Re: Turning

Re: Turning
Encounter

Unconsciously, a month passed. Like a cloud passing through a giant blue canvas above. Slowly before disappearing for sure.

Shinnichi stood in front of the Princess' room.

It had been more than two weeks since he last spoke to her. It was just a greeting.

He was nervous. Especially today. The day where the messenger of the Demon race came.

He doesn't know what's going to happen. It may be a negotiation, espionage, or even a declaration of war. However, right now in his mind there was only one; accompanied Fiona, no matter what.

Shinnichi took a deep breath. He knocked on the big door.

"Lake in."

A familiar voice sounded inside. He hadn't heard it in a long time. Feels soothing.

Shinnichi opened the door. Go inside and close the door.

Inside, he could see the figure of the Princess. Look out the window. Behind him.

Wearing a blue dress with a fluffy skirt. His pale white skin looked shiny in the sun. Its blue mane decorated with tiara decomposes beautifully. Like a cotton candy covered with jewels.

Shinnichi. In the face of the beauty of a painting, he could not move.

Sensing something, Fiona turned her body. Look at the person entering his room. The black-haired young man named Kurobane Shinnichi.

Iris azure Fiona round. He approached Shinnichi.

"—!?"

Fiona hugs Shinnichi. Embrace it without the slightest doubt.

"Fiona-sama?!" shinnichi. Surprised by this sudden reception. "A-what's up?"

Fiona said nothing. Instead, he tightened his embrace. Only his breathing can Shinnichi hear.

Her temperature was cold, as usual. A soft cold. Familiar, calming.

Shinnichi closed his eyes. He smiled a little. Return the Princess's embrace.

He felt relieved.

Victoria is full of frenzies. The streets are filled with merchants. Sell their things to those who pass by.

They are taking advantage of what is.

Today was the day that the envoys from Grimer came to the Capital. Whether driven by anger, hatred, or even curiosity, people flocked to the city.

The explosion of visitors is certainly seen as a golden opportunity. Rooms in full-fledged inns, markets crowded with shoppers, and streets full of travelers. Each has its own thoughts.

However, they had one thing in common; they were interested in the Demon race.

Government decisions can affect their lives. In order to get the answer they want, Man prays to the Goddess.

At noon, the city bell rang. It's coming from every corner of the city. Tell the inhabitants.

The devil has come.

The gate on the North side of the city is open. Gave way to a black horse carriage. The inside was covered with red curtains. The exterior is decorated by gold ornaments and gems. The golden wheel rotated smoothly.

At the door was a symbol. A four-headed golden hydra holding a black shield symbolizes a white balance.

Not in accordance with the luxury train, the towing animal looks taken from someone's worst nightmare. Like an animal from hell, a pair of Skeleton Horses pulled the carriage.

Blue smoke comes out of the eye socket. Like the flames their souls were forced to ignite and slowly began to extinguish.

Their jaws are open and closed. Trying to draw breath from the grave.

On their bodies, there was no flesh sticking together, only pale pink-colored joints were left. Their bones rattled with each step. It was as if their legs could be shattered at any moment.

Along the way, people stared at the horse carriage with fear. Look out of the window or behind the door. No one dared to come closer.

For ordinary people who had never seen a monster, the sight provoked terror in the heart. To adventurers, they felt an evil aura, like the mount of death itself.

The hustle and bustle of the city turned into a gripping silence.

Women hold their breath. Men ventured to them. Parents cover their child's eyes.

No matter the reaction of the people, they kept walking forward. Pulling a horse carriage. Moving to the center of the capital. The Ivory Palace.

Shinnichi walked behind the Princess. Adjusting his steps so he doesn't pass through. A servant should always be behind his master.

They had already heard the message from the South gate; the Devil had arrived. Now they were called to the palace gate. The princess's job is to welcome them.

Of course he's not alone. In addition to Shinnichi, several companies of troops were already on standby around. In addition to showing strength, they also served to maintain the security of the palace.

What they were facing was the Devil race. Who knows if they have bad intentions.

