Pursuing the Love of my Maid

Pursuing the Love of my Maid
10. Abandoned Mattress

Abhimana spent the night thinking only of Amanda, the son of the maid who is now also her maid. Before the dawn adhan reverberated Abimana had devised various plans to find out one fact about the fetus who Amanda was born. From the day that her fingers touched her distended stomach safely and felt the movement from within her heart always trembled and seemed to bond with the fetus.

Even without Abimana noticing she began to have a handful of greedy sense in which she did not want the fetus to belong to another man. But one side of his heart the other wanted to reject the reality. Strongly rejecting one fact that only he desecrated Amanda on that dark night.

"Ah I can go crazy if it's been like this for a few nights since I held her stomach I can't sleep like this. Just by touching his stomach I became so agitated. I should have been happy when Amanda told me that she was her son with her boyfriend. But why would I try so hard to prove that what you're safe to say is just a lie?"

Abi mana spoke alone while buttoning his shirt one by one. He became restless erratically even he himself did not know where his current thoughts were headed. His world was like pivoting to Amanda.

That morning she accidentally woke up first before it was safe and she was even waiting at the kitchen table before Amanda came out. Sure enough the woman he was waiting for came out wearing only the shabby clothes and hair he had tied up originally. Before doing all her activities Amanda was used to it as she would boil water then leave it to pray and she would come back again to brew sweet tea in the morning.

How surprised Amanda when she saw the figure of her employer was sitting with a henchman waiting for her without saying much. Abi mana at that time actually looks very similar to the figure of a ghost who does not mouth. She had no voice at all and only her eye movements were always following Amanda.

"Why he's suddenly here waiting for me like this I suspect he's got a bad plan" Amanda thought as she performed her usual activities.

But behind all that calmness Amanda also has anxiety. He was afraid that Abimana would return to do what he did while drunk. Just in case Amanda secretly carries a small knife in her negligent pocket.

Amanda, who did not want to be seen talking a lot with her employer, just locked her mouth and went from the kitchen and performed her morning prayers. That's when Abimana got out of her seat and checked Amanda's room. Somehow the man with a height of 180 cm was very curious about the atmosphere of Amanda's room.

How surprised he was when he went into the room and found the mattress he bought was still neatly hidden in the cardboard. Apparently Amanda still does not use the mattress and prefers to use a thin floor carpet spread a towel to sleep. Abimana also noticed a small fan that looked tired giving cold air in the room.

I don't know why when he noticed it all his heart felt pity. There is a strange feeling that cannot be expressed with words of wanting to give and a sense of wanting to protect it is back just present. Yes then quickly out of the room so that it is safe and does not catch him there.

"I've bought the mattress expensive, made from latex, thin indeed. But the quality is good and very durable. But he didn't use it at all and that means since that night he's still sleeping on the floor like he did? Oho! This is very hard to believe" Abimana pressed with a stifled voice and an angry feeling because her gift seemed not appreciated at all.

"What do you want to eat, sir?" Amanda asked suddenly who had just come out of the small musala that was in one corner near the dirty kitchen.

"Well! Couldn't you just come out and not suddenly ask me like that? Just ngagetin!" Bursting Abi mana with eyes that almost out of place he was so surprised by the existence of Amanda who came suddenly.

Amanda did not give an over-response she just kept quiet and put on a flat facial expression. Abi Mana somehow suddenly felt awkward. He cleared his throat several times to neutralize his voice that had just been shocked.

"Ehem! I want breakfast chicken porridge," replied Abi Mana and it was immediately taken by Amanda without much further ado.

Amanda put her hand in front of Abimana. "Where's the money?"

"What money?" Ask Abi mana with a puzzled facial expression.

"Yes money he said he wanted breakfast with chicken porridge give me the father's money and I will buy chicken porridge on the streets there to make chicken porridge it takes a very long time and I think until 10:00 porridge chicken is not yet ripe also because it happened this morning we ...."

Not finished Amanda spoke Abi who heard the babbling Amanda was so long as to put her index finger on Amanda's lips and said, "Hust!"

"Much of a talk!" Abimana immediately gave Amanda a piece of money rp50,000.

That morning Abimana managed to eat chicken porridge alone at the dinner table and Amanda was busy with her own business. At a time when Abi was not finished with his morning breakfast Amanda was already heard coming out through the back door and turning on his motorcycle. The girl left without saying goodbye to the master.

Abi who saw Amanda's departure through the side of the TV that was monitored directly to the monitor in his room immediately grabbed the key and he followed Amanda. Without realising Abimana has started to be hypnotized with everything that is safe and do. Unknowingly, she always wanted to be around Amanda even though Amanda did not spread charm.

"Eh why did I get to be in front of the college maid? I'm so underworked," murmured Abimana commenting on his own behavior that has become strange lately.

----***----

"Why Manda, you can't afford another semester?" Ask one of Amanda's friends named Sasa.

"Yes I can't pay the semester money like I'm going to take a sabbatical and I want to work hard to mourn again so I can continue college again" Amanda replied with a sad face.

"Nothing Manda, though, delay first I also like this year will be so I want to find work deh at least 1 year this I take leave and have to wait to be able to continue college next year. You see, ever since my father had a financial stroke our family became slumped," said Lina whose fate was not much different safely and equally experiencing economic difficulties.

Which Abi I was from earlier he was sitting quietly behind the tree where Amanda was talking and listening to all the triad chatter. Again his heart felt pity, he was pinched on one side of his heart.

"It is fitting that he could not buy his salary mattress only under UMR standards and he had to finance his mother and sister then to go to college he would definitely be short of money coupled with his condition pregnant and in need of accountability. If the facts about my wife had been exposed and the media had known it then I would have divorced her and if this child she bore was really my son then I would have been fully responsible," abi's heart said which after several nights of torment and could not close his eyes.
