CHAPTER 29 Misunderstanding

Brandon misbehaves the words of Daniella. Jonathan's entry into Galaxy High Corp is not registered on a registration basis.

“Of course he's an employee here,” Brandon said.

Daniella puts on her smug smile at the receptionist. The receptionist frowned. He was not wrong in looking for employee data.

He also stood at the front guard who of course knew many other employees. “But, sir, I've searched correctly the name this Miss is referring to and the name was not registered as an employee as well..”

“You must be less thorough. He's the new employee I hired,” Brandon. He looked at Daniella. “Didn't you say you wanted to see me?” brandon asked with a smile.

Daniella looks at Brandon and sees Brandon's sweet smile for her. Evan tells her that the incident that happened to her is still related to Daniella.

Before Evan was in prison, his men had time to investigate who the mastermind who made himself and Veronika slumped.

All that the CEO of Galaxy High Corp did was to keep Daniella and Evan away. The CEO put his heart on Daniella, which is what Evan conjectured from the results of his investigation. Even Evan found out that when Daniella made the press conference, the Galaxy High Corp was at this location to monitor the press conference.

However, what makes Daniella difficult to believe Evan's remarks is, how could Brandon like it when they do not know each other before and moreover Brandon knows that he is the wife of his employees, except … Brandon knew the marriage between Daniella and Jonathan was a contract marriage or perhaps, the acceptance Jonathan had in his company was Brandon's alibi only.

Daniella was suspicious when Brandon came to offer Jonathan a job and provide facilities for her contract husband. Does that prove enough that Brandon likes it? Or is it Daniella who is too confident that her beauty is so seductive to every man?

Daniella shook her head slowly. “No. Yes, there's something I want to talk to you about,” explained Daniella a little nervous, she twisted the end of her shirt.

“Then, we go to my room,” Brandon invites by reaching out to show me the way.

Daniella goes with Brandon without having to use the visitor card, they get into the elevator and there are only two of them in the elevator. “What Jonathan worked well all this time?” ask Daniella who is trying to break the silence.

“Ya,” replied Brandon.

“Is he in his room at the moment?” ask Daniella again.

Brandon looked at Daniella. The trick question, Brandon sure there's no Jonathan in the office. He had no idea what the girl beside him was thinking. Neither did he know whether Jonathan was home or not.

“Do you think I'm an unemployed person who takes away every single one of my employees? Maybe someone else will know my every step. But, there's no way I know the whereabouts of every single one of my employees. Moreover, my employees are not just finger counts,” Brandon explained. He was looking for the safest answer.

Daniella sat down where Jonathan invited her. He was weighing whether he should really ask Brandon while he was unfamiliar in the man in front of him. A businessman, which Daniella does not know how much influence that person has.

“Why silence?” brandon asked when she saw Daniella just pensively staring at the floor.

Daniella looked up to look at Brandon. “I ... would like to ask, did you make Evan in prison?” daniel asked with courage.

Brandon was stunned to hear Daniella's words. “Who said?” ask Brandon.

“Please tell me the truth?”

“Not me,” replied Brandon. Technically, he did. All at Jonathan's behest.

“Don't lie to me, the information I received. You're the one who secretly reported it and also the one who has bought shares of his company.”

Brandon sighed softly. It seemed, the woman in front of him still liked her ex-lover. Brandon so feel sorry for Jonathan who sincerely loves the woman in front of him this.

“Reporting a crime is not something wrong. If you see a thief, are you just going to stay quiet? I just feel a little help with the police work. Is that wrong?”

“What is your motive for doing that? It is impossible ‘kan you investigate every company of others!”

“Yes, you're right. I just accidentally got interested in Evan's company and everything just happened.”

Daniella shut up for a moment.“Is this all because of me?” ask Daniella with great determination.

Brandon rounded his eyes, his face a little pias. Do you know who Jonathan really is?

Seeing Brandon's reaction, Daniella convinces herself that Evan's words are a little true that Brandon likes her.

“You did this because you liked me, didn't you? You want to separate me from Evan!” yell Daniella loud. He was very confident of his conjecture.

Brandon frowned more and more. Apparently, the girl in front of him had misunderstood him. Brandon really wanted to laugh. He also misunderstood Daniella. He thinks the girl already knows that Jonathan is the culprit.
