Chapter 13 - Siren Tears

After lunch together, they continue to renovate the room for Sean. Work went quickly as the three of them helped each other. Plus Mother Shafira and Sean who helped decorate the room, so that everything was quickly finished.

Now it's five o'clock in the afternoon, it's all done. Yes, although the room still smells of paint but everything is neatly arranged. Right now everything was gathered in the living room, sitting in a circle on the fur carpet while eating snacks and watching television.

"Tonight Sean slept in a new room?" ask Sean.

"Different. I'm the owner." Abi replied as he pulled Sean closer to him.

Shafira just shook her head while smiling at the jokes of her sons. "Sean, this is dear to you" said Shafira as she patted the carpet beside her.

"Yes, Bun" Sean releases Abi's handrails and immediately moves next to Mother Shafira.

Abi looked at Sean who was crawling into his bundle with an unwilling look. But he couldn't possibly forbid Sean from getting close to Shafira. He might get scolded again.

Novan who saw her expression was not willing Abi, immediately laughed at his youngest brother. "Mampus, the real Mother noh owner." chirped Novan with a laugh.

"Owner is a fake." said Farhan with a small smile and shook his head.

When everyone was joking, the television suddenly aired news about ten fishermen who disappeared on the beach where Abi was on vacation the other day.

"Bi, that's the beach where you vacationed yesterday, right?" tanya Novan who was influenced by Abi.

Suddenly everyone was silent on the news. In the news coverage stated that the bodies of six out of ten missing fishermen had been found by the SAR Team in a terrible state. "Let's take you to Mother's room, like you're tired." take Abi.

"Yes there, you take a break. Let it be between Abi." said Shafira.

Sean nodded. Abi immediately helped the girl stand up and took Sean up to the second floor to her room. Novan and Shafira looked at Sean with worried gazes. While Farhan looked at Sean with a worried look mixed with question mark gaze.

Upstairs, Abi tells Sean to lie down on the bed and cover her. "If there's anything call me" Abi said before leaving his mother's room.

But just before Abi left, Sean called the guy. "Abi.." call Sean in a soft tone.

Abi stopped his steps. Each Sean spoke his name with a soft voice his heart was pounding. His body pecked for a while, as if drugged with Sean's voice. Abi also has no idea what happened to him.

"What's wrong?" ask Abi.

"Who do you think did all the killing at sea?" sean asked doubtfully.

Abi shut up for a moment. Honestly, the guy is confused about what answer to give, because there are two different versions of the answer. When he entered the room, the man was surprised that Farhan was in his room holding two black pearls that Abi had placed on his study table.

"Well, you're in my room?" ask Abi.

Instead of answering Abi's question, Farhan asked back. "Where did you get this black pearl?" ask Farhan.

Abi stared at the thing his brother was holding. "In my car and in your car" he replied. Abi decided to be honest, because he thought there was no point in him lying.

"Lo know what this is?" ask Farhan.

Abi nodded then took one pearl from Farhan's hand. "Hm, I know. It's a pearl." Abi replied while observing the object in his hand. "I don't know why this thing could be in my car and your car" he said again.

Farhan sighed. The guy pulled his sister to sit on the sofa that was nearby. "It's not just any pearl" Farhan said, showing an online book on his phone.

"The pearls, which are shiny and look like they glow, are one of the hallmarks of mermaid tears and sirens" Farhan said.

"So? You want to tell me these are mermaid tears?" abi asked with a astonished look.

"Hm. And it's a deep black. This means Siren tears." said Farhan again.
