OFFERING CONCUBINES

OFFERING CONCUBINES
EXTRAPART 9 RED FLOWERS IN SHENG RIVER

Chu Cu stole a glance at the face of the Jian bodyguard sitting opposite him, the bodyguard seemed almost motionless in place while hugging the sword wrapped in a sheath in a dragon carving that was looking up to the moon.

"Do...do we have a short walk in the market?" Asked Jian's bodyguard with a low volume of voice as if he did not want his sentence to reach the coachman's ear.

"I don't know if I can, Her Majesty the empress asked me to take the medicinal herbs for prince Tian. I'm afraid that if it takes too long, Your Majesty the empress will wait." Answer Chu Cu.

"I just want to take you to a bookstore..." The Jian Guards said half a whisper as if afraid of his voice being heard by the carriage coachman.

"Bookstore?" Chu Cu's eyes were round big, he had been very fond of reading books lately. Ever since he was good at reading and writing, Chu Cu very often spent time reading and writing poetry.

The Jian Guards nodded their heads, their hair falling on their forehead past the black headband that had never been left in their clothes since Chu Cu first saw it.

"But I have to go to Old Lady Xiao's house first." That tone sounded like giving up, he really couldn't resist hearing the word book.

"We will go to Madame Xiao's house first, after which we will visit a bookstore near the market." The Jian Guards nodded their heads, behaving calmly, even though his chest rumbled violently when faced with this plain young girl.

The silent atmosphere, just the sound of the horse's legs and the sighs of both, broke the silence along the way.

The Jian Guards clasped tightly onto his sword sheath, while Chu Cu clasped his coin pouch, he tensed himself.

Love, makes two people can feel nervous when looking at, restless when close together and longing when far apart. That feeling was so strange, it was very strange for Chu Cu who had never known a man. Sometimes he complained to himself as his head became dizzy at night imagining the Jian Guards just staring at him while holding his hand as he guided him to write letter by letter on the paper.

Her thing was, she sometimes wished for more than a grasp, a strange hope according to Chu Cu. But his Jian brother only ever kissed him once when he said he was willing to be his wife first. After that, the Jian Guards never said anything except occasionally having a beautiful dress or a dress she wore was very good.

A pleasantries according to Chu Cu who felt his heart hanging like a clothesline in summer.

...***...

It was almost dusk, when their carriage came out from the grounds of the Xiao family home. The mansion located outside of this palace, was specially built by the king of Yan Yue for the Xiao family, the parents of his empress.

Actually the Xiao Xi Family could have stayed inside the iatana environment considering that they were now the queen family and royal relatives, even had been given the title of nobility by the kingdom. But Lady Xia chose to live outside the palace environment, because she wanted to devote herself as a healer at that age. He established a medicine house and educated several young physicians in medical matters, where they provided free service to the poor.

The Xiao family was greatly respected and cherished for their kindness.

"Sir, we'll stop for a minute to buy a book." The Jian Guards spoke to the coachman who was also one of the guards from the Harem Palace.

The coachman nodded, he knew where the bookshop was meant to be, a bookstore next to the usual teahouse where the two people stopped.

The atmosphere of the afternoon, the autumn sky that was as red as a saga, was squirting strangely on the western horizon like the petals of a decomposed meihua flower. The market that is usually crowded in the afternoon soon becomes quiet, only tea shops, restaurants and lodging are still quite crowded.

The horse carriage stopped in front of the bookshop that had been sealed off deserted.

"The bookstore's closed." Chu Cu raised his eyebrows.

"The shop..."

"The shop opens." The Jian Guards menukas with a flat face.

"But..." Before Chu Cu continued his sentence of rails, Jian's bodyguards had pulled the slender body of the ladyboy down.

Then without further ado he knocked on the tightly shut door of the bookstore.

A tall man with narrow eyes opened the door,

"Oh, Mr. Jian.welcome." The owner of the bookstore opened the door wide, he already knew enough of the handsome bodyguard.

When the two men entered, the atmosphere of the bookstore was quiet but the bright lights illuminated the room, revealing lined wooden lenaries and books neatly arranged there.

"I'm sorry sir, I'll be out for a while, my wife is waiting for dinner. Please ladies and gentlemen take a look." Suddenly the owner of this bookstore bent his body, his smile looked mysterious and happy. The Jian Guards looked unsurprised, while Chu Cu was perplexed.

"What if we're done and we'll go home if you leave?" asked Chu Cu innocently.

"Just leave the money at the table, I'll come back later." Without being able to take it anymore, the shopkeeper turned around and walked out.

"Shelf!"

The wooden door was closed from the outside.

The Jian Guards and Chu Cu looked at each other.

"I saw a book yesterday, you might like it." Jian's bodyguards broke into silence and walked towards a corner where there was a special bookcase for poetry and rhyme.

"Look here." Jian's bodyguard held up a worn book with a rough paper cover but in front of it in the picture of a leafless tree. Looks classic.

The inscription: "Red Flower in the Sheng river"

Chu Cu approached, and picked up the book. As he opened the first sheet, he suddenly felt a sigh at his nape, warm. Chu Cu's head looked back, and he could not avoid a kiss on her lips. Sticky, warm and hunting.
