Chapter 39 The Last Tribute

Daniella can only be silent, she doesn't care about Jonathan. He just thought Jonathan was jealous.

The next day, Daniella prepares to attend Evan's funeral. Evan's death was a murder case and the killer has not been found.

"Where are you going?" ask Jonathan.

Daniella's been tidy in all-black clothes. After all, Evan was once his memory.

"To Evan's funeral" Daniella replied.

"Do you have to come?" ask Jonathan.

"Do you doubt my heart?"

Jonathan looked at Daniella inside. "No."

"If it's like that, let me go."

"I'm coming with you."

Daniella just nodded her head. Jonathan went into the room and replaced it with a black shirt and black pants.

"I called the driver first, I freed him not to always wait here" Jonathan said.

"No need, we just take a taxi" Daniella suggested.

They went to Evan's funeral, Daniella walked a little down. Using sunglasses, black dress under the knees. Intentionally not showing up so that not many know him.

Not many came to pay their last respects to Evan. I don't know what the cause is. Is this the cruelty of the business world? When you've broken down to the bottom of the abyss. So, no one cares anymore.

Daniella pays her last respects in front of Evan's photo. Beside him was a faithful Jonathan beside him.

Brandon looked at Jonathan from the corner of the room covered in poles. He just stared at his best friend from a distance.

He came to Jonathan standing up. "Can we talk?" ask Brandon.

Jonathan did not answer Brandon, he glanced at Daniella.

Daniella who was seriously paying her respects felt that someone was staring at her. She turned to Jonathan and saw Brandon next to her husband.

"Do you two need time?" ask Daniella.

"Can I borrow your husband first?" brandon's permission on Daniella.

"Please, I'll wait here" replied Daniella.

Jonathan and Brandon leave Daniella. The woman continued to pay her last respects to Evan.

"May the one who kills you be caught quickly" Daniella said in her heart.

Daniella just stood up to leave the room. However, his steps stopped. A beautiful woman stood in front of him.

"Why did you come here?" ask Veronika.

Veronika is given a suspension and she gets permission to come to Evan's funeral.

"I just want to pay her one last respects" Daniella replied.

"You should have died together. All those years you cheated on me, lied to me. If you love each other, you shouldn't involve me. Because of you, I was also affected by the impact," said Veronika firmly.

"Our relationship is not what you imagined it to be" explains Daniella.

"Yes, I know. Evan is a coward who can't make decisions. He can't leave me because of the treasure and he doesn't want to let you go even if he can't have you completely. Still, I hate you both. Because of your relationship, I'm in prison. Especially, because the Galaxy High Corp owner is obsessed with you."

Daniella shakes. "For those of you in prison, it's not my fault. You're the one who's cheating on business. Until, Brandon accidentally reported you."

"Without purpose? Are you stupid?" ask Veronika cynically.

True will be cheating that he did in business. However, if Evan is not involved with Daniella, it is unlikely that he will be reported.

"That's what Brandon told me. He just wanted to help ease police duties" Daniella said.

Veronika smiled bitterly. "real right. You're such a fool! Besides you've been deceived by Evan for years. You can't tell the truth or not. The owner of Galaxy High Corp is crazy about you. He did that because he wanted to get rid of Evan and affect me too!" terang Veronika's.

"Stop, Brandon doesn't like me!" elak Daniella's.

He made sure of himself and Daniella was sure Brandon didn't like it.

Veronika smiled bitterly. "I'm not talking about Brandon. I'm talking about the owner of Galaxy High Corp and not the CEO!"

Daniella is confused by Veronika's words. Either because his brain is slow in thinking or Veronika who says too long.

"I don't understand," muttered Daniella lowered her head.

Veronika has been investigating deeply about the man who put her in prison. He discovered the fact that Jonathan was the mastermind of it all. Also about the fact of Jonathan's true identity.

A wealthy man, from a distinguished family. A big boss behind Galaxy High Corp. One fact is known by Veronika, that the man had been treated for psychiatric problems. A crazy man in power. He knew he would not be able to fight the man.

Veronika is closing in on Daniella. He whispered in the ears of that beautiful model. "Your fate is worse than mine. You were cheated for years by Evan, taken advantage of by that man and now, you're loved by a crazy man! Jonathan is the owner of Galaxy High Corp. The crazy man who has been your husband is the man who destroyed Evan. Perhaps, even Evan's death was still involved."

Daniella's face turned deathly pale. Veronika pulled her body back. Smiling mockingly at Daniella, she was satisfied with the reaction shown by Daniella.

Veronika is sure, Daniella doesn't know anything about her husband. Very visible from the face pias Daniella.

"No way, no way!" mumbling Daniella.

Veronika doesn't care about Daniella's mumbling. He turned around and left the model with a smirky smile on his face.

Gather her strength to meet her husband. Daniella walks slowly looking for the whereabouts of Jonathan and Brandon.

Daniella walked over to the two men. However, his footsteps came to a halt, not the intention to steal a listen. But, his legs that were suddenly fixated, silent could not be moved.

"I'll take care of what's here. Hurry up and go abroad. I can cover up what you did to Evan."

Brandon's voice was clearly heard in Daniella's ears. His legs were getting weaker, he retreated his footsteps and chose to leave the place, without hearing the whole conversation Brandon and Jonathan had.
