.
" I've forgiven you mom." said Adam slowly.
"Really son...?" ask the mother.
Adam nodded his head with a smile. The mother rose from her sleep and hugged Adam tightly while crying.
"Thank you son. You're going to forgive your mommy..." The woman said while kissing Adam's head.
"Yes ..mom..." Adam smiled.
" Let's rest.I'll take care of you until you're well mom.." said Adam, laying his body on the bed.
"Really son..?" ask the mother.
Adam just nodded his head while smiling.
The day passed quickly. After the return of the mother from the hospital, Adam only concentrated on the recovery of the mother. Her father, who is currently accompanying her, is at home with her.
Ellen, Allan, and Allina had already returned to their respective daily affairs. His faithful father accompanied the mother on her first day and the mother waved the white flag, smiling with relief.
Looking back on the interaction of the eldest son and his wife made him so happy after a few years this big house was so gloomy there was no joking and laughter at all.
After taking the mother to rest in the main room, Adam returned to the family room to approach his father who was enjoying a cup of herbal tea.
"Dad.." said Adam.
"Hmmm. oh. you son.." said the father.
"Your mommy's sleeping....?" ask the old man.
Adam nodded his head and sat his body across from the papa. Adam looked at the mature father who was still handsome even though he was consumed by age.
The man who has always been a role model in business was reading FORBES magazine which printed a picture of himself on the cover of the magazine.
Adam widened his eyes not believing what the father was doing.
"Where did you get Dad's magazine from...?" ask Adam.
"Hey... son... did you forget....? I'm a loyal customer of this magazine, of course I have a son." said the father.
Adam chuckled to hear the father joking. Adam was so sorry not to often visit his parents who were getting older. The wrinkles that began to fill his face and his entire body were what made Adam so sorry.
Fortunately, he quickly realized everything thanks to someone. Yes, that someone is his maid in Singapore. It was the woman who taught him the meaning of affection between families.
