Re: Turning

Re: Turning
The Uncertainty

Chaos enveloped Zelfria.

Bloody conflicts loomed in the skies of the world. Split land. Eat the soul and swallow the peace.

"The Time of Chaos" is the name for that dark era of 1,000 years of war, famine, disease, and death. Suffering gripped Zelfria.

The pantheon of Gods could only pay attention. Not being able to interfere in mortal affairs made them despair. Can't do anything, they sent an envoy.

Envoy to improve the world. To bring peace. To keep Zelfria safe.

Some succeeded. Some failed. Some even refused. But God kept trying.

With hard work, with great effort, Zelfria was finally liberated. The world is entering an era of peace. Peace stands on the sea of blood.

However, chaos still lurks in the shadows. Waiting for the right time to pounce back. The time is right to spread his control over the world.

The darkness began to whisper. And soon, chaos will again descend upon the land of Zelfria. Chaos beyond anything the world has ever seen.

At that time, I hope the world has a savior. The ultimate savior who can lift the world from the abyss of darkness.

His name will be heard all over the world. His name will be in the book of the world. His name will be spoken in every prayer.

Savin Avale Clarity. Savin Avale Veil. Savin Avalos Arteus. Savin Avalo Shin ar in Zelfria. Savin Avalo and Avale quetie.

Emen edraith Foun. Emen edraith Aqrina.

"Guilichi!"

Izumi's voice echoed in the throne room. Make everyone look back. Their gaze was fixed on a blue-haired girl and a black-haired youth.

"Gun-shinnichi!"

Realizing who the young man was, Yonaka and Izumi ran towards their friend. Yonaka held Shinnichi's hand, checking the young man's face.

"You all right? No injuries or anything like that, right?"

"Yonaka-chan, I'm fine." Shinnichi releases Yonaka's hand. Convince the girl.

Hearing that, Yonaka heaved a sigh of relief. Izumi instantly ruffled Shinnichi's hair. A big smile on his face.

"Fuck you, Shinnichi. Don't worry us."

"Sorry, sorry." Shinnichi held Izumi's hand. Stopped him from feeling a little embarrassed.

"... Do you know what happened?" Izumi asked. His tone sounds serious.

Shinnichi nodded. "I've been told by Fiona-hime."

"Hime?" Yonaka shakes his head, confused. Rarely did he hear that word. A word used only to summon a Princess.

Izumi and Yonaka turned their heads towards the blue-cloaked girl who was standing quietly beside Shinnichi. The girl smiled towards them. Not only Izumi, Yonaka was amazed by that smile. From his smile alone, he was indeed worthy to be called Princess.

"Ah, Daughter. Are you feeling better?" The King's voice interrupted them.

"Your Majesty."

Fiona looked down at King Albert. He walked to it. Izumi, Yonaka, and Shinnichi followed behind him.

The young man's eyes moved to and fro. Admire the beauty of the throne room. From one corner to the other, no part escaped his sight.

Feeling quite close, the Princess held onto her dress then bowed gracefully. "Thank you for your concern, Father. Those words are enough to make my heart happy."

Hearing Fiona's words, the King's majesty gave a faint smile. He looked at the youngest daughter. Of the three sisters, only Fiona has not left the kingdom. His three elder sisters had already left him, betrothed by the prince and other royal nobles.

Leaving sentimental thoughts in his heart, Albert turned his head towards Shinnichi. There was no particular impression like the other Heroes.

Izumi gave off an aura of a tough and hard warrior. Yonaka has sharp eyes. Erina has a softness of her own. For Samejima, just glancing at him one could feel something great from him.

Then, for Shinnichi? The King of — someone who can boast in understanding the character of people — feel nothing. The impression he gets from it is "ordinary". Nothing special about him. It was like thousands of miles on the river.

Usually, he feels strange. Like something's wrong. Can a Hero have such a trait?

Finding himself under attention, Shinnichi shrinks. Especially when remembering that the white-bearded man who was observing him on the throne was the King of Victoria Kingdom, his stomach suddenly felt pain.

Izumi whispered in Shinnichi's ear. "We just introduced ourselves, you too."

Before Shinnichi came in, they did introduce themselves. It is not good if the kingdom that calls does not know the names of its heroes. Obviously, they already explained that their surnames and their real names were reversed.

Hearing that, he looked to the side. Izumi and Yonaka nodded. He looked in the opposite direction; he immediately regretted it. Samejima looked at him sharply.

Recalling the Anime and fantasy genre films he often watched, Shinnichi stepped forward — parallel to Fiona. He knelt down awkwardly. It looks strange even.

"S-I, Kurobane Shinnichi, greet your Majesty humbly!" With a quivering voice, Shinnichi introduced himself unusually.

Izumi wanted to pat her own forehead. Yonaka just smiled bitterly. Samejima looked at him low. Erina was still staring down.

However, finding the funny sight, Fiona almost let go of a small laugh. However, laughing before the King was inappropriate. He kept the incident in his heart.

The King, on the contrary, still looks serious. He nodded. "Greetings, Hero Shinnichi. I am the King of Victoria. Albert Throst Victoria Ainsworth III."

He looked at Shinnichi and Fiona alternately. "With the two of you coming together, I assume you already understand the current situation?"

"A-ah, yes." Shinnichi nodded. "The Princess explained it."

"Good then."

The king smiled again. Glad you don't have to waste any more time.

"As expected of my daughter" Albert said.

"You're too kind, Your Majesty." Fiona bowed again. Flattered. "I just do what needs to be done."

