Chapters 25. Prison

“so this is the place.”

Arthur stopped stepping, he had reached his destination according to the map written. Though there were doubts, but in the end he decided to come.

The place is in a very quiet area. There was no sign of life there, there was only one black mansion that looked worn and old.

{Be careful, Son. I have a bad feeling about this place.}

Arthur gulped, squeezing the map while observing the Mansion. “Ya, I know.”

With doubt he entered the Mansion. Slowly and without knowing its inhabitants.

He asked in a cold tone. And his gaze was as sharp as staring at a piece of trash.

Although he is a criminal, it seems that he has a high sense of solidarity in the organization, Arthur follows what the guard wants, and the, he can also guess where Fiona is because the guard has a key hanging from his pants.

Arthur took the key in the guard's pants and walked into one of the rooms. This room was the place where the two guards came out.

So it's very likely that Fiona is there.

The door opened successfully, displaying a dark room with candles as lighting. Arthur slowly tried his best not to produce any sound. When he walked a few steps, he saw a ladder heading down.

Without the slightest doubt. Arthur stepped down the stairs. As expected, there are several prisons and prisoners, but most people who are in prison are lifeless people.

Arthur took the girl by the hand and hurried away from the prison. At first everything goes well, but suddenly Fiona stops stepping making Arthur confused.

He looked back at Fiona who was bowing her head. “What's up?”

Fiona looked doubtful and wanted to say something with flushed cheeks. 

“How dare you go so easily. Looks like you really want to die, stupid girl!”

Before Fiona finished with her words, suddenly the red-haired female figure cut off her speaker. He was Feny, his eyes staring intently at both Arthur and Fiona as if he wanted to kill them both.

Sensing a figure that was quite dangerous made Arthur wary.

“Fiona, take cover behind my body.”

“Y- yes.” 

Fiona releases her hand and walks over, hiding in Arthur's body.

“Hee~ let's see. Blazing red eyes and brown robes. So you're the ‘nameless hero’ that is now a rumor then, huh? Really a kind person. Saving people without even receiving a thank you.”

“But you are only dealing with goblins, bandits and some low-class enemies. You're actually not as strong as rumored, am I right?”

What Feny said was the truth. Being the eighth heir does not mean Arthur became very strong, it can be said otherwise. Due to ‘umbral plague’ infection Arthur had to be careful when using his powers.

If he forced himself too much to use the Darkness sword Technique then slowly the darkness would rob his heart and he would become a crazed umbral. Just like Aron and the other people he killed.

Feny holds Arthur's sword and the girl tries to attack Arthur's head using the back of a sharp chain, but Arthur jumps up so the attack is spared.

Like a wild beast, Feny once again attacked Arthur with his chains. He threw the Long chain towards Arthur who was still floating in the air. Arthur looked surprised, he raised his hand to protect himself, but that was precisely what Feny wanted, the chain pierced through his hand and stuck to him. Feny twisting his body makes Arthur also turn because it is bound by the chain.

Feny slams Arthur hard, causing the teenager to vomit blood and the floor to quickly become a spider web with Arthur at the center.

“See, you are very weak... oh, that white hair, so you're Arthur Midnight?”

Because of the clash, Arthur's hood was open, featuring white hair that became the hallmark of the Midnight family.

Feny smiled sinisterly as she realized the figure that was in front of her eyes. While Fiona looked surprised to hear the name ‘midnigh’

“Third son without magic elements and out of the kingdom for months. I got a very good prey today. Fiona Rosemary and Arthur Midnight. Boss will be happy.”
