12 Years old, Elaina goes through dark times, while Minamiya Natsuki is stuck in the time dimension, just after Natsuki arrives in the city of Constantinople, Natsuki reluctantly summons Elaina through the Time Portal, natsuki is trapped in the dimension of time. Elaina now moved away from North Africa and Italy, settling in Gaul, trying to find information and stay out of the war.
In 451 AD, the ambitious King Attila, ruler of the Huns, took advantage of a scandal involving the Western Roman courts to send troops to invade Gaul. The Roman general Aetius, who was in Gaul, decided to form a coalition army with the barbarian kingdom of Gaul to fight the Hun invasion. Upon learning of the invasion, the militia of magister utriusque Flavius Aetius quickly moved his forces from Italy to Gaul. Aetius immediately tried to persuade King Theodoric I, king of the Visigoths, to join him. Allegedly, King Theodoric learned how few troops Aetius had with him and decided that it was wiser to wait, and fight the Huns on his own land, and to fight against the Huns, so Aetius then sought help from the former Praetorian Prefect of Gaul, Avitus. According to tradition, Avitus not only succeeded in persuading King Theodoric to join the Romans, but also a number of other barbarian inhabitants who faltered in Gaul.
The coalition gathered at Arles before moving to meet the Goths at Toulouse, and the army was supplied by Tonantius Ferreolus, who had been preparing for the Huns' invasion for several years. The combined army then marched into Aurelianum, reaching the city on 14 June.
From Aurelianum, Aetius and the coalition pursued Attila, who left Gaul with most of his goals completed. On the night before the main battle, some Franks allied with the Romans met a group of Gepids loyal to Attila the King of the Huns and engaged them in a small battle. 15,000 troops were killed on both sides for this small battle. Attila the Hun king had set tactical delays along his retreat route, to prevent Aetius from capturing him before he arrived at the appropriate battlefield location. The two coalition forces finally met somewhere in the Catalunian Fields around June 20.
The Catalunian plain rises on one side with a sharp slope to a ridge, this geographical feature dominates the battlefield and becomes the center of the battle. The Huns first captured the right side of the ridge, while the Romans captured the left side, with the empty peak between them. Then the Visigoths held the right side, the Romans on the left, with the Sangiban with uncertain allegiance, and his Alans surrounded in the middle. The Huns tried to take the ridge, but were defeated by the Romans under Aetius and the Goths under Thorismund.
King Theodoric I, led his army, but while leading his own men against the enemy Amali Goth, King Theodoric was thrown off his horse and trampled to death by the enemy, then killed by the spear Amali Andag, King Thedoric was killed in the attack without his army knowing.
The Visigoths surpassed the speed of the Alans beside them and fell on Attila's own neighboring Hunnic unit. Attila the Hun king was forced to seek refuge in his own camp, which had been fortified with carts. Romano-Gothic sweeps Hun camp in pursuit. When night fell, Thorismund, son of king Theodoric I, returned to the ranks of friendship, mistakenly entering the camp of Attila the Hun King. Thorismund was wounded in the ensuing melee, and his troops managed to save him. In the darkness also separated Aetius from his own army. Fearful of disaster, Aetius spent the rest of the night with his Gothic allies.
The next day, finding the battlefield with the Huns, they were piled high with bodies and the Huns did not dare to advance. The Goths and Romans met to decide on the next step, knowing that Attila the Hun king lacked supplies and was prevented from approaching, due to the rain of arrows placed within the confines of the Roman camp, which he had no access to, they began to encircle the camp. In this desperate situation, Attila the Hun King remained submissive and hoarded the funeral wood heap from the saddle of the horse, so that if the enemy attacked, determined to throw his enemy into the fire.
