The Promise that was kept

"Hows it? Aman?" ask Josh. He poked his head to the right and left of the road.

Some guards nodded their heads. "Sir, Boss!"

Josh nodded. "Okay, escort us!" Josh extended his hand to Mia. "Come,"

Mia welcomed the helping hand and smiled. "Come on!"

Just as they were walking out of the gate, a shriek of someone's voice sounded. "Wait on! Waitaminute! I'm coming!"

"Finn? He said you weren't coming" asked Josh.

"Ah, I changed my mind. Go, move! Mia, come!" Finn took over Mia from Josh.

Lately, Josh has always asked Finn for permission to take Mia for a walk or just talk.

In addition, Josh also prefers to be alone and locked himself in his room. It was only Mia that he allowed to go inside. It's all been since her meeting with Beth.

Like this morning, she was already ready in her room to wait for Mia.

"Morning, Josh," said Mia..

"Hi, are you ready?" ask Josh.

Mia nodded small. "Come, let's walk now. Finn hasn't woken up yet, he'll go berserk if he finds out I'm walking with you, hihihi," Mia said giggling.

Josh smiled. "OK, come!"

The night before Josh had invited Mia to run the next morning. His heart was happy when Mia agreed to his invitation.

Early in the morning he had woken up before everyone in the house even opened their eyes. He devised a plan for where he would go, what he would bring or buy, and what he would talk to Mia later.

As soon as he saw you who appeared before him, he had already forgotten his plan and he let everything just flow in that morning.

"We're gonna walk a little bit, you're not tired, are you?" ask Josh.

Mia shakes. "No. I'm happy to take a walk with you. Vin never wanted to walk this far, but with you, I could take you anywhere,"

Josh ruffled Mia's hair so violently that some well-woven hair just came out.

"We're sitting in the garden over there, how about it?" ask Josh.

Mia nodded. Not only the two of them who ran at that time, some bodyguards escort them in the front and at the back complete with firearms.

"Thank you, Mia because you've been present in my life. Even though I can't have you but I'm happy that I can know you" Josh said suddenly.

"Why, anyway, do you always say goodbye like that? You promised me not to talk like that anymore, because the impression I get from your sentence is that you're going far away and we won't be able to meet again" said Mia a little annoyed. There was a pain in his chest as Josh said that sentence.

Josh breathed out his breath. "We'll never know how old a person is, Mia. As long as I can still breathe and see you, I will say that every day even until you are bored and fed up. Ahaha!"

"Ah, Josh Fool! If you're gonna die or go far, then what do I do, Josh?" ask Mia. His eyes locked onto the tanned netra of the man beside him.

"I'll never really walk away from you. You don't have to worry about that, Mia. Even if I have to leave and we will never be able to meet again, rest assured that I will stay here. I'll always be with you" Josh said, pointing at Mia's chest.

Mia poked her lips. "But if you're really gone, I can't cry, I can't laugh, I can't hold your warm hands, and I can't play anymore with you, Josh. So please don't go away and never leave me alone,"

"Can I hold you?" ask Josh.

Mia nodded. "Can we be friends, right?"

Josh put Mia in his arms. He clenched tightly to the girl he was currently with. For some reason, he wished for time to stop so that he would not have to let go of the embrace forever. There is a sudden fear that just comes in just like that in Josh and that fear is very difficult to explain or express to anyone.

"If I'm allowed to, I want to hold you forever. I want to always be by your side even if you're not mine but at least I can see your smile every day or even I'll be happy to hear your cry" said Josh. "I don't know what this feeling is, but I'm scared. I'm afraid something bad is going to happen and I'm going to lose you forever,"

Mia shook her head strongly. "No, Josh. You will never lose me and no one can take you from my side. We have to stay together no matter what the circumstances. I see, will you promise me? You have to keep that promise, Josh!"

Mia nodded and the girl linked her fingers to Josh's fingers.

Just as they were entering the gates of Finn's house, several well-built men surrounded Finn's house. Suddenly, Josh immediately ran inside and he asked the entire bodyguard to escort Mia while he went inside without any escort.

"Josh!" Mia screamed and ran with him.

However, he heard an unfamiliar voice that was screaming in panic. "Mia! Stay where you are! Whatever you hear or whatever happens don't you ever step a foot inside! I beg you,"

"Oh wow! Mia, you're being protected by a lot of men, right? I'm jealous" Beth's scornful voice sounded spoiled. He carried a short-barreled firearm and he brandished the rifle into the air.

As soon as Beth approaches, Josh asks the bodyguards to make a line to protect Mia. "Mia Fortress! Don't let there be any gaps!"

The sound of the weapon's cocking sounded terrifying in Mia's ears, as she was surrounded by a line of bodyguards who were all brandishing weapons in all directions. "Finn, what's going on?"

"You're safe, Mia. You're secure. Don't worry, I'll keep my promise to always protect you," Josh answers Mia's question because he sees Finn will not be able to answer her question when his hand is bent by two bodyguards and his mouth is gagged with a handkerchief.

"Parker, what do you want?" josh asked, slowly approaching Beth.

"He's dead!" beth replied pointing to Mia who was surrounded by a line of bodyguards.

Josh grunting. "He'll never die, Parker. He's got me and he's got Finn, and even I can confirm that he's very long-lived,"

Beth laughed wildly. "You threatening me? It's all because of you, too, Winston! You set me up and you made everything fall apart!"

"No lie is perfectly closed, Parker. Everything will be revealed in time. Sooner or later" Josh replied. His voice sounded very calm. "Come on Parker, just give up. We can live in peace and we can be good friends,"

Beth shook her head. "Hoho, no! Until whenever I won't give up and until whenever I don't want to be good friends with you guys!"

"Then, what's your purpose here?" ask Josh again.

Beth pointed her gun at her guard line and pulled the trigger. The sound of an explosion and the sound of a ban were immediately heard accompanied by blood flowing from one of the guards who had fallen due to Beth's gunfire.

"No! Finn's! Are you all right? Josh!" peekkik Mia's. The girl's body trembled in fear as well as her voice.

"Don't move, Mia! Stay where you are!" tell Josh.

The guard line was closing the line. However, a series of bullets hit the guards. One by one they fell down, and soon their blood flowed and made rivers.

"I can do what I want, Winston! My only goal is one, hand over the girl and there will be no more blood" Beth said coldly.

A man in a black cowboy hat descended from the ceiling. The gun leads right to Mia. Josh shook his head. "Don't Mia, Parker! Not her! You can ask for everything but please don't!"

However, Beth just smiled vilely and she gestured to the cowboy man.

The sound of the explosion is heard again, instead of stepping aside, Josh actually threw himself against the bullet for Mia. Not just one shot, but 2 to 3 shots after hitting his body.

"Yah! Josh!" peekkik Mia's.

In a dying condition, Josh picked up one of the dead bodyguard's rifles and fired a bullet at the cowboy-hated man so many times that he fell down and fell out with blood flowing from his body.

Beth yells, she tries to shoot Mia and Josh, but again, Josh still has time to knock Beth out, until the woman falls.

Finn's house is now filled with fresh blood flowing everywhere and from all directions and the sobbing sound of Mia. The servants who had been pulled into hiding immediately ran over to help Finn untie him.

"Don't die, Josh! You said you wouldn't leave me, '" cried Mia. Her tears trickled down Josh's cheek that was on his lap.

"I've kept my promise to protect you, Mia and now I'll be here. I will never leave you. Be happy, Mia and don't forget me. I love you," stammered, Josh tried to finish his sentence before he closed both eyes forever.

"Yah! Yosher! JOSSSHHHHH!"
