Remember Me Please, Hubby!

Remember Me Please, Hubby!
AUDREY EFFORT

Kyle had finished his bath, as Audrey returned to the room carrying a tray filled with breakfast.

"Where are you from?" Asked Kyle who had just finished putting up his tie.

Audrey, who had placed the tray she had brought to the table, immediately approached Kyle and confirmed Kyle's tie, which looked slanted.

"Take breakfast for us" Audrey answered Kyle's question.

"We didn't have breakfast downstairs with Brother Zayn and Brother Thalita?" Kyle asked confusedly.

"Usually we have breakfast in the room, while we're staying here, so-"

"So we're also going to have breakfast in the room this morning" Kyle said.

Audrey just nodded with a smile.

"I'll take a shower first. If you're hungry, you can have breakfast first, Kyle," said Audrey, who had approached her closet and picked out the blouse and trousers she'd wear to the office today.

"I'll wait for you to finish your bath" Kyle murmured.

Audrey had already entered the bathroom, and Kyle was walking around inside Audrey's room looking for something. Whether Kyle was looking for what, Kyle himself did not know.

Me, you, and time.

- Kyle

Kyle read the writing on sticky notes and on the glass of Audrey's dresser.

Of course Kyle memorized the writing, because it was Kyle's own handwriting.

Is this a love letter from Kyle to Audrey?

Why is it so short?

But if examined more deeply, one sentence written by Kyle has a deep meaning.

Kyle took a photo that was also attached to the glass of the dresser. It was a picture of him bare-chested and standing in front of a roll of waves, on Dad's island. It seemed like Audrey was taking the photo secretly, as Kyle's facial expression looked startled.

One more photo is a selfie of Audrey and Kyle in the helicopter. It was clearly visible from the headphones Kyle and Audrey had on their heads.

Be friendly!

Just that one word that Kyle thought was best suited to describe the closeness of Kyle and Audrey. Even Audrey's smile looked very loose and different from the Audrey smile that Kyle had seen lately.

"You haven't eaten yet, Kyle?" Audrey's question suddenly broke Kyle's daydream.

"I'm waiting for you" Kyle replied as he scanned Audrey's appearance, which still looked feminine even though she was wearing a trouser suit.

Whatever clothes worn by Audrey, always looks right on Audrey's body.

"Well, let's start breakfast now!" Audrey finally sat down on the sofa. Kyle sat down next to Audrey, and began eating the breakfast that Audrey had offered.

"I can drive you, later?" Kyle asked a little doubtfully.

"Not if you bother. Our office direction is different. Besides, my car is here too. So I'm just gonna drive myself" Audrey refused to give me a line of excuses.

"That's not your car! That's Abang Zayn's car that you borrowed, and then gave Abang Zayn to you. Didn't you?" Guess Kyle chuckled a little.

Audrey was immediately stunned by Kyle's guess just now.

The last time Audrey told me about her red car was a few months before her marriage to Kyle. And after that Audrey didn't even talk about it.

Is it possible that Brother Zayn told Kyle about it lately?

"Abang Zayn told you?" Guess Audrey's been feeding food into her mouth.

"You told me! How could you forget?" Kyle chuckled again.

Audrey stopped chewing the food in her mouth and for a moment, her heart suddenly cheered happily.

Kyle remember!

Kyle remembered the sentence Audrey had uttered a year ago.

Is this a bright spot?

Audrey put on a smile on her lips,

"Alright, because you forced. I can what?"

Kyle and Audrey continued their breakfast without any more chatter.

****

"How many days are you gonna stay at Mama's and Papa's?" Asked Kyle to start a conversation.

Kyle's car had already driven through heavy morning traffic in the metropolis.

"Maybe until tomorrow. You can go home and you don't have to stay overnight, Kyle!" Audrey answered quickly giving Kyle a choice.

"Then Mom will come back to scold me," Kyle smiled wryly.

"Mom?" Audrey frowned not understanding.

"Mom scolded you earlier?" Guess Audrey next tried to guess.

"Mom and Sean. They were compact at scolding and nagging me, because I didn't drive you home last night, and let you take a taxi by yourself" Kyle told the story that remained focused on the road ahead of him.

"So you came this morning on Mom's orders?" Guess Audrey again whose face had turned disappointed.

Audrey thought Kyle had come because he felt guilty and that he cared about Audrey. In fact this was due to the scolding from Mom Bi and Sean.

"Mom told me to take you back home" Kyle replied honestly.

Yep!

Audrey should have guessed it from the start.

"You're coming home, aren't you, Audrey?" Kyle asked expectantly.

"You're my wife, so you have to come home with me" Kyle said, a little forcefully.

"Are you still the 22-year-old Kyle who's unstable and irritable?" Audrey asked with a crisp laugh, although the meaning of her innuendo could very well be felt by Kyle.

"I'm going to stop being 22-year-old Kyle and try to be 27-year-old Kyle" Kyle promised Audrey.

"No! No need to force it, Kyle!" Audrey patted Kyle on the back who was still focusing on driving.

"I should be the one to understand your situation, because you're the one who's sick here"

"I'm not sick! I'm healthy, Audrey! So stop thinking of me as a dying patient who needs attention!" Sergey Kyle cut Audrey's sentence in a slightly elevated tone.

"All right, Mr. Kyle Arthur! I'm sorry, and please control your emotions because we're on the road." Audrey patted Kyle on the back and said a little more.

And unexpectedly, Audrey's words immediately made Kyle's emotions evaporate and the man instead chuckled at Audrey.

"Your facial expression is so funny, Audrey!" Kyle's occasional chuckle looked towards Audrey while remaining focused on driving.

Audrey laughed with Kyle.

Maybe it's better this way.

Audrey doesn't have to force Kyle's wife to return her memory.

Audrey just needs to be a stranger who comes into Kyle's 22-year life, and makes her husband fall back in love with her.

If Audrey could do it in the past, Audrey would be able to do it.