While Attila the King of the Huns was besieged in his camp, the Visigoths searched for their lost king and his daughter Thorismund. After a long search, they found the body of King Theodoric I, where the dead lay thickest and took him away with heroic songs before the enemy. After the death of his father, Thorismund wanted to attack the camp of Attila the Hun King, but Aetius persuaded him, Aetius was afraid that the Huns would be completely destroyed, The Visigoths would break their allegiance to the Roman Empire and become a more severe threat. So Aetius persuaded Thorismund to return home immediately and secure the throne for himself, before his brother could, if not, a civil war would ensue among the Visigoths. Thorismund quickly returned to Tolosa and became king without any resistance. Aetius once used the same excuse to lay off his Frankish allies, and collect the spoils of war for himself.
Attila the Hun king eventually withdrew from Italy, due to local starvation and disease in his army. A series of military failures for Aetius, made Emperor Valentinian III angry and enraged. Emperor Valentinian III, deciding to commit the murder of Aetius, failed because Elaina appeared suddenly, directly attacking the murderers of Aetius. Aetius was grateful for his rescue, but Elaina did not intend to save Aetius but to seize the map Aetius was carrying, a map that showed information about the ruins, then Aetius was killed by Elaina by launching fire magic Arrow Attack. Elaina then killed the emperor Valentinian III, seizing the keys to the Treasure chamber. Elaina arrives at the Treasure Room, looking for the Dantalian lump but is nowhere to be found. Eventually Elaina left the Treasure room, moved away and went into hiding.
The Battle of Chalons was a devastating battle that took place involving 2 coalitions consisting of 6 countries, and took many casualties on both sides.
3 years after the Battle of the Great Chalons, Elaina spreads rumors of the death of emperor Valentinian III, that Petronius Maximus seized the throne by assassinating the emperor Valentinian III, which destroyed the alliance of Western Rome with King Geiseric of the Vandals. In 455 AD, after receiving help from Eudoxia, the widow of Valentinian III, Geiseric decided to send an army to invade Italy.
The Vandals landed at Ostia at the mouth of the Tiber, then captured the cities while crashing into the city of Rome. Before approaching the city of Rome, the Vandals tore down all the city's waterways. Upon seeing Vandal approaching, Maximus and his army tried to flee the city, Elaina, hiding in the residence of Pope Leo I, asked the Pope to incite the Roman mob to kill the emperor Maximus. Maximus was found and killed by a Roman mob outside the city, along with his son Palladius. After the Vandals arrived, Pope Leo I requested that Genseric not destroy the ancient city or kill its inhabitants. Genseric agreed, on the idea of Elaina being given shortly after leaving Carthage, and the gates of Rome were opened to Genseric and his people.
While Genseric kept his promise not to burn the city and slaughter its inhabitants, as Elaina would protect the city of Rome to its fullest, Genseric brought some people to be enslaved, and during that time Genseric managed to capture Empress Licinia Eudoxia, Valentinian's widow, and her daughters, Eudocia and Placidia as they tried to escape. Eudoxia and her children were the last of the Roman imperial family. Eudocia later married Huneric.
The Vandal pillage of Rome brought down the Western Roman Empire. By agreement with Elaina and Pope Leo I, a deal was made to explore the ruins of Rome. The ruins of the Temple of Caesar, are the ruins built by Julius Caesar who was also the people of Dantalian when the Great Dantalian Empire stood in the pre-Christian era, namely the birth of Jesus Christ.
Elaina unlocks the magic of the Dimensional Portal, summoning and saving Minamiya Natsuki from a time-dimensional trap. Elaina and Natsuki enter the Ruins of Caesar's Temple, Elaina and Natsuki split up in search of the pieces. Elaina and Natsuki return, and head to the final room, where a statue of Julius Caesar stands. Elaina sees a lever in front of Julius Caesar's statue, and Natsuki asks to pull the lever. Then an open basement room, Elaina and Natsuki enter the basement. Inside the dungeon, there were ferocious monsters alive, the monsters attacked Elaina and Natsuki. Elaina swiftly cast wind element magic, the Spear Whirlpool darted through the attacking monsters. Natsuki used Sword Manipulation magic, attacking the shredding of the monster defense. Over and over again Elaina and Natsuki fight, and arrive at the Portal room where Elaina and Natsuki enter into the Portal and bring into the future.
