Chapter 14 - Farhan and Sean

Unexpectedly, that night the rain flushed the city with a rush. Lightning snatching. Even the weather forecast didn't say there was going to be a storm tonight.

In the middle of this night of heavy rain, Sean awoke from his sleep. The girl turned her head to the side looking at Shafira who was fast asleep. Sean slowly moved from the bed to the window.

His aura was not the cheerful Sean he used to show in front of Abi and his family. Sean's aura was currently returning to his true self, that of a ruthless siren filled with an aura of darkness. His eyes seemed to light up in the dark, his fingernails elongated and pointed. Scales began to appear on his arms and legs.

"Why do I feel uneasy like this?" inner Sean wondered while looking at the lightning that was snatching in the sky.

The girl turned towards Shafira who was fast asleep. It was in his mind to injure the middle-aged woman. But soon he caught his bad thoughts. Sean hurriedly ran out of the room away from Shafira, he did not want to hurt the mother of the person who was slowly filling his heart.

"Cannot. I can't hurt Mommy." muttered Sean as he continued walking briskly towards the backyard where there was a swimming pool.

After making sure no one saw him, Sean jumped into the pool. His legs slowly turned into a large and long tail. The color was still the same, the dark-black green glittering. The fins on his tail were still as sharp as a blade, his canine teeth began to appear. The girl swam to and fro trying to control herself so as not to hurt those around her.

Without him noticing, from the second floor window Farhan who could not sleep saw all the changes that happened to Sean. The guy couldn't believe what he saw.

"Crazy.." sissed Farhan saw all that.

After fifteen minutes of seeing Sean swimming here and there, Farhan decided to go out to get to the girl. No matter what risks he might face, he doesn't care. He just wants to see the girl now.

"Sean.." call Farhan.

Sean who had been swimming under the swimming pool was immediately silent and not moving. The girl poked half her head out of the water. Look at a guy whose face is covered in an umbrella.

Farhan slowly raised his umbrella so that his face was visible.

The two of them remained silent for a few minutes. Farhan still could not believe that now before him there was a mythological creature that he had been studying. Meanwhile, Sean, the girl's heart was racing in fear because now Farhan knew his true identity.

The guy slowly approached the pool. After reaching the poolside Farhan squatted down and looked at Sean back. The guy was quite careful because he knew Sean was a Siren of his tail color that tended to be dark.

"Lo won't hurt my family?" ask Farhan.

Sean was still in his starting position. The girl shook her half-headed head still in the water.

"Gue can trust you?"

Sean nodded his head. Even though he was desperately trying to refrain from attacking Farhan. He was honest, he didn't want to hurt Abi's family. The girl started to raise her head from the water as a whole. Now only the chest to the tail is under the water.

"Farhan, please stay away from the pool." asked Sean.

"Why?"

"I don't want to hurt you." Sean replied honestly.

Farhan was silent for a moment. Then the man stood up and took a few steps back from the pool.

"Are you going to spread my identity?" ask Sean.

"depends. If you hurt my family, I will spread your identity even if I am considered crazy." replied Farhan.

Farhan frowned as he suddenly got such a question from Sean. The boy took a step back because he felt threatened when Sean swam closer to the edge of the pool.

Until Sean finally reached the pool and sat by the pool. The girl looked back at Farhan. "Just ask if there's anything you want to ask" Sean said.

Farhan was silent for a moment. Despite his doubts, there was actually a lot he wanted to ask. "Lo siren or mermaid?" tanya Farhan made sure to go back.

"I'm siren." replied Sean.

"Those black pearls are your tears?" ask Farhan again.

"Yes, I cried twice in Abi's car and in your car" Sean replied.

"What is your purpose in approaching Abi?"

Sean turned his head towards Farhan, the girl smiling sideways. "I didn't go near him. He found me on the beach and helped me. I like it." replied Sean.

Seeing Sean's smile, Farhan took a few steps back.

"Is there anything else you want to ask?" sean asked looking at Farhan who was retreating in fear.

Farhan shook his head.

"Well, you know for yourself that no one can be trusted. Including you." said Sean as he looked at Farhan's eyes.

When their eyes met, Farhan seemed to be drugged. The guy was completely unable to move his body when he looked at Sean's green eyes.

Sean started singing. Sean's melodious voice pierced Farhan's ears, making the boy even more sedated. But the humming that Sean sang this time was different from the usual humming he sang when he was about to kill his prey. The smile he sang this time only served to dispel one's memories.

"Hmmm~ hmmm~ hmmm~"

Sean's eyes grew even more radiant as he sang the hum. After listening to Sean sing, Farhan would completely forget everything he saw tonight.

When Sean finished singing, Farhan fell unconscious. His eyes that were shining now were no longer shining.

Looking at Farhan who had fallen unconscious. Sean immediately went to the surface. Slowly the tail turns back into legs. The teeth disappeared. His fingernails are back to normal. The scales on his arms and legs also disappeared. Sean is like an ordinary human being. Immediately put back on his clothes that had been released when turned into sirens. After putting on her clothes back the girl immediately approached the unconscious Farhan.

He stared at the man for a while, then placed his palm about 10cm above Farhan's forehead and then moved down to the feet and back up to the forehead. Repeatedly several times. The hot steam that came out of Sean's hands served to dry Farhan's clothes. After a few minutes, Farhan's clothes that were wet with rain water instantly became dry. The girl did the same to herself to have her clothes dry as well. After that he left Farham just like that on the back porch of the house.

"Sorry, I want to take you in. But my powers only function fully when they're in the water" Sean said before leaving Farhan.