Fiona and Shinnichi walked through the knight line. Standing motionless like a statue. Fiona ignored him and walked down the stairs. Stop at the last step.

Overlooking the park which doubles as a stopping place for royal guests. The peaceful chirping of birds did not match the tense atmosphere there.

This was the first time the kingdom had come into contact with a Devil other than on the battlefield. This tense situation is inevitable.

"Kurobane-s." Fiona called Shinnichi. Looking at him with a worried expression.

"Just calm down, Fiona-sama." Shinnichi smiles. Calm the Princess and herself. "I'm here."

Fiona slowly smiled. He nodded steadily. The doubt in his heart was gone.

Fiona stared at the tightly closed palace gate. The high walls also covered his vision from the outside world. It was as if it was locking him inside.

For the 15 years she lived, Fiona had only been out of the palace three times. All to attend the wedding of his three sisters. So for her, when the gate opened, it was a special time for Fiona.

However, this was not the time to think of such a thing.

"The Devil has come!"

The call came from above the wall. Makes everyone there tense.

The gate made a loud noise. Inside the wall, dozens of people turned a large valve. Pulling the large chain, opening the gate bit by bit.

Little by little those inside could see the Demon race horse carriage. Their eyes fell on the animal in front of the carriage.

Everyone swallowed. Trying to gather their courage. In the presence of that monstrous beast, even knights, their legs felt weak.

The bone starts to sound. Slowly approached. Like death that follows everyone.

Fiona tried to hold back her fear. He must be strong. Shinnichi was by his side.

Shinnichi. Resisting his desire to run from that place, he planted his legs that started shaking. His experiences in his home world, various kinds of games, anime and novels, did not prepare him for the real thing.

Although there was no coachman, the horse carriage stopped in front of Fiona. Like knowing the right time and place.

The horse carriage door opened slowly. Showing the red interior. The three figures who occupied it came out.

The first was a tall woman. His silver-blue mane decomposed freely up to his waist. Her body was covered in a black dress. Show off her cleavage and smooth legs. Gives a sensual adult aura.

The second was a small girl of gentle expression. Her bob mane has the same color as Shinnichi and Yonaka; dark black. Her black gothic clothes made the girl look like a porcelain doll.

Behind them, a young man stood firm. Her white hair was in contrast to her wheat skin. Wearing a black-and-white tunic, a pair of gold-red gauntlets were attached in his hand.

At a glance, one will not see any peculiarities or differences between them and ordinary humans. However, a glance towards their head made a huge difference.

A pair of horns on their heads. Each has a different shape.

The young man had two short horns that resembled sheep. The girl has a pair of antelope-like long horns. The woman had even two pairs of dragon horns on her head and a pair of wings on her back.

No doubt, they are demons.

"°≈~•≈~•ʊ? `¶≈∞~•"

"~•~*~? Ω≈~•~≠°"

"¶_~≠≈•..."

"~°|X≈"

The three of them spoke a language that was foreign to humans. Almost no one knows their conversation. And it makes the atmosphere more tense.

Except for a young man behind the princess. Shinnichi could hardly believe his ears. It seemed like his [Language Comprehension] skill was starting to work. He could even understand every word.

What kind of conversation is this?

Before being able to ask a question, the demonic woman advanced forward. Smiling softly, he stood in front of the Princess.

"Greetings, O Man." The woman greeted in human language. "Himself this one is Fusena Madoya Yuwa, the representative of the Demon race."

"Ah." Fiona. She held her dress and bowed. "I'm Fiona Throst Victoria Ainsworth. Fourth daughter of King Albert Throst Victoria Ainsworth III of Victoria. I served as regent for the Victorian kingdom."

"Ah, Princess of the kingdom." Fusena nodded. "I'm sorry for this self-disrespect. Human language is hard to learn."

"What's wrong, Fusena-dono. I understand." Fiona swapping nodded. Trying to look decent as a princess and not looking scared. "Then, the two people behind you?"

