Chapter 9: The Past as an Enemy

“Through here, Your Majesty and the Empress,” said Fiery while showing the way to Zinn and Frost. Fiery looked like a very quiet child, probably because he was in shock.

“Did His Majesty not feel that this girl is very silent? Does Your Majesty feel anything from him?” Zinn whispered asking. “Entah why I feel unfamiliar with quiet kids. They seem to have very severe life problems.”

Frost flicked Zinn's forehead, causing the owner of the pink-eye bead to complain of pain, but he could neither scream nor scold the man. Zinn must keep his attitude in front of the children and must not shout because it will only attract the attention of the creatures that are up there.

“You turned out to be stupid too.” Frost did not filter his words at all. What went through his head, that was what was released in his mouth. Frost is a very open person. “You know what kind of situation is in Daffodil now? Chaos balau. They were still children, what would happen if they saw their parents being killed in front of themselves without them being able to help? Of course the answer is only one and you know it.”

Zinn puffed his cheeks and threw away his face, not wanting to see Frost. Though I only want to mince words with him, why did he become temperamental once? How annoying! thought Zinn.

After passing through a long hallway, Zinn and Frost could see the presence of other children in the secret room. Behind the children was another wooden door, it seemed like it was going to take them out.

”The number of survivors is twenty-one people, already including me and Miss Fiery,” Qerza said. “That door will take us out of Daffodil to Castleton. In fact, this secret passageway was the advice of the Chief Daffodil. If there is a precarious thing that must be reported to the center, this road will be an alternative to save a half-day trip. This path is also very safe, can not just be entered by people or strange creatures. Daffodils are experts in building structures. Camouflage on the secret door can also only be seen by people who have translucent eyes.”

“I've seen it. Daffodil's design is complicated and good, suitable to fool the enemy and avoid things that are not desirable. But, it won't last long. We should get out of here soon,” Zinn proposes.

Shortly after Zinn and Frost guided the children from the Daffodil's secret door, an angry roar rang out from behind. It sounds so far away, but it also sounds so close at the same time. Looks like Daffodil's secret room has been discovered.

“Wire! The creature was chasing.” Frost clucked in annoyance. Zinn also looked panicked and bit his lower lip, not having a good idea to keep them from harm.

“Your Majesty, I wanted to ask you one thing from now on, but there was always someone interrupting. I'm really upset!” exciting Zinn. His voice seemed to be heard to the end. Frost stared in disbelief at him while shaking his head, resignedly. “Did His Majesty not feel anything strange about himself?”

Frost raised next to his eyebrows. Is this all she wants to ask? It's ridiculous, Frost thought.

“Kids, you guys get out of here first. My Majesty and I will hold the creature. In addition, there are things that I should talk alone with Your Majesty.” Zinn looked solemn until his pink eye bead shone in a dimly lit room. Somehow everyone felt the horror of Zinn and could only obey his wishes—except Frost, he was certainly not afraid of Zinn.

Just now Frost saw Zinn seriously. I don't know what made the young woman so angry and serious about her question. But Frost felt it was not a good thing. Since meeting Mictlantecuhtli, Zinn became a very strange, very temperamental figure. Frost became a little worried about it.

“I'm sorry Your Majesty, but if you can't answer me, I'll find the answer myself. Sorry if my actions on this one are very presumptuous,” said Zinn.

Zinn draped his arm around Frost's neck, his face quickly approaching and poking the lips of the owner of the golden eye bead. Frost himself is shocked by Zinn's behavior and stops the kiss.

“Zinnia Pramidita Ganache, what do you mean by this?” ask Frost.

Frost chuckled softly. “Then, I'll give you what you want.”

Frost peppered Zinn deeply, making the woman breathless. Frost could see that Zinn was about to cry and he could only smile. Never force me to make you fall in love with me, Ganache. You don't know how crazy I am, her mind.

Melted tears drenched Zinn's cheeks. I'm crazy, right? thought. Zinn widened his eyes as Frost's tongue forced in and played his tongue. At that moment, his consciousness slowly dissipated and was replaced with a scene that was the answer.

"How arrogant are those humans! Destroy them!"

"Slay them with the ground, blaze the fire on the earth they love. They deserve it."

"I, Frost Azazel de Void, will never stop fighting Angels and humans!"

Frost panicked when he saw Zinn constantly taking a breath, like someone who was short of breath. He patted Zinn's cheek gently to resuscitate the young woman. "Ganache, wakeup! The ganache!"

From the end of the hall came the loud cry of a girl. Horror filled the place and Frost felt a terrible feeling. Damnit damnit! Damn it! Ganache, what am I supposed to do? You get up quickly! The ganache! it's in the heart.

Zinn is still in Frost's subconscious, wading through the man's past.

"*You shouldn't be fighting humans, Your Majesty."

"Why? Are you going to stop me, Zinnia Estiana Morningstar? Don't forget, your great-grandfather is an Archangel banished from Heaven. Even though you were born and raised in Heaven, you're still a part of Morningstar*."

"Forget it or not, I'm still an angel now. If you want to fight humans, then my job is to protect humans."

"Don't be silly, Morningstar. We're tied up in engagement. Do you want to be my enemy for the sake of humans?"

"Bound engagement or not, my job is to protect the humans. If you're going to get in the way of my plan, then I won't hesitate."

"I won't hesitate either, Your Majesty."

Zinn forced his eyes open. When he regained consciousness, he found Frost was carrying himself on his back. So, I'm a descendant of Morningstar? And, I have a wedding appointment with His Majesty? inner Zinn.
