Sheet 21: Understanding the Meaning of Life

‘It doesn't seem like a good idea to make them fight each other,’ thought Frost.

Frost stopped the training from the Ravens. He flicked his fingers, eliminating all protectors and training arenas.

Slate who was originally like an unconscious person shook her head. “What happened? I felt the world was dark.”

“You have just escaped the Illusion Rain,” Frost said.

All of a sudden they could hear explosions from a distance.

Frost stared directly at Castleton Castle and could see the protector Zinn had set up. ‘Wire! Looks like Ganache is having problems,’ thought.

“What sound was that?” Slate grimaced in horror at the explosion.

“Ganache seems to wake someone's dark side. Y'all lucky. Bring your brother who is there. We return to the Palace now,” order Frost.

'Waking up someone's dark side?' think Fable and Slate. 'Is it the same as that experienced by Ash?'

"You, Little Raven," Frost said as he glanced towards Slate.

Slate pointed at himself.

"Yes, you." Frost is so scary. His voice was deep and cold. "See you could potentially be a Warrior of Light. Unlike your two brothers, who are better suited to be Dark Warriors."

Slate scratched his non-itchy head. He heard his Foster Father, that the Light Warrior is weaker than the Dark Warrior. No wonder he felt inferior.

"The Light Warrior is no lower than the Dark Warrior," Frost said. "Are you the number one Devil in Ninth Level Hell is the master of light? Azazels...."

Frost did not sound very happy when he mentioned the name of Grandpa Buyut-Muck, although it must be admitted that Azazel is very cool.

"Or maybe like Michaela, the number one Great Angel in the Nine Heavens, who also had the power of light. Lucifer, The Fallen Angel, who also possesses the power of light. Actually the power of light is not weaker."

Fable and Slate heard Frost's chattering in the back as they swept their brother away.

"In this world, who does not know what light is and who does not know what darkness is. Who does not know what day it is and who does not know what night it is. Twelve hours of the day were there and twelve hours of the night were there. Both are balanced, complementing each other. It all depends on how deep understanding someone has."

Frost sighed. "That's it. It says even now you won't understand."

Fable looked towards Slate. His sister simply shrugged, uninterested in the lecture Frost had just delivered.

"From the three of you, only your brother understands what I'm saying. You two are narrow-hearted, won't understand" scorned Frost.

Slate clenched his mouth tightly while pretending to look at the fields they passed by. From a distance, he could see a sprinkling of stars above the sky, combined with a towering corn-corn crop.

'Darkness and light complement each other.' Inner Slate.

Slate widened her eyes. "I understand, Your Majesty!" He exclaimed with pleasure.

"What do you understand?" ask Frost.

"Darkness blends with light, balance and mutual respect. Just like the moon and the stars in the night sky, or the black clouds in the daytime sky. Light has darkness. The dark remains a light," Slate replied with vigor.

"You begin to understand what life is just by looking at nature's alloys. Great too," praise Frost.

Slate smiled embarrassedly as Frost praised her.

Fable looked at his sister and also smiled. He was the one who scolded Slate the most, but also the one who protected his foster brother the most.

"Why pretend to hate if you don't hate?" ask Frost, who seems like the question is aimed at Fable.

"For the sake of good, there must be someone who plays the role of a bad person. For the sake of kindness, there must be someone who has the heart for others" replied Fable.

"The three of you are connected to each other, even though it is only a foster brother. Congratulations on understanding part of life and surviving for reaching the Bloodstone League."

"Accomplishing the Bloodstone League?" Fable and Slate stared confusedly at Frost.

Frost stopped when he reached the gates of Castleton Palace. "Understanding life can make you go up in level. If you are a narrow-hearted person, until at any time will not be out of the amateur level. As a human being, one must of course know and understand what life is, what it means to live it, and what it means to live it. People have two most important things in life: love and revenge...."

Frost looked up at the protector who was slowly disappearing.

"You're too young to understand this. When it's time to understand, of course you will understand" Frost said, ending the conversation.

"Yes-"

Slate wanted to ask Frost something, but an incomplete word came out of his mouth, the owner of the golden eye bead had already disappeared from before him and his brother.

'Your Majesty, are you a cold-faced Angel?'

Zinn returned to the Main Hall while finishing Rouge.

Qerza who saw him immediately approached the owner of the pink eye bead and helped him. “What happened, Mistress?”

“I accidentally awakened someone's bad memory,” Zinn said. “That's right, I remember you saying that you and Miss Fiery saw something you shouldn't have seen. May I know?”

“Me and Miss Fiery saw the people of the Jepalamus Continent before all of that happened. If not wrong, I heard the Chief calling Jaa... what yes?” Qerza scratched his un-itchy papacy. “Jaaduee Andhera..right, the Chief calls them Jaaduee Andhera.”.

‘The statement given by Young Master Cardinal is the same as the statement given by Young Master Tahiti, Zinn inner’.

“Thank you very much. Do you know what they do in Daffodil?” ask Zinn.

“They were like saying something to the Chief. I didn't hear exactly what they were talking about. But, I heard something related to Neftaza,” replied Qerza. “I was caught by the Chief and told to hide myself with other children in the secret room. After that, everything just happened. When I came out to see the situation, the first thing I saw was the Chief who had been killed. Since I didn't know what to do, I went back to the secret room and explained the circumstances out there to the other kids.”

“Is Miss Fiery there with you guys?”

Qerza looked at Zinn. “No, but Miss Fiery approached us in the secret room.”

‘It turns out so... they purposely let these kids live. But, what for?’ ask Zinn in the heart.

"Did you find anything related to the assault, Madam?"
