Chapter 9. Shit Carrier

Flashback.

Rini whose gestational age is only 8 months has shown contractions. And quickly Reno took Rini to the hospital by borrowing a neighbor's car. Panicked to see his wife in constant pain, Reno did not concentrate on the streets.

“MAAASS!!”, shouted Rini as she saw a car speeding towards them.

DUO!

Their car also collided. Both are very critical. They were taken to the hospital. There they were given first aid. Unfortunately, Reno was unconscious. He's comatose. While Rini who suffered severe bleeding must be immediately in surgery to remove the fetus.

A few minutes later, two adorable twins were born. But, it seems like Rini has not been conscious from her sleep.

And after a few hours later, then Rini began to realize. He was holding his stomach which was deflated. He was very panicked and immediately asked what had happened to him to a nurse who was watching over him.

“Alhamdulillah, the operation is running smoothly. Mom has twins who are very cute”, she said with a smile

Suddenly, Rini's tears came out. She was relieved that both babies survived. Yes, she has 2 babies. And now he can't wait to meet them. However, having just been in surgery did not allow Rini to sit let alone walk. Both children must be in an incubator. So, inevitably he had to be patient waiting.

Then, she asked the condition of her husband to the sister. And he also received news that so broke his heart. It was so exciting to see Reno. But again, he must be patient.

The next day...

He tried his hardest to sit down. Yes, today she should see her husband and children immediately. He endured all the pain in his body. And he kept begging the nun to take her to see her husband and son.

Suddenly a doctor approached Rini. “Sorry Mother Rini, may we speak for a moment? This is about the condition of both children Ibu”, said the doctor.

“I.iya doc. Berke”, he replied a little scared.

“Begini Bu Rini, after we checked there was something on this mother's child. Mother's son, who has leukemia and Mother's daughter, seems to have pneumonia. Seen here one of his lungs is rather small than the normal size”, explained the doctor while giving a photo of the organ in his baby.

Instantly Rini's body became softened. He sat on the floor not believing the condition of his two children. She was crying from heartbreak, pitying to remember her little baby. Why does God give disease to such a small baby. How does he feel it? It must hurt a lot. Rini really did not have the heart to see the babies. He looked at those two innocent sleeping faces.

“Yes, God just move their pain to me. Hiks, hiks” muttered Rini while crying for her son. “Please doc, do whatever is best for my kids. I don't want to lose them, hiks, hiks”.

“Sorry Mom, unfortunately the facilities here have not been supportive for patients like your baby. Regretfully we have to say if the baby mothers should be referred to lain” hospital, said the doctor.

Rini can't say anything anymore. But, for sure, she had to save the baby. And another thought came up. What about the money for their treatment?

Since marriage, Rini and Reno's life has been simple. Reno works odd jobs and Rini sells rice sitting in front of their rental house. Yeah, their wedding was about by a big Reno family. However, Reno and Rini insist on staying together. So Ratna drove them out and took Reno out of her company. Ratna thought, Reno would not be able to live without having stricken the treasure. But, it turns out that Reno can really hold back all his desires regarding his family's property.

And now Rini really needs a lot of money for her son's medical expenses. Unfortunately, he did not hold any money. Not for the cost of her child's treatment. Paying his delivery fee alone he can't afford.

Then, Rini asked the nurse again to take her to her husband. He was immediately taken into the ICU. And before entering he met Ratna who was watching outside.

“See! What have you done to my son? Don't you think the consequences he's got? You've taken everything from Reno! You made him suffer with a life of deprivation and now you put him in a coma like that! You are indeed an unlucky carrier!!”, Ratna said furiously.