"Ah, right. They're both with me." Fusena looked back. "That's our best warstr, Endal Baskar."

Fiona and Shinnichi turned towards the young man, Endal. He smiled widely and bowed his body respectfully.

"And that girl is our Magos, Haira Narasma Kayshil." Fusena introduced the girl Lolita beside him. He lowered his head in embarrassment as he nodded faintly towards Fiona.

Fiona nodded back. Understand that the three are messengers of demonic-power. However, he did not know the two words of Fusena's words.

"Warstr? The magos? What'sthat?"

"Ah, that means fighter and witch, Fiona-sama." Shinnichi quickly informed the Princess. He got a nod and a short thank you from him.

"Oh?" Fusena looked at Shinnichi in awe. "Does this young man have any knowledge of our language?

"Ah, no. He has the ability to understand multiple languages." Fiona explained.

"Ah, [Language Comprehension]. Fascinating." He leaned his body towards Shinnichi. He made the young man take a few steps back.

"F-Fusena-yu, in schwareze...." Haira reminded Fusena not to scare her.

"Ah, fa'trn invus. Tacti insch." Fusena touched his chest and apologized. He realized he was being disrespectful.

"T-nothing." Shinnichi swapped down.

Fiona turned her head towards Shinnichi and Fusena alternately. Not understanding how Shinnichi's abilities work.

"Your partner is attractive, Mr. Princess." Fusena turned to look at Fiona. "What's his name?"

"-!? I-I am not the Pu— couple"

"Thank you very much. His name is Kurobane Shinnichi." Wasting no time, Fiona replied.

"Fiona-sama!?"

"Ahem, we've been lingering here. You all must be tired. What if I take you to your room?" Fiona proposed her opinion.

"Ah, of course." Fusena nodded, smiling. "Ctrestum morvi, Princess."

Fiona nodded, understanding that it meant thank you. Turning his body gracefully, he walked past Shinnichi. The young man did not understand what the princess was thinking.

While organizing his thoughts, Shinnichi walks after Fiona. As usual, behind him.

Before they left, Haira flicked her finger. The horse carriage and Skeleton Horse vanished into smoke before gathering into a small ball on top of his hand. He put the ball in his necklace. Floating along with some other similar balls.

Thinking that the other monsters present in the balls could be released at any time made the knights who saw them come back terrified.

"If you need something, please ring the bell in the room. Someone will come as soon as possible."

"Ctrestum morvi, Princess. This one self will put that in mind." Fusena looked down small again. "Shinnichi-ma, Fiona-denyu, thank you."

Back saying thank you, Fusena went inside her room. Closing the door slowly.

After delivering the three Devils to their room, Fiona felt her legs give up. Before falling, Shinnichi was ready. She held her daughter.

"Be careful, Fiona-sama."

"Ah, thank you, Kurobane-sama. I just feel a little dizzy." Fiona smiled slightly. He re-positioned himself again, touching his throbbing head. "My entire life, I never imagined meeting the Devil race."

"Is that so? Don't push yourself too hard." Shinnichi keeps watch so Fiona doesn't fall. "Let's take a break for a while."

Fiona nodded. Agreeing to Shinnichi's suggestion.

"Your Majesty, the Devil has come to the palace."

The estoc reported the arrival of the royal guest to the King.

"Good." Albert nodded syahdu. "Tell the Heroes. Tonight, we'll eat with them."

"Understand, Your Majesty."

Albert waved his hand. Tell the estoc to leave. Respectfully bowed, Estoc resigned.

Albert raised his head up. Staring at the ceiling filled with renaissance paintings. In the middle, there was a beautiful woman with black hair. A golden halo floated on his crown. The Goddess's call was suitable for him.

Albert's flat face now formed a smile. "Maha...." Albert started to chuckle. Slowly turned into laughter. "Haha."

"AHAHA! IN A MOMENT, AQRINA-SAMA! YOUR ARRIVAL WILL BE WELCOMED WITH GREAT JOY!"

Sounding like a madman, his laughter echoed in the room.
