CHAPTER 53 Renfield Syndrome

The wind blew strong enough that it made the hair of two men flutter, sweeping their faces with the cold gusts of wind in the afternoon.

Brandon looked at Jonathan with a cynical look. No need to pretend anymore. He was sure Jonathan knew everything.

"You came to my place no longer useful. They will drag you to the asylum and I will forever laugh at your misfortune" Brandon smiled.

"You're not human, Brandon. You're worse than me" joked Jonathan flatly.

"really? You're the only one who thinks that" Brandon said.

"Utilizing a madman for your ridiculous ambition! Until whenever you're just gonna be a useless human scum!"

Brandon chuckles. "You've admitted you're a lunatic. Funny, very funny," said Brandon still with his laugh.

"And you envy a madman. Isn't that more sad?" jonathan asked with a smile.

Daniella and Jonathan's meeting was arranged by Brandon. Although, there is a slight obstacle because Evan gives drinks to Daniella, who makes meeting Daniella and Jonathan not according to plan. However, Brandon is able to get Veronika to interfere, which results in Daniella entering Jonathan's room. Jonathan's obsession with Daniella makes it easy to recognize his woman.

Jonathan knew everything Brandon did. Brandon's plan to get himself rid of the people who bother Daniella, even Brandon managed to make Jonathan lose control to kill Evan.

Three days of living with Daniella was not just spent making out with his wife. Jonathan took advantage of that time to find out more about his conjecture with Brandon, and sure enough he had to accept the harsh reality of his best friend.

Jonathan walked closer and closer to Brandon "You envy me for not being able to do as you please. You can't be like me who easily does everything without thinking about the consequences. You're a petty, Brandon. In your soul, there's a psychopath. However, you deny it all and prefer to use myself to do it all. You're a human-shaped demon. You can only whisper to me to do vile things" Jonathan said calmly.

Although he already considers Brandon as his best friend.But, after knowing Brandon who has made him do a heinous thing. Makes Jonathan angry at Brandon. What's more, Jonathan just realized the drug he was taking was not the drug he should have been. Brandon replaced it with a drug that made him hallucinate. Sometimes even the closest people can't be trusted.

Brandon laughed out loud. "Do you think I'm the same as you? I'm not a lunatic like you, Nathan!"

"really? Then why did you provoke me to kill Evan? You even pretended in front of Daniella didn't know anything. Even you're acting like you're helping Daniella. And it was you who made Evan escape from prison and die at my hands."

Jonathan pulled out a dagger in his pocket. He scratched the dagger on his own palm. No pain was shown on Jonathan's face, he grinned horribly.

Fresh blood flowed, Brandon saw the blood flowing from Jonathan's palm. His gaze focused on that flowing blood.

"Look, isn't this beautiful?" jonathan asked Brandon. "Don't you miss what you've done in the past?"

Brandon looked at Jonathan. "What do you mean?"

Jonathan didn't answer Brandon's question. "Beautiful, this blood is so beautiful isn't it? Like the blood of the pets you caught. Drain the blood and you enjoy it like the best drink in the world."

"I don't understand what you mean!" hardik Brandon's.

Brandon already suspected that Jonathan already knew of himself who had been poisoning him. Act like a real man who wants the healing of his best friend. However, all of that was to cover up something dark from his dark past.

Brandon never expected Jonathan to dig into his long-buried dark past.

"Let me tell you something. Human blood that has just come out of the body is more delicious than blood that has been a few hours ago. The blood flowing was so fresh. Do you want to try it? I can quench your thirst. You no longer need to steal someone else's pet, no need to secretly bury it behind your house, and one more thing. You can do anything, no more father and mother will prevent you" Jonathan said, his lips offended with a smile. "And you don't have to bite a girl to quench your thirst."

Brandon just stared at Nanar the man in front of him. Jonathan provokes Brandon with his past. The past was dark when Brandon was 7 years old. A past buried by both parents. The number of cats and dogs that are missing makes Brandon almost mated time. Not only did he kill, he also drank the blood. Even the last victim was a 5-year-old girl, who was bitten by Brandon to get blood.

Strange things done by Brandon make his family considered as a worshiper of the devil. So that the small family had to leave the village where they lived and choose to live far from the population. Living in a remote village and Brandon was briefly shackled by his parents.

Brandon looked at Jonathan with nanar. He has long been free from his strange behavior. He has lived a very long time normally. However, who would have thought he actually still has Renfield Syndrome which makes him obsessed with blood. It's just, he's so secretive, he's good at playing roles. Unlike Jonathan who takes any action without regard for the consequences.

"You're trying to provoke me? I'm not you, Nathan!" dengus Brandon's.

Jonathan just smiled smirk. "Yes, you're not me. Because you can't just be my shadow. You'll still be a cowardly Brandon! Stand up straight just to be seen by others. You're not gonna be yourself. You will continue to secretly go to the hospital to get a bag of blood" Jonathan said with a sharp look.

Brandon widened his eyes. Out of nowhere Jonathan could dig up information about himself in that detail. No one knew about Brandon always getting a bag of blood.

"It looks like .. we'll be in the same mental hospital" Jonathan continued.

Bugh!

A blow was struck by Brandon and successfully landed on Jonathan's cheek. However, Jonathan had no expression of pain or not.

"Don't equate me with you, Psycho!" shout Brandon.

Jonathan stared intently at Brandon, returning a blow from Brandon.

Bugh!

Brandon and Jonathan are fighting each other. Brandon also has martial skills, as well as Jonathan.

"You really don't help, Nathan!" brandon.

"I don't need to be helped by anyone" Jonathan said flatly.

They beat each other until their position is on the rooftop fence. Jonathan clutching Brandon's shirt. The position of Brandon's body rests on an iron fence with Jonathan ready to push him.

"Kill me" challenged Brandon.

"Do you think I dare not kill you?" jonathan asked with a sharp look.

"I never doubted you. Even though I'm dead. I will be remembered as a normal person who fell victim to a madman like you, and you will always be remembered as a psychopath!"

Jonathan tightened his grip on Brandon's shirt. He was ready to push Brandon freefall from the top floor.
