My Uncle's Warm Bed

My Uncle's Warm Bed
Not Your fault

Kevin came out of the toilet and found Viona sitting pensively on her bed hugging her knees. He just kept staring at the window that even Kevin himself did not know what was pulling in his eyes.

With certainty. Kevin swung both of his legs and walked over to Viona who seemed unaware of his arrival.

"What are you thinking?" and the question instantly distracts Viona. The woman turned her head and looked at Kevin flatly.

Kevin's gaze turned heartbroken when he saw Viona's desperate face. As long as he knew her, this was the second time he had seen Viona that broken. First when her mother died, and now after she lost her fetus.

Suddenly Viona lowered her head. "Sorry," whispered Viona softly.

He felt guilty for what happened to his son. Viona thinks if she can't take good care of her, she's a bad mother-to-be. Such was Viona's judgment of herself b

Kevin squinted his right eye. "For what?"

Viona's tears were pouring down her beautiful face. The woman cupped both hands on her face. The tip of his throat was sore from enduring the cries and destruction he was feeling at this moment. Pain and tightness, both of which are very difficult to release. It was as if pressing on his chest to make it difficult to breathe.

But when Viona felt someone clutching her body, her cries broke out instantly. "Stop, Viona. Don't be like this again, I beg you." Kevin closed his right eye and buried his head on Viona's shoulder. The woman's completely unchanged aroma made Kevin more tightened his embrace. "Don't cry anymore, I beg you."

But Viona did not comment on her husband's words. His entire body trembled, and his cries grew stronger as the guilt he felt grew. "Sorry, Uncle... I'm sorry, I'm really sorry. It's all my fault, I'm sorry," he said softly.

Kevin shakes. "Nobody's to blame. Because everything happens by God's will."

"He didn't deserve this, I should have taken care of him more. I was wrong, Uncle. I'm the guilty one" Viona said with tears growing. He's completely ruined.

Kevin kept his body away. His black eyes looked at Viona with a hard look. "Nobody is to blame" he repeated in a sharp tone. "And there's nothing to shake. Stop blaming yourself!! I don't like to hear it,"

Viona's cry eased slightly after hearing Kevin's words. The woman held back desperately her cries after noticing Kevin's stern and slightly unfriendly tone. Her head was still bowed, not daring to look at her husband even if just a glance.

Kevin took a long breath. Next to Kevin's hand was stretched out to wipe away the trail of tears that soaked his beautiful face, then moved and stopped at the side of the woman's face. "I don't want to see you like this" he whispered softly.

His gaze returned softened. Some of his feelings felt like they were pinned to the state of his wife. The woman now looks so devastated by guilt. There was no more aura of warmth that Kevin felt from her. His Hazel eyes that usually radiated warmth, now seemed to dim and empty.

Is this so ruined that Viona lost a child that Kevin wanted to have?

"Don't blame yourself like that, I really don't like to hear it" Kevin said as he rubbed Viona's cheek gently. "Nobody of us wants this to happen. But God loved him more so he took it back."

Viona was crying again. This time the cry was not as loud as before, but it felt more heartbreaking. Kevin sighed softly. It is not easy to persuade her, especially with the current state of Viona who is so lost her fetus.

Talking too much will be the same. In Viona's heart, that guilt must have stuck a patent there. Closer to his body again, Kevin again tried to calm his wife through a hug.

No more words, just hugs. And Kevin hopes that hug can calm him down more. All Viona needed now was support from those closest to her. And convince her that it wasn't her fault.

The body began to tremble withstanding the tiredness and cold that gnawed at his not-young physique anymore. He had been kneeling for over four hours just to get sorry from Kevin. But during those four hours, his efforts did not pay off.

"Frans, he could be dehydrated if he kept kneeling without eating and drinking." Rico said a little worriedly.

"I don't care!!" frans replied.

"I understand. But at least tell him to go and just tell him if Boss won't forgive him, that's fine." Said Rico.

Frans sighed. "All right, I'll try."

Reluctantly. Frans got up from his seat and approached the middle-aged man who was his real father, Mr. Roy. "Until when are you going to kneel here? She can't forgive you, because of you she had to lose her future son." Frans approached Mr. Roy and looked at him sharply.

"Papa, will not go and will continue kneeling like this until he will forgive me." Answer Mr. Roy. He stayed on his feet to keep on kneeling until Kevin was willing to forgive himself.

"That's fine, until the goat turns gorilla he will never forgive you either!!" frans confirmed.

"I know and I don't care. I just want him to forgive you." His word.

Frans sighed. Talking to a stubborn person is useless. Without saying anything, Frans got out of Mr. Roy's presence and sauntered away. He let the man continue to kneel like that.

It was too fatal a mistake he had made, so it was not easy for Frans to forgive him. And he'll only forgive his father if Mr. Roy gets an apology from Kevin. If Kevin forgives him, Frans will forgive him.

Cklek...

The sound of the door opening distracts Mr. Roy. The middle-aged man raised his head and found Kevin out of a room dominated by white. Regardless of the man, Kevin just went through it.

"Luis, wait!!" exclaim Mr. Roy while holding Kevin's hand.

Kevin looked coldly at Mr. Roy's hand. "Let go!!" door's cold.

"We need to talk." Mr. Roy pleaded.

Kevin jerked his father's hand violently and looked back at him sharply. "There's nothing to talk about anymore. You better get your feet up from here, I don't want to see your face again!!" just say Kevin and leave.

Good Kevin didn't shoot him dead right away. Kevin's anger was overflowing when he found out Viona had a miscarriage. And he's dumping all that blame on Mr. Roy, because Viona wouldn't have lost her fetus if it wasn't for him.
