“Marry me,” said David slowly. His tone was full of requests.

Anne's body, which was in the arms of David, stiffened. He did not expect that David was still waiting for him, and lastly David did not show any reaction. “David, we shouldn't be like this,” Anne said as she tried to remove her body from David's arms.

“You turned me down because of Aaron?”

“Because..he's too tired,” Mike replied. “Come finish your breakfast soon, I will drive you to school.”

Sidney dutifully finished her meal as her father instructed. The little girl had for a few days never met Helena at the dinner table, she was beginning to miss her beautiful morning. She used to have breakfast accompanied by Helena and her father Mike, the morning was perfect. After school, after changing his clothes Sidney immediately approached Helena who was struggling in the kitchen to prepare the ingredients she would process for dinner.

“Mommy,” greet Sidney as she climbs onto the pantry bench.

“You changed your clothes? Smart girl,” said Helena sounded very satisfied. He looked at Sidney with an affectionate look.

Sidney's eyes seemed to be watching Helena closely. “I miss you,” he said suddenly.

“Merinduced me?” ask Helena. He seemed confused by what Sidney was saying.

“I missed breakfast with you,” replied Sidney.

Sidney's words hit Helena's heart, right on target. Helena stopped her movement washing vegetables under the water from the sink. He turned off the water faucet then wiped his wet palm. Since becoming Mike's bride, she had forgotten about Sidney every morning because every night her husband tortured her until she lost. Mike who he thought was a good man turned out to be a predator who was happy to make his prey limp so helpless and then eat it greedily until it was not venomous.

“Darling, I'm sorry. I promise from tomorrow we will have breakfast together.” Helena's approaching Sidney. Cupping Sidney's cheek with both palms.
