Plain Girl Hero of Darkness

Plain Girl Hero of Darkness
Olivia Headed to the Capital

Olivia, who had defeated the Imperial Army on the Canaria road, was now on her way to the capital with a spring in her step or a jubilant jump. The people who passed by him from time to time all gasped in shock.

It was natural for them to react that way, as Olivia was currently covered in blood. Normally, one would definitely ask the girl, what happened when they saw her like that. There were actually quite a few pedestrians who were thinking of asking him.

But their intentions were eventually undone, no one spoke to Olivia. They averted their eyes to avoid trouble, and secretly gave way to Olivia. The reason was simple, they all felt fear when they saw the blood-stained black sword on Olivia's waist.

"How long did I get to the capital ya~." Olivia muttered as she did not realize the gaze of the other pedestrian was looking at her.

Olivia saw the end of the rope on her shoulder which was a large hemp bag containing the heads of the enemies she had previously fought. The bottom of the bag was now turning a deep red as blood filled it.

"Hmm ~. It's not heavy, but it's quite troublesome, making it uncomfortable." It was Olivia who was thinking of throwing away that hemp bag. If he threw it on the grass, the ferocious beasts would definitely happily take over. Without default, Olivia can use the style of Fleet Footed Rush freely and perfectly.

The bag initially made her body so depressed that she could not make too much movement, by throwing away the bag would allow Olivia to reach the capital faster.

But, Olivia immediately brushed it aside and shook her head while muttering. "I can't." Olivia remembers Z's teachings.

[Flashback On]

"Did you remember that long ago, I told you that humans are an aggressive and ruthless race?" Express Z.

"Yes I remember." Olivia's response.

"That's great. An example is the tendency of humans to hunt the heads of their enemies." Continue Z.

"Why? Does a human head feel good?" Questions Polos Olivia.

"Not like that. They just have no other choice, humans won't cannibalize their own kind." Z explained.

"I understand. Then why would they do that?" Olivia asked back.

"One reason was to prove their martial power." Speak Z.

"Smartial power ...? I don't understand." Olivia held her chin.

"Yes ... Simply put, it was a way to show off their strength." Said Z.

"... Humans will hunt heads of their own kind for ridiculous reasons?" Olivia express wonder.

"Fuckily? Aren't they cruel?" Said Z.

"Hmm ~. Is there any other reason?" Olivia asked again.

"If they behead the enemy, their allies will be happy. Depending on the situation, there may be a reward." Z explained.

"Gift? Is that good food? Or maybe a book ...?" Olivia was excited.

"As for that, I'm not too sure..." Z Respond.

[Flashback off]

Olivia monologues, "Humans like to take the heads of their enemies. Z told me that. In that case, being attacked by the Imperial Army earlier was my good luck. I don't like human heads, but people from the Kingdom would definitely be happy if I gave them this head. And then they'll let me join the army."

The elated Olivia clenched her fists with a smile, she started dragging the rope from the bag that was on her shoulder and continued her journey to advance with renewed determination.

After Olivia veered off the Canaria road, she reached a high green plain. There were no traces of humans in the surroundings, and instead there were small creatures peering at him from the bushes. They may be attracted by the scent of blood on Olivia's clothes and sword. However they all escape with one look from Olivia.

"They ran away. I wasn't hungry, or thinking about eating it ..." Olivia's mind is confused.

"Wow! so big!" Olivia thought what she saw was much bigger than the Gate to the Underworld. At the top of the fortress was a huge red flag fluttering in the wind. Olivia looked carefully, and saw a lion of gold and silver propping up silver from both sides.

"Silver lions, gold lions, and silver lions..." Olivia felt the emblem was familiar, and she thought about it.

"Hmm ~... I gotcha! That's the flag of the Kingdom! So that's the fortress of the Royal Army, yeah ... " Satisfied with her memory, Olivia stared at her hemp bag. He could smell the stench from the head he was carrying.

"What should I do. Will this head survive until I reach the capital?" Olivia muttered and set her eyes on the fortress.

Olivia crossed her arms over her stomach while thinking hard. "- Okay, I've decided! Before I go to the capital, I'll give this to the fort as a souvenir. They wouldn't be able to tell if this was the head of the Imperial Warrior if this head were to rot first."

Olivia nodded to herself, and started walking towards the fortress with a feeling of pleasure. The sun was at its peak, and with its speed, it would reach the fortress before dusk.

[Royal Army, Southern War Action Base Camp, Fort Gallia]

After the fall of Fort Kiel in the Battle of the central war, a large amount of money was immediately invested into the expansion of Fort Gallia. It could make a garrison of a hundred thousand soldiers, and was the largest fortress in the Kingdom.

(Garrison is a designation for a group of troops stationed at a location { for example fortress}, and aims to secure it.

Inside the office of the commander of Fort Gallia was Lieutenant General Paul, a man in his 60s. He sat in front of a table made of black wood, and was the commander of the Seventh Army with his 40,000 soldiers.

Paul leaned heavily on his leather chair as he listened to the reports from his aide, Lieutenant Colonel Otto.

Lieutenant Colonel Otto said, "The urgent report came from the capital this morning. His Majesty has decided to send the First Army stationed in the capital to recover Fort Kiel."

Lieutenant General Paul looks depressed, "Cihh ... If Your Majesty made this wise decision one year before, surely the war would have been different. Now that the Empire has surrounded us completely, there is no strategic value in carrying out this movement. And even if they send the military elite of the Kingdom, the First Army, the chances of success are very small ..."

General Paul sighed, took out a cigar from his breast pocket and lit it. Now cigars were a luxury item that even high-ranking officers had a hard time getting. Paul took another one and put it on his desk, but his aide Lieutenant Colonel Otto turned it down with a gentle wave.

His adjutant Paul, Lieutenant Colonel Otto was like General Paul's own friend, and his adjutant had worked with him for 20 years. He was talented, but his personality was too stiff.

Lieutenant Colonel Otto's aide said to General Paul, "The will of His Majesty (His Majesty) is not something that a mortal like me can decipher. By the way, we have a message from His Majesty (His Makesty) to His Holiness Paul (Your Excellency)."

Cttn: (Together His Majesty, the difference (Majesty) is usually a call for people who sit at the peak of power macem King/Emperor. While (Excellency) for officials whose positions are very high so that the position is very good if it is made to fantasize.. Haha.)

"A message, yes ... Let's listen to it." The General Paul.

"Yes sir. ... Lieutenant General Paul will guard Fort Gallia and defend it until the end. End of this message."

"Fhuuhu. Don't look too bitter. If Fort Gallia falls, it will be the end of the Kingdom. His Holiness Otto understood that as well, and had to explain it." Paul said to comfort the visibly upset Colonel Otto.

Emperor Otto cleared his throat and replied, "Hem ... Whatever happens, our job is to defend this fortress. Besides, Your Highness Paul, do you know a man named Samuel in the Imperial Army?"

Emperor Paul replied, "Samuel? Hmm, that sounds familiar... Right, I remember now. He was the one who cut down Major General Lance of the Fifth Army."

Major General Lance, only 27 years old, he is a rising star he is famous for his intelligence and fighting prowess.

But, he was defeated by Samuel and died in the intense Battle of Arschmitz. His body was crucified, and left to rot under Fort Kiel for three days and three nights.