Shinnichi doesn't know what else to say. He stood up and returned to Izumi's side. The red-haired youth held Shinnichi's shoulder. Like calming.

Shinnichi tilted his head. Looks confused. It was as if there was a question mark above his head.

"Now, since the entire Hero has gathered, we can move on to the most important thing...." Albert paused his words. "Your power."

"Indeed, the power of Heroes is the greatest and greatest power in this world" Albert explained. "However, what good is great power if it is unknown?"

The Heroes understood. What the king said was the truth. Especially before their arrival in this world, the Goddess had already given power to them.

Yonaka and Izumi turned towards Shinnichi. The worried expressions were clearly painted on their faces. They know that no light enters Shinnichi's chest like the others.

They hope that Shinnichi does not experience anything bad.

Shinnichi, unaware of the concerns of his two friends, still looked at the King nervously. A little enthusiasm could be seen on his face.

"Knight! Take the heroes to the training field." The King decreed.

After hearing a few words of advice from the King, the Heroes left the room. More precisely, they were led outside by a Knight.

✾✾✾✾

After walking for a while and passing through several rooms, hallways, and stairs, they reached the castle grounds. Different from where they had come, the courtyard was filled with several hundred warriors. Each is practicing.

Some were fighting swords, shooting and marching. However, only one caught their attention. A group of soldiers holding sticks.

"O Salamander, we have the power from you —"

While chanting the incantation, the staff of a soldier began to emit fire. A fireball to be precise.

"— Fare! [Fireball]!"

Following the jolt of his stick, the fireball flew away. Quickly, hit the wooden dummy 20 meters away from the shooter.

The fire swallowed the wooden puppet. Followed by a loud explosion. Only charcoal and ash were reminders of the wooden doll.

The Heroes could only watch in amazement. Can't say a word.

The magic! Shinnichi exclaimed inwardly.

As an Otaku — especially in fantasy field — he has some more knowledge. Although he was not sure everything was happening in this world. However, there was one thing he had already confirmed.

Magic is real! The princess did not lie!

Not that he doubted the Princess, but seeing someone else use it was enough to make him confident.

While Shinnichi shuddered happily, the other Heroes still felt astonished. They did not expect magical things like magic to actually exist in the world. Given that they met the Goddess, something like this could actually be considered trivial.

"All of you must be the Heroes we're talking about." A baraton voice greeted the ears of the five young men.

Suddenly, they looked.

A man walked up to them. The sound of iron was heard every time he moved. The sunlight reflected off his silver armor. A little blinding to the eyes.

His face showed how much experience he had on the battlefield. Serious and quiet; like a sharp knife because it is always used.

His body showed his physical superiority over ordinary people. Despite wearing armor, one could feel the bulge of his muscles.

"Greetings, my name is Gregory Reclius Isaac. Great General of the Kingdom of Victoria —" Touching his chest, Gregory lowered his head briefly. " — However, you can call me Gregory."

Hearing the General's introduction, the Heroes introduced themselves as well. Izumi also told the big man that their names were reversed.

"Interesting."

Gregory held his chin. His short beard was neatly shaved, matching his hairstyle; flap. Anyone can tell that he is a military man.

And now, that military man was observing the five Heroes. Only two of them could get his attention. Izumi and Samejima.

"Yosh—" Gregory nodded suddenly. He pointed at the red-haired young man. "Izumi-dono, will you fight me?"

Hearing that sudden request, Izumi was somewhat stunned. He pointed at himself. It was greeted by a nod from Gregory.

"Gregory-sama." Before Izumi could reply, the Knight accompanying them interjected. "His Majesty king Albert gave the order to check the strength of Hero-dono. I hope you can understand."

Gregory looked at the soldier. A few moments later, he cleared his throat.

"Ah, of course. Forgive me for my insolence." Gregory apologized. It looks more serious this time. "Then, follow me."

Gregory turned his body. Walk towards a large white building. There were a pair of guards at the entrance.

As Gregory approached, the two guards saluted him. Gregory nodded and walked in. The five heroes followed behind him. The soldier disappeared somewhere.

Inside, a wide variety of weapons and war equipment were lined up on the walls and shelves; scattered throughout the room. The smell of iron floated in the air. The smell made the Heroes scrunch their noses.

"I'm sorry for the smell." Gregory shrugged his shoulders. Recognize the change in the face of the young people. "This is where we make weapons and armor for the soldiers. So, please hold it."

Gregory grinned widely. He looked towards one of the shelves. There were several crystal balls, a magic wand, a magic scroll and a small chest. Gregory took the crate.

He opened it in front of the heroes. There was a pile of black steel plates inside. Strange letters were written on it.

"Each one, we'll figure out your status."

Following Gregory's words, one by one the Heroes took the plates. Check out that weird thing.

Shinnichi stared at the plate fixedly. The rune-like white scratches stimulated his curiosity.

A strange thing happened. The letters are moving. Form a pair of words. [Status Card].

Shinnichi blinked his eyes a few times. Those words still settled in his sight.

"This?" Erina asked, a little confused.

"Status card?"

Hearing the girl's question, Shinnichi answered her. All eyes were on Shinnichi.

"Can you read it?" Samejima changed to ask.

"Ah, I-I think so." Shinnichi gave a vague answer. He might be considered crazy if he said that the letters changed by themselves.

"Hoooh? So he has the [Language Comprehension] skill huh?" Gregory muttered little, closed the chest and then stroked his chin again. "Interesting."

"I'm sorry?" Yonaka heard Gregory mutter.

"Ah, no. Forget it." Gregory nodded and smiled. "Now we'll check your status."
