The Part 28

It's been two days that Elica has been living at Bryan's house. Because his father told him he didn't come home in time because the snow was covering the whole street. A worried Bryan leaves Elica alone at his home and decides to take Elica to his house. And also Bryan's mother was very happy if Elica stayed there.

They already consider Elica like family despite the fact that Bryan and his mother are long-gone neighbors. The thing that makes Elica's heart hurt is when others think of her as family, but the family she has feels like someone else.

Elica hopes that all these problems will end soon, whether the two parents will not be reunited, Elica has sincerely accepted the reality without any more grudges in her heart to others.

"You haven't slept?" Bryan asked as he walked into the room where Elica was staying, because the door was slightly open and the lights were still on. So Bryan went in and found Elica sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Just remember Mommy, I miss her"

"So his whereabouts are unknown?"

"Well, I'm so worried. Alex says he gave Mommy all the facilities after the divorce. But none of them are in use, so I don't know where she lives now" said Elica, sounding sad.

"Bryan." said Elica as the two fell silent

"I think dad only excuses if he's late for home. I don't know why my father changed his mind by cancelling our departure abroad"

"Okay, I'll get the keys to the house first in the room" Bryan's mother said.

Alex stood up from his seat, he saw Evelyn who was already crying because of her. Spontaneous Alex immediately took a handkerchief in his pants pocket and handed it to Evelyn, to wipe her tears.

The man smiled grinningly "i will happily wait for that karma" Alex said, then left the place.

The next day, Elica was being helped by Bryan packing up the things he was going to take with him to leave. The two have devised a plan for Elica's departure to go unnoticed by Alex and his henchmen, who may be currently watching her.

First Bryan would bring Elica's belongings first to Seattle, by sending people. Just the next day, Elica would go quietly to aunt Bryan's house close to the city temporarily to remove the trail. Because if he goes straight there, his whereabouts will quickly be known. Let Alex think if he's really out of the country.

"I'm taking my dad, Bryan." Said Elica while putting her shirt in a big suitcase.

"Yes. Take good care of yourself there, Elica"

"Sure, but I hope you don't see me too often when I'm there"

"You take it easy Elica, I'm not gonna do that. But when you're about to give birth, I promise I'll be there"

"Thank you Bryan"

Finished preparing everything, Bryan also brought Elica's belongings into his car in the garage.

Elica is seen clutching her phone with doubt. Actually, he wanted to call his father to tell him about his departure later. She was afraid that her father would be worried when he came home to see her not exist.

"Hello Daddy.." said Elica as the call connected.

("Elica. What's up, son?")

"When's Daddy coming home?"

"Where is Daddy actually? I know Daddy purposely left and stayed away from me. Aren't we?"

Elica began to sob, she was very sad when her father did not come home. When he left, his father only said to go for a day. But it's the third day and her father hasn't come home yet. Elica feels guilty for her father, as she feels a burden upon returning home.

"Dad, I'm going somewhere until my son is born. So when Daddy came home I wasn't home anymore. That's all I want to tell you"

("Oh my god, where's Elica going? Don't think so, Daddy promised to go with you"

"No Dad. Please let me go this time. I don't want to add any more trouble for you. I promise I'll be all right, Dad. And please find Mommy's whereabouts. Even though you can't be together anymore, I hope Daddy can find Mommy"

The second moment was silent, can Elica hear the sound of breath from the phone. Her tears have flowed. She was crying in silence.

("Well, if that's your decision, baby. Right now Daddy can't impose your will. Go home when you're better, because Daddy will always be home for you son")

"Thank you. I love you Dad" said Elica quietly.

The phone connection was cut off, immediately Elica immediately slumped her body down. It was as if his body was like a very light thread. He sat down and hid his face on both knees. Elica was eager to cry loudly at this moment, given her extremely painful destruction.
