Room No.11B

Room No.11B
Part. 18

Nek Iyah came out with the keys to my room. Then he sat in front of me.

"From this morning, no one came to the deck" he said.

"Yes grandma. Um Grandma, there's something I want to ask you." I opened the chat.

"You want to ask what deck?" Nek Iyah responded. Ujang sat beside him.

"Overnight my friend two people were hitchhiking in my room, including Judah's grandmother." I pointed at Yuda, and Judah just nodded.

"Yes, yesterday you were my permission. Continues to?" mummy Nek Iyah.

"One more friend of mine came around the corner. We'll do the job until nightfall. It just so happened that me and Judah slept first. I'd like to ask, did Nek Iyah see my friend one more?" my connection.

"Your friend who was here last night, right?" ask Nek Iyah.

"Yes really nek. Name's Bagas. Maybe Nek Iyah look." I responded.

"I woke up at two o'clock last night, and I heard the sound of chains on the gate. I think the thief, I peek apparently your friend is climbing the gate to go out." explained Nek Iyah.

"Huh, climb the gate? Grandma didn't see it wrong?" my many.

"I can't possibly see it wrong. Your friend wears checkered shorts, right? Wear a white shirt, right?" nek Iyah.

"Yes right grandma. That's our friend." said Yuda.

"Yes, I see him out climbing the gate."

Yuda and I stared at each other. Where did Bagas go? At midnight, and only wearing shorts. In fact, his phone was not even brought. I wonder half dead.

"Thank you, Grandma. That's all I wanted to ask." I said as I got up from my seat, Yuda moved.

"Yes both deck." replied Nek Iyah.

"I'm sorry grandma. Assalamualaikum." I said.

"Getishalight."

Yuda and I headed to the room leaving Nek Iyah and Ujang on the porch.

"Ah, what a pain! Make people was was." Yuda grumbled.

"Gue was also confused about how to do it again Da." I said as I opened the room door.

"Come on Da, coffee first!" take me.

"Yo'ii."

Jesus, until I forgot to pray Ashar. I rushed to the bathroom too. I was surprised when I reached the middle of my room. There were footprints full of black mud like yesterday.

"Aaahhh siiiaaalll." I shouted.

Yuda looked towards the middle room.

"Lo why Di?" tanyakanya. Then Yuda approached me.

"Buset, what the hell is so dirty?" ask Yuda.

I didn't answer.

"Huh, why?" ask again.

"It's Da, there's another footprint in my room."

"Yaelaaah Di, stay in clean. Let me help you." Yuda pushed my body towards the bathroom.

He poured water into the bucket, took a mop, poured cleaning fluid, and cleaned the mud-filled footprints in the living room. While I just quietly look at it while leaning against the wall.

"Well, done!" said Yuda.

He threw dirty water in the bathroom, then told me to pray ashar.

"There pray. Keburu magrib. Tuh, it's done. There there!"

"Thank you" I answered briefly.

After performing the Ashar prayer, I sat down to Judah. He was smoking his cigarette.

"Sorry Da, I was sprained" I said.

Yuda only smiled as he spouted smoke from his mouth.

"In, abis magrib I unplug ya. Let me call." said Yuda.

"Yes Da."

"Is it okay alone?" ask Yuda while offering me a cup of coffee.

"Casual Da. Today it feels very tired, the most behind me immediately go to sleep." I said.

"Bagas problem, we think tomorrow again." Yuda says. I just nodded and then sipped some coffee.

After the magrib prayer, Yuda returned home. I drove him to the gate. I went back to my room, walked slowly through the mango tree, the garage, and the hostel.

I sat in front of the room. Mind empty. Looking around the atmosphere of the hostel. Sometimes we think back to Bagas. Even to the footprints that appeared in the middle room of my room these two days. It all feels confusing. I'm not calm.
