OFFERING CONCUBINES

OFFERING CONCUBINES
EPISODE 150 UNDER THE WISTERIA TREE

Two men were standing under a huge Wisteria tree whose branches were covered with snow. Beneath it was a mound of stone that was Jiu Fei's navel.

His Highness Yan Yue and Zhao Juren.

Their clothes were simple robes and Zhao Juren was still wearing her purple robe after meeting the queen mother in her seclusion room, amongst herself by Her Majesty and her bodyguards.

The coats they wore were both dark and unpatterned.

Zhao Juren told His Majesty, Jiu Fei has died, therefore at the request of his empress His Majesty Yan Yue came to Sunyen temple to pay homage to Jiu Fei who was already lying quietly in her resting place.

They were there without an escort, just the two of them, as if they were not kings and princes. They were also silent to each other without speaking late in their feelings.

"He really has gone." The sound of the murmur was heard softly from His Majesty's lips.

Zhao Juren did not say, her eyes looked at the navel, her body goosebumps as if she had just felt yesterday Jiu Fei's warm body turned cold in her arms. That feeling was inherent to the current sanpai.

"He never really loved me..."

Zhao Juren was aghast at the sentence, does His Majesty know of everything hidden between them?

His Majesty's smile was faint, then his eyes turned to Zhao Juren.

"Did he say something before he left?" Ask Your Majesty, full of curiosity.

Zhao Juren shook her head with a doubtful face.

"He never stops loving you until the end." Zhao Juren sighed while lowering her head. He didn't want His Majesty to catch lightning differently than his eyes, when he said that.

His Majesty chuckled, as if he was laughing at himself.

"Don't comfort me too much, I know it's not the right thing." His laughter stopped a moment later.

"I was too stubborn, trying to hold his heart for me, while I was never sure if he really loved me, because it was our fate that we never met. He keeps others in his heart..."His Majesty revealed his smile, which was more worthy of being called that grin.

"But I don't blame him, really.I'm too cowardly to let go even when he chooses to go I catch his shadow so that he never really leaves me. I was too afraid to be left alone so finally, what could I give her? just a pain." His Majesty spoke sadly.

"If I let him go long ago, he won't end up under this Wisteria tree. Maybe now he's happy with someone, who can take good care of him." A moment of regret passed in the pias of his appearance.

That powerful juren zhao jaw was clenched frozen, his gaze was like freezing water. He was not sure if His Majesty was talking about himself and Jiu Fei, but upon hearing that he seemed to feel an indictment being thrown secretly at him, judging the past of those who had passed.

"Jiu Fei has never loved anyone but His Majesty..." The shrill voice of Zhao Juren tried to make sure to his heart, at least he did not need to feel too deeply guilty about the reality of Jiu Fei's life which had been tormented in a dilemma between the two of them.

"We don't need to remember things that have passed, assume Jiu Fei has chosen her own path and we appreciate it. All my life, I will still respect him as the first person who can accept me sincerely." His Majesty plucked a yellow grass flower that was not far from Jiu Fei's navel. The only strange flower left in this snowy winter.

"I'm not even sure what flowers he likes so much, unless he really likes everything green." Said His Majesty.

Zhao Juren was dumbstruck, she didn't have to say if she knew what kind of flowers Jiu Fei really liked.

Not Peony, not Meihua.he really likes the yellow grass that grows in autumn. The leftover grass from autumn is now in His Majesty's hands.

"Juren, in the winter festival, I would like to officially announce that you are a prince, the son of His Highness Yan Houcun." Suddenly His Majesty stood up straight, his hands linked behind his back.

Zhao Juren looked at the king who once hated his mother so much, he looked for a gap where he could feel disappointed and explained the reason that His Majesty deserved to be disliked.

But, he did not find that, His Majesty is actually a wise and sincere person in his silence, even though he is sometimes considered weak and incompetent.

Zhao Juren knew, Your Highness really, is very intelligent and probably knows more about others than he does. But, Your Majesty never showed it.

"I don't think I should do it." Zhao Juren sighed, he was already used to being an ordinary noble instead of a prince.

"Whatever the reason is in your blood flows the blood of the descendant of Yan. So you shouldn't use the Zhao clan in front of your name." His Majesty said it sincerely. He did not take the heart of the queen mother's actions and related it to Zhao Juren because he knew, Zhao Juren was innocent.

"Zhao is my mother's clan, so I still deserve to have Zhao's name in front of my name, even though maybe my mother has betrayed but I'm sure Your Majesty knows my heart, I don't want to take away what is rightfully His Majesty."

"I know, Juren, you'll never betray me. Many times you risked your life for me even the last time you were willing to welcome a dagger for me. Therefore, as a sister I want you to always be by my side, someday if the heavens allow, I will repay you for all your deeds."

"I didn't do it for a return, it's my duty to protect you."

"Therefore let me formally enthrone you as a prince of Yanzhi. You deserve the right respect."

Zhao Juren was speechless, she did not want to think about continuing to be by His Majesty's side.

Looking at His Majesty's life from afar was enough for him, because if he got too close, he was worried about hurting his own heart, looking at the empress he had always loved in his heart.

"I'm used to my life now, there's no need to make it any more complicated. Being a prince is not important to me, but most importantly I remain loyal to you."

His Majesty lost his mind persuading Zhao Juren, he was really stubborn.

Zhao Juren could not accept that she rejoiced in her coronation as a prince, while her mother was estranged in a temple as a patient.

"I'm even considering resigning from the post of commander-in-chief of Yanzhi's kingdom." Continue with a heavy voice
