Chapter 21's

Laren, who knew it, woke up and then rose from his bed and was alert for the attacks of some foreigners.

And sure enough, not long after that two men broke into the Laren residence and were about to attack and kill Laren.

Laren attacks the two men and defeats them until they bounce out of Laren's room.

Seeing that the other two assassins had helped to attack Laren, Laren fought the four of them alone because the guards had been exposed to smoke that drugged them unconscious.

Because when attacking Laren one by one they still lost, they finally made a formation with the cultivation to kill Laren.

But due to the high level of cultivation Laren was finally able to face the formation without being injured in the slightest.

While the assassins vomited blood due to the destruction of their formation and were attacked by the cultivation power of Laren, then Laren approached one of the assassins.

"Who are y'all? Who told you to kill me?" Laren asked while stepping on the chest of one of the assassins

"You... Must be... Die!" Said the killer

Before Laren could ask who they were, their mouths had all spewed out foam indicating they had drunk poison to keep their identities hidden.

"Damn it! They're dead but I don't get any information." Laren urged annoyance

After the four assassins died, Laren felt the aura of someone watching him.

The man felt that if his existence had been known by Laren, he rushed to go there so as not to be caught.

But Laren had stopped him so that he could not go anywhere, and finally surrendered to Laren.

"Who are you?" Ask Laren

"Pardon the servant of the noble prince Laren." Said the person trembling and terrified

"Tell me! Who are you!" Said Laren while emitting an aura that suppressed the person which made the person even more frightened and trembling

"S-i... I was one of the guards of Prince Stellan. Servants are ordered to pay assassins to kill prince Laren and watch over their work." Say that person with fear

"Ohh... Turns out my brother Stellan did all this." Said Laren while grinning

"please... Please forgive the prince's servant's life." Said someone scared

"Tell me what Stellan's brother is going to do to me." Said Laren while pulling the man's collar

"B-good prince, but after the servant says everything please prince Laren forgive the servant's life."

"SAY!"

"Good... Good prince. Prince Stellan told the servant to buy a professional assassin to kill your prince. After the killer succeeded in killing you, Prince Stellan also told the servant to make your death not as killed by someone, but death due to the deadly plague that is in this prince's village." Said the person trembling in fear

"Hmm so that's how it is, what a very cunning but also very intelligent way." Said Laren while grinning

"Pa-prince... I told you everything I know. Please prince Laren spare the life of the servant." Said the man with trembling

"Pardon your life? What if you report this to your master and will harm me another day." Said Laren while staring intently at the person

"Ha-servant... Servant will not say anything to prince Stellan prince. The servant will keep his mouth shut and will not divulge any information concerning Prince Laren."

"Tell me, what benefit will I get if I forgive your life?" Ask Laren

"Not interested. I have many guards more loyal than you. And I will not accept the man who betrayed his master to be my man." Laren then killed the man

After Laren kills the man, Lacey appears next to Laren.

"Sir." Call Lacey

"Hmm what's up?"

"Why did you kill that guy? That guy we can use to spy on Prince Stellan sir."

"can't. He's already told me all the information of Prince Stellan. He would not be suitable to be my subordinate... Do you understand what I'm saying, Lacey?"

"I understand sir. You don't want to use the person because the person has leaked all the information about the Stellan prince of which the Stellan prince is the master. After that Lacey disappeared and then Laren returned to the place where the guards and some ministers were unconscious.

Laren was resuscitating them all by using his cultivation strength, and in an instant they all woke up one by one.

"Prince, are you okay? Are you wounded, your majesty?" Said one of the guards who immediately woke up because something panicked happened to Laren

"I'm fine, calm down."

"But I'm sorry, prince... How can we all sleep here? Though as I recall we were all standing guard in front of the prince's residence." Ask one of the other guards

"So there's a hit man coming here, their goal is to kill me. They used a poisonous smoke bomb that knocked you all out here."

"What?! A hit man? Is the prince hurt?" Ask the guard in a panic

"Just calm... I'm fine, we need to be more vigilant here. After this attack, there is no possibility that any outside enemies will come here to mess up and try to stop our investigation of the plague here."

"Good prince." Say all the guards there in unison

"But the prince's apologies, servant permission asks."

"Please."

"Does the prince know who is trying to attack the prince and stop this investigation?"

"It... I don't know. No need to care anymore, now we focus on solving the plague problem that is here. One more thing, there's a hit man in the area that I killed. You guys clean up the bodies."

"Good prince."

Some people went to take care of the bodies as Laren said, while the rest stayed in front of Laren's room.
