Chapter 11 - Mermaid and Siren

They came home from Rania's house late in the afternoon. Sean who played too much ended up exhausted and now sleeps on Abi's lap in the back seat of the car. While Farhan who drives a car can only snort annoyed at the romantic scenery behind him through the rearview car.

"Well, you're busy tomorrow?" ask Abi.

"Why?"

"My company is Sean's family." replied Abi.

"Gue's busy, take Bang Novan." said Farhan cuek.

Farhan was always cold like that. But behind his cold attitude, he loved his family very much. He is ready to be a shield when there is a danger that threatens his beloved people.

After getting a funny answer from her brother Abi did not ask again. The guy turned to look at Sean who was fast asleep on his lap. His hand did not stop gently stroking the head of the girl on his lap.

Suddenly his eyes were distracted with a pile of books in the corner of the back seat. Abi read the title of the top book then turned his head and asked Farhan.

"Lo's still studying those creatures?" ask Abi.

"Hm. I'm still curious about their whereabouts." Farhan replied honestly.

Abi shook his head in response to his brother. Farhan used to be obsessed with mythological animals such as Griffin, Dragon, Cerberus, Phoenix and so on. Now Farhan turned to mythological creatures that came from the sea such as the Mermaid and the Siren.

Amidst the sudden silence Farhan asked his sister. "Lo believe they exist?" ask Farhan.

Abi shut up for a moment. The guy seemed worried about the answer he was going to say. "Eitherway. I'm confused. At first I did not believe in their existence. But the rumors circulating in the coastal communities I may believe a little they do exist" replied Abi.

Farhan mangosteen understands. It seemed that the guy was slightly satisfied with the answer his sister gave him. All this time either Novan or Abi had no one to think with him about the mythological creatures. Finally, Abi began to believe in the existence of these mythological creatures.

"If they exist according to Lo they are dangerous?" ask Abi.

"From the books I read, mermaid is not dangerous. But Siren..." Farhan did not continue his sentence.

"That thing is dangerous?" ask Abi.

"Hm." Farhan replied briefly.

There was no more conversation between the two.

Abi lowered his head observing Sean's pretty face. "Do you think mermaid and sirens are real?" asked Abi in a very slow tone. Abi thinks Sean is asleep and doesn't hear their conversation.

Real no. Sean woke up a few minutes ago. The girl was silent and pretended to be asleep. He heard all the conversations between Abi and Farhan regarding Siren and mermaid. And for the first time, he was saddened by the fact that the Siren was a dangerous evil being. Again a tear fell from the corner of the girl's eye. And turned into a pitch-black pearl

After a few minutes they finally arrived home. Abi holds Sean inside the house thinking the girl is still asleep.

"Who? Sean why?" shafira asked with a worried face.

"It's okay, Bun. Just overslept." replied Abi.

"Yaudah, you take it to Mother's room there."

"Yes, Bun."

Abi immediately boarded and took Sean to his mother's room. While Farhan had just entered while carrying a stack of books.

"Where are you, Han?" ask Shafira.

"Gather with his friends, Bun." Farhan replied honestly.

"Oh yeah, Farhan tomorrow aren't you busy?" ask Shafira.

"No, Bun."

"Thank God then. Later you say to your brother with your sister huh. Tomorrow help Mother prepare a room for Sean." said Shafira.

"Yes, Bun." replied Farhan then the boy immediately went up and went into his room to put down his books. Then go back out of the room to tell Abi the message from her mother earlier.

Incidentally when Farhan came out of the room, Abi also just came out of his room.

"Bi." call Farhan.

"Why, Bang?"

"Tomorrow said Mother ready the room for Sean" said Farhan.

"Ah, okay.. If that's not so find Sean's family." said Abi.

"Btw, take care of your groceries!" farhan's orders while handing out his car keys.

"Yes - yeah."

Abi took the car keys in his brother's hand then went straight down to the garage to pick up Sean's groceries earlier. When he was busy picking up groceries his eyes were sidetracked with black pearls in the passenger seat. Abi immediately took the pearl.

"Again?" muttered that guy.

Abi's hand reached into his jacket pocket and picked up the pearl he had found under his car seat. Compare these two pearls. Both are the same, just different sizes.

"Why can there be pearls in the car?" inner Abi.

"Woi! Why is lo matung there?" ask Novan who just arrived.

Abi hurriedly put the two pearls in his jacket pocket and then took the groceries in the car. "Nih, take Sean's groceries" Abi replied while showing some paper bags.

"Where are you?" ask Abi.

"Regularly, gather with the children." replied Novan.

Abi mangosteen understands. "Nih, help me take this to my room" Abi said while giving some paper bags to Novan.

"Gue is not babu lo ya njerr!"

"Bacot, help me."

And finally Novan helps Abi bring groceries to Abi's room. Why didn't he put it in his room when Sean was there? Because it is impossible for Abi to put that much stuff in his mother's room. She was afraid that her mother would be uncomfortable if her room was a mess.

After helping her sister with groceries, Abi immediately sent Novan out of her room. After her brother came out of her room, Abi immediately closed the door and locked it. The guy was sitting on the edge of his bed. Two pearls of solid black came out of his jacket pocket.

"Where did this pearl come from?" abi muttered while observing the pearl he found.

After about a minute of observing the two pearls, Abi took out his phone and looked for the characteristics of the original pearl. He suspected that the pearl-like object he found was just ordinary beads. But he was wrong, after finding out and paying attention to the two pearls again. Abi can conclude with certainty that both are real pearls. Not ordinary beads. The question now is, how can pearls appear in his car and his brother's car? While the pearl comes from oyster shells. While it is impossible to suddenly have oyster shells in his car and his brother.

"Gue has to find out about this" Abi said with a serious face.
