Overthinking

Adel arrived at his house. He looks lethargic and uninspired. After changing clothes, he just stretched himself while staring at the ceiling of his room until he fell asleep.

The sound of knocking on the door made Adel wake up from his sleep.

"Non Adel, dinner is ready non, sir is waiting for non Adel in the dining room" it turns out that mbok Tiah.

Adel blinked his eyes. He yawned at a glance "Yes mbok, a minute yes"

"Neither non" said mbok Tiah from the outside.

Adel rushed to the bathroom to wash his face. He did not have time to shower because his father was waiting for him.

With Adel in the dining room, the two of them started to eat dinner. No chat until the meal is over.

Hendra put down the spoon "Three more days you're testing son?"

"Yes pa" Adel took a glass of water.

"Oh yes son, the Nao family wants to have dinner together tomorrow. Want to discuss your engagement" Hendra then drank water.

"Tomorrow this pa?" ask Adel.

"Yes, you can't wait to see your brother again" replied Hendra.

There was no response from Adel. The girl went to her room to study.

Adel's book was wide open, but his eyes were focused on the phone next to the book.

So quiet his phone. There's no notification from Nao. There is only a notification from the class group discussing the lesson.

Adel took a long breath. He took the phone and opened the instagram app. His eyes widened as soon as Nao's account made up the story.

Adel opens Nao's story showing a photo of Nao in a cafe. He looked at the details of the photo. Adel's eyes caught two drinks accidentally caught on camera.

"No, she must be the same girl again" Adel then threw his phone. He's pissed. No, rather he was jealous.

Adel then put his head on the book "What you hope Del, you should remember that this is just a match"

Adel held his papa arm as he entered the restaurant. Attention is focused on Adel. Other visitors at the restaurant were fascinated by Adel's beauty.

Parents are busy talking about their children's engagement. Adel and Nao are listening.

Suddenly an awkward atmosphere enveloped Adel. Why does he feel like a stranger? Nao really paid no heed to it. His efforts to dress up pretty did not make Nao see his existence.

Nao stood up "Ma, pa, I go to the toilet first" she said and left the table.

Adel takes the initiative to catch up with Nao. He also wanted to go to the toilet.

Arriving in the toilet, Adel stands outside the men's toilet. It turned out that he wanted to chat with Nao, alone.

It didn't take long, Nao came out of the toilet. He was a little surprised to find Adel standing there.

Adel pulled the end of the shirt that Nao was wearing "Nao, I want to talk to you"

Nao just stared flatly at Adel "Here?"

Adel shook his head "On the rooftop of this restaurant"

"OK" Nao replied briefly.

They headed for the rooftop by taking the elevator. There was no chatter on the way there.

There, Adel rested his body on the balcony.

Nao stood in front of Adel by putting one of his hands in his pocket "What do you want to say?"

"Em, Nao, why have you been acting so differently lately? Is it because of that girl? The girl I saw in the apartment" asked Adel.

There was no response from Nao. The man just looked at Adel who looked hopeful and anxious at the same time.

"I can't answer now" Nao later said.

"Why? Why can't it? So you're right she has something?" asked Adel again but still Nao was silent. He just stared and listened to Adel.

"Clear to me, Nao, the truth. I can't keep thinking about this"

"After meeting him, your attitude towards me was instantly different, you just suddenly changed"

"I know this relationship is just an arranged marriage but somehow I don't like to see you cuddle with her" here Adel's tears start to flow.

Adel pressed down slowly on his chest "Here hurts Nao, I don't like it and I'm jealous because I think I've...."

Adel's words were cut off when Nao suddenly just kissed her. Adel's tears are falling more and more. That gentle kiss made him even more confused and clueless.

Nao took off his kiss "Don't say anything. I'll clear everything up but not now"

Nao kissed Adel again. There was no rejection from Adel. Adel is not silent. He returns a soft kiss from Nao with her who keeps crying.

It is undeniable that Adel misses the moment of his friendship with Nao. Because every time with Nao, there will always be surprises and unexpected events.

Nao's hand turned to Adel's waist. He slowly approached Adel's body and deepened his kiss.

Adel's fingertips are in front of the chest of the Nao plane. Adel's fingers moved slowly in tune with the rhythm of their kiss.

Long enough they did so then both of them took off the kiss.

Nao then rubbed the tears that had soaked Adel's cheeks "Don't cry anymore, you are very beautiful tonight, I like it"

Nao then hugged Adel tightly. A very comfortable hug made Adel feel calm.

Adel is relieved that Nao will explain everything even though it is not today, but Nao's answer and also today's events make Adel forget his worries.
