22. Before the Business Meeting begins

Before the business meeting began, Grandpa took lunch at one of the restaurants in the Edoardo group's shopping center. There were also Roger's uncles Cedro and Clarissa.

"It's so nice to see you here, Daisy" Cedro who was sitting next to Maxi half whispered to Daisy who was sitting opposite her, when lunch was over. Now they just talk relaxed.

"Me too, Cedro, we haven't seen each other in a long time. Turns out you were assigned here to help Roger's uncle"sahut Daisy.

"On your birthday at the garden party, I was present. At that time I happened to be home with my father" said Cedro.

Grandpa and uncle Roger seemed to be discussing something very exciting. Sometimes they both laugh.

"I didn't tell Cedro" Clarissa, sitting next to Daisy, said, denying Maxi's words as if accusing her.

"But isn't that great. So other men wouldn't dare approach Daisy" Clarissa continued.

"Overnight uncle Luca video call with my father, one of whom talks about you. So I heard the talk" Cedro said to Maxi and Daisy, turning to the two.

"Goodoo. You are indeed a smart and very determined child, Cedro" praised Maxi.

"I think my father did too. But I'm not a kid anymore, Maxi. I'm twenty years old. Only three years younger than you" said Cedro. Maxi laughed at hearing that. Then raised his thumb towards Cedro.

"I think the business prospects in Amber are very good. Maybe I will also open a business here in the future" Maxi said.

"I think so too, Maxi. Economic growth and development has grown rapidly here over the past five years according to the results of research I read" Cedro showed an online article on his mobile phone to Maxi.

Maxi nodded his head "Of course" he said.

"We'll see Daisy performing together later. Grandpa's already booked a ticket for our family" Suddenly Grandpa Edoardo was already in front of them. The four of them were surprised.

Daisy and Clarissa turned towards Maxi. Then look at each other and hold back the laughter. Because of Maxi's facial expression that seemed to not bear to protest with Clarissa's words.

"They're actually teenagers, Maxi. Let it. Don't be so stiff" Cedro nudged Maxi.

For some reason, Maxi wanted to laugh at Cedro's words. He just realized that it turned out he had been very stiff, almost never kidding. His life has always been serious.

"If you're done meeting, stop by our workspace" Cedro pressed the elevator button towards the fourth floor. They took a different elevator than Grandpa.

"After work hours, we can watch cinema together" said Cedro again.

"It seems like a good idea" said Maxi.

"Would you like to watch cinema, Daisy?"Maxi looked at Daisy.

"You, Max" Daisy nodded.

"Well, we can finally watch together" Clarissa brandished her two thumbs.

They arrived on the fourth floor. Grandpa walked into Uncle Roger's study. While Mr. Thomas, Grandpa's personal assistant, was waiting at the door.

Gabriela was there. Sitting on the couch waiting for Daisy to arrive. Then immediately stand up when you see Daisy coming.

"This is our office, next to the meeting room. Just stop by when the meeting is over" Cedro opened his office door wide.

"I apologize for the change in our business meeting schedule. Hopefully you can understand" said the man was friendly to Grandpa. He bowed as a sign of respect and apology to Grandpa.

"Very understandable. You are also still trying to attend even though you are still in an injured condition" Grandpa said again.

"Mild injury only to the arm. The next few days will recover according to the doctor" the man showed a part of his right arm wrapped in bandages.

"Introducing this is Maxi, Fiorella's marketing director. Maxi, this is Mr. David Ferguson, our potential distributor from England"Grandfather introduced Maxi.

"It's nice to meet you Mr. Ferguson" Maxi greeted David.

"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Maxi" said David.

"And this is Daisy, Fiorella's director of operations" Grandpa introduced Daisy.

"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Ferguson" Daisy said.

"It's good to see you, Miss Daisy" David looked at Daisy unblinkingly.

She was as surprised as Daisy. The beautiful girl he saw this morning at the Benvollio Mansion why was it in the Edoardo group? thought. Besides, he was very fascinated to see Daisy up close.

"Please sit down, Mr. Ferguson" said Grandpa made David sober and immediately took his eyes off Daisy.

Daisy looks at Maxi and glances at David. He could feel the aura of competition between the two men. He was very afraid of what was on his mind.
