Revenge Journey

Revenge Journey
Chapter 42's

The next day Laren woke up early in the morning and rushed to clean up.

When he finished, Laren went outside his residence and called Rayden.

"Rayden," Call Laren.

"Hamba here, your majesty, is there an order?" Said Rayden who had just appeared in front of Laren.

Emperors had extremely great abilities, and the emperor family did not so appear in the outside world. I want to know how others see the emperor, I'll start with Rayden and find out what he thinks of the emperor. (Batin Laren)

"Rayden, do you know anything about the emperor?" Ask Laren frankly.

"Emperor? Servant doesn't know too many princes about the prince's emperor." Reply Rayden.

"It's okay, say everything you know."

"Well, please the prince wants to ask what, I will answer according to what I know."

"How can the emperor occupy his current throne?" Laren began to ask Rayden.

"Usually the previous emperor will pass down his throne to the nuclear family of the emperor's family, before being elected emperor some young people who are nominated will follow a very strict selection. If in that nuclear family all the young men that were nominated could not fulfill it then no one would be able to become an emperor that came from the nuclear family." Rayden explained in length.

"If no one can pass the selection to become that emperor, then who becomes emperor?" Ask Laren curiously.

"If in the nuclear family no one can complete the requirements and selection held by the imperial kingdom then people who are not nuclear families get the opportunity to do that selection if they qualify." Rayden explained.

"Not a nuclear family? Are foreigners from anywhere able to follow the selection to become that emperor?" Ask Laren curiously.

"Not the prince, the person who is not from the nuclear family means the young man who still has the blood of the previous emperor's family. But not the young man born by the emperor and also the emperor's empress." Rayden explained.

Laren nodded in understanding at Rayden's words.

"If... There was the smallest possibility that it was the young man from the nuclear family and also the young man who had the blood of the emperor, who would be the next emperor?"

"If there is such a thing, then any foreigner from any land that qualifies can follow this selection of princes." Rayden explained in detail.

"Hmm so it's like that." Reply Laren while nodding naggingly.

"If I may know, why are you asking this prince?" Ask Rayden

"It's okay, a few days ago I met the emperor's majesty so I just wanted to know." Reply Laren.

"The prince there is something I want to ask the prince."

"Hmm say, what's up?"

"When on the way to the imperial kingdom we were attacked by some pretty powerful assassins. But all I know of them is in the fifth intermediate level, and I also only feel that killing a hitman of that level. But while I was walking my way in the garden of the imperial palace I accidentally met with the general Zang, who was, and General Zang says if there's a first high-ranking assassin behind your train, did you kill him prince?" Ask Rayden.

Yes, it was true that I killed him, but I deliberately didn't tell Rayden that so he wouldn't ask anything. But it is not expected that he still knows it through General Zang. (Batin Laren)

"Hmm right, I killed him. You don't know that because you're fighting a hit man in front of my train." Laren explained after he pondered for a moment.

"So it was like that, but the servant did not know at all if the prince came out of the carriage. When did the prince get out of the carriage and kill the assassin?" Rayden said as he looked at Laren.

I expected Rayden would ask a lot of questions about this. This is the reason why I wouldn't tell Rayden about this. This is not important anyway. (Batin Laren)

"I-i... I used cultivation science to kill him." Reply Laren while slightly brick.

"Alright then, your highness the prince." Rayden replied while nodding.

But to kill a high-leveled assassin required at least a sufficiently strong cultivation level, so that some people around him could be aware of the aura that belonged to that person. But as long as I fight that person in front of the carriage I do not feel the aura belonging to anyone let alone the aura belonging to prince Laren, actually how did prince Laren kill that assassin with such a short time? (Batin Rayden pondered after hearing the words of Laren)

Rayden nodded at Laren's reply, as Laren and Rayden were chatting, one of the bodyguards approached them with someone.

"Greetings prince Laren, his majesty the king came to visit your prince." Said the bodyguard while bowing towards Laren.

Then behind the guard was a person in luxurious yellow clothes and also a few guards following him.

"Hamba salutes his father/Servant salutes the king." Laren and Rayden bowed as the king walked towards them.

"Hm." Reply to the king briefly.

"Hamba permission go first, your highness, please chat with prince Laren." Rayden said, then nodded by the king.

Rayden left Laren and the king so that they could chat freely without anyone else.

"Prince Laren, let's chat while walking the street." Said the king as he stepped elsewhere.

"Okay father." Reply Laren nodded while following the steps of the king behind him.

"Laren, you are currently healed and also now you can practice martial arts and also cultivation arts." The king began to open the conversation.

The king directly bluntly said this, is there something he wants to order for me? (Batin Laren pondered for a moment)

"Ayahanda was right, is there anything that the father wanted Laren to do?" Ask Laren.

Indeed, a very sensitive child, he even understood my point when I had just slightly fished him. (Into the king while looking at Laren)

"Right, there's something you have to do for me and I've prepared everything for you Laren." Said the king, nodding.

"Alright, Laren is ready to accept whatever father. What should Laren do father?" Laren asked while looking at the king.

As I thought, what exactly does the king want to say? (Batin Laren)
