Sheet 26: Problems that Come

“Of course I have to be polite, the three of you are already intending to help me and His Majesty. We also would not know the tragedy that happened in Daffodil if Young Master Cardinal did not tell us,” Zinn said.

“We who should be grateful for not considering the report as a false report,” said Fable. “The report was written very... ugly and messy.”.

Zinn laughed a little. “It is precisely because this report was written by a child that I decided to take it as something serious. Kids won't lie.”

“True too, should we call you as Mother,” joked Ash.

Zinn's face instantly blushed red, between joy and shame. “Truely too, I have not introduced myself well,” he said, switching the topic of conversation. “My name is Zinnia Pramidita Ganache. I am from the tribe of Ganache.”

“Alright Mother Zinnia, thank you for teaching us something valuable,” Ash said.

“I just trust you guys. You guys are good kids. In addition, I must also thank you for considering Castleton as your home. Your Majesty and I will no longer be lonely with you guys.”

Zinn and the three Ravens finally reach Castleton. Their journey home was faster. Actually Zinn was only just following his heart, he did not think to leave Castleton Palace before. But since it had already happened, then he wouldn't bother about it. He also managed to tie up a good soul mate with the three Raven siblings.

Suddenly, Zinn's head felt heavy. He spewed fresh blood from his mouth and fell to the ground. He could hear the children exclaiming frantically, before it finally went dark.

“You call yourself from the Cardinal tribe?” frost asked in a fiery tone. “This is not how to write a letter to the Ruler elsewhere.”

“I was just a dozen years old! The books and scrolls I read were not even more than a hundred,” Qerza said. “This request... isn't it hard for me?”

Qerza exhaled and began to write.

“How many times should I tell you? When you're writing, get your body up!” exclaim Frost while upholding Qerza's back.

“Your Majesty, please don't trouble me anymore.” Qerza sighed resignedly. “I really cannot afford to continue this exercise...”.

“Are you still a man? You're even the last successor to the Cardinal tribe. Now, I just told you to do your thing, why can't you do it?”

“This is too difficult for me, Your Majesty!” Qerza looked down at Frost. He didn't know that writing exercises could be that difficult. Normally, he ridiculed Fiery for doing the job. Now he just found out that writing exercises are very difficult. “I'm not used to doing this. Just being able to read is already a good thing.”

“What do you call a good thing?” Frost crossed his arms in front of his chest. He's totally inexhaustible. “You should know that Cardinal was the one who used to be the Emperor at Regancy. It was all because of their greatness in solving the problems of the country peacefully, their greatness in speaking words, and their greatness in writing.”

Frost could see how depressed Qerza was. Therefore, he decided to stop lecturing himself. He also surrendered to Qerza. He felt that the owner of the blood-red eye bead would not have the chance to be the same as his predecessors.

“I am not interested in luxury life, Your Highness,” Qerza said. He seemed to mean it when he said it. “I want to live like an ordinary person, traveling to many places without having to think of any burden. Me and Miss Fiery will live happily, loving each other until old age.”

‘It would be great if I could think of something like this kid,’ Frost thought.

“But, it won't guarantee you,” said Frost. “As an adult, you will know my good intentions.”

“Your Majesty, may I ask you something?” ask Qerza.

Frost stared straight at Qerza. “What do you want to ask?”

“What are your feelings towards Madam.Pardon me if I say this, but somehow I feel your feelings towards Madam are not just love. I can see a feeling of guilt in it.”

Frost was stunned to hear Qerza's words. He must admit that the child is very sensitive to the surrounding conditions. “Then, what else did you find?”

“I feel that you both have known each other a long time ago.....” said Qerza. “His feelings for you are filled with love. But, somehow in his gaze also implied fear.”

Frost exhaled slowly. “Do you think he's afraid of me?”

“Not really. What the Mistress fears is not you, but I don't know what she fears. I'm just hoping that your relationship is okay. The two of you are now the people who matter in my life.”

“I suddenly felt an unpleasant air,” said Frost. “Rather than you do things you don't like, how about playing chess instead?”

“Good idea!” Qerza exclaimed in pleasure. He likes to play chess. His opponent used to play chess was the Chief of the Daffodil Tribe. “I really like playing chess. Please do not yield to me, Your Majesty.”

“Do I look like a person who will succumb to others?” ask Frost.

Qerza chuckled and shook his head. “I just origin say it. But, somehow I feel that you are giving up a lot to others.”

“I don't know where you saw that from, but trust me that I'll never give in to anyone else.”

Qerza smile. ‘I'm also not sure I can win from you, Your Majesty,’ he thought.

Frost uses magic to arrange pawns on the chessboard. He allowed Qerza to advance first. He did not want Qerza to give up easily against him.

The two of them played chess for about a few minutes, before finally someone pushed forcibly the door of the Main Hall. Slates.

“Your Majesty!” Slate exclaimed with a panicked face. He was like someone who was frightened because there was a big problem going on. “Mrs...! Lady dia...”

Frost's face instantly changed as Slate said of Zinn. His jaw hardened and his eyes darted sharply. “What's with Ganache? Don't half-half when talking.”

“Mrs vomit blood!”

Frost clenched a fist. ‘His new moon allergies start again..fuck! Damnit damnit! I shouldn't have just believed her when she said she was okay, her inner’.

"Quick take me to Ganache! He's in danger."
