The night sky had just stopped her crying. The spacious courtyard of the house was still filled with water droplets on each of its grass.
While the tanned soil under the green grass emits a petrichor scent that is too thick to soar into the air, creating a faint white mist that is barely caught by human neutrals.
The color between the pitch black still covers some corners of the night sky, refracting grimly to the earth that has just been left behind by rain.
The glass window that was awakened to the left of the bed was stained with dew blocking the view. The thin, bone-white curtains perfect a pair of binary barriers behind the windows to grab what rain left in his yard.
The rain tonight does not leave anything, except the smell of petrichor carried by the wind and greet the ventilation, before finally inhaled by the respiratory organs.
A beautiful figure with skin as beautiful as a porcelain doll that has just been produced by a famous craftsman who has not even been opened from the wrapper.
The figure who declared proudly that he was the number one Petrichor Hater in the world, who else would he be if not Viona.
It was no longer a secret that Viona hated the scent of wet soil that had just been left behind by the rain. If most people like the rain following petrichor the rain leaves but, not with Viona
I don't know what the reason is to the point that Viona hates the scent of earth and air after the rain. Hated him wholeheartedly. Hating him for a reason he doesn't understand, just like him who does not understand why people adore strange scents even give a name to the faint mist that pollutes the air and its respiratory organs.
"I'm sorry that it's raining all of a sudden?" scold someone from the door.
Viona turned her head and found Kevin leaning against the door of her room while holding his chest. The muscles of his arms are clearly visible, not too big but look strong when touched. Viona notices her Uncle's appearance, she wears black pants and a white singlet which is then wrapped in black Vest as well.
Then Viona leaves her place and approaches Kevin. "Uncle, where have you been? why did it suddenly disappear and I didn't just find you everywhere? Even your phone can't be reached, don't you know how anxious I am?!" and Viona immediately nagged Kevin all-out. He made the calculations with the man.
"I went to my old house. Suddenly I missed both my parents, so I went there." Kevin replied as he moved from his position and passed Viona just like that.
Kevin stood on the balcony of Viona's room, looking at the night sky covered by thick, pitch-black clouds. Viona approached Kevin then stood beside him.
Viona looked at Kevin anxiously. "Uncle, are you okay?" ask Viona to make sure. He saw sadness in the black eyes of the man.
Kevin changes his position, he and Viona face each other. "I'm fine and fine." Said Kevin. She tries to convince Viona that she is okay, even though she is not, she is not okay.
"Uncle, lying. I know you're not okay" Viona said, locking Kevin's right bead. Maybe Kevin can lie to everyone, but he can't lie to Viona. "Tell me, Uncle. What happened and why do you look this sad?" ask Viona. He really wants to know.
Kevin shook his head. He was confused as to how to tell Viona. Because after all, his current matter had nothing to do with him. Kevin was just too late in the pain of the past.
Viona sighed. "Yes, the weather tonight is really not friendly at all. Even though tonight is a full moon night, I haven't seen a perfect round moon in a long time" said Viona.
"Why then are you still not sleeping? What kept you up until midnight like this?" asked Kevin curiously.
"Uncle, I'm waiting for Uncle to come home. How can I sleep well while Uncle hasn't come home yet and there's no news." Viona said.
Kevin clasped the woman's body into his arms and hugged her tightly. Putting her chin on Viona's head. "sorry, it's already made you anxious. Uncle won't do it again, Uncle won't worry you anymore" Kevin whispered reassuringly.
"Uncle always promises, but none of those promises you keep. You've always put yourself in danger, and made me anxious all the time. When will Uncle stop putting yourself in danger?" viona said without ending the eye contact between the two of them.
Kevin ended the eye contact and turned around. "If I stop now, then it won't be able to protect you. Because just this way, I can protect you." Said Kevin while tightly closing his right eye.
Then Kevin turned around, his position and Viona came back face to face. "It's late at night you'd better get some sleep, Uncle's gonna sleep now, too." Kevin pats Viona on the head and leaves just like that. Leaving the woman alone in her room.
Viona let out a long breath. Then he went back to his room and went to sleep. His eyes were already unable to compromise anymore, he was going to sleep earlier this time.

Kevin kept going back and forth in his lying position. The wall clock had been pointed at 01:00 in the morning, but he still could not close his eyes let alone go to sleep. Kevin got up from his bed and went to the balcony of his room.
The sky looks brighter than before, the stars start scattered up there, one by one showing its existence. The one before was drowning in the black fog.
"Uncle, if someday I find someone who truly loves me sincerely, will you give us your blessing?"
Viona's words that night reverberated in her head. Kevin really could not forget his words, and Viona's remarks that night always disturbed his mind. There was a feeling of unwillingness when he heard the woman say that sentence.
Kevin doesn't know what happened to him, which is clear he really doesn't want Viona to be close to any man including Daniel, who has been friends with him for a long time.
Kevin took a long breath. "What actually happened to me? Shouldn't I be happy if Viona finds someone who really loves her, but why would I feel otherwise? I don't feel like she's with another man. Could it be if I had really fallen in love with her? Falling in love with my own niece!!"
