Room No.11B
Part. 48

In the afternoon, after college I was sipping coffee with Yuda at the One Way Coffee Shop. Bang Dede joined in chatting with us, laughter flowed loose and jokes were inevitable. This afternoon, the visitors of the tavern were only me and Yuda. Because there were not many visitors, Kak Nia joined us, he left the cash register. The longer and the more exciting our chat.

The side streets of the campus are sometimes an alternative road for motorcyclists, if the main road in front of the campus is jammed. The problem is, afternoon traffic is sometimes a frightening specter for motorists, so alternative roads are sometimes chosen to be faster to arrive, or at least not confined to traffic jams. So even this afternoon, many bikers who pass by the side of the campus. There's no end. Klaxon mutually unpretentious.

Yuda and I had chosen the table outside since Judah was smoking. Bang Dede also smoked, until Kak Nia also smoked.

"Nih isep Di!" Bang Dede handed him his pack of cigarettes.

I smiled, "Again I don't want to bang. Hehehe."

"He's a weird bang, smoking if there's more trouble doang. It's ndeso!" Yuda open the sound.

We laughed, Yuda gave me a new name, Mas Ndeso. Previously gave me the nickname Adi The Rabbit's Ear.

"Son, how old are you?" ask Yuda. Sister Nia who asked a mischievous smile.

"Why ask her age? He's old. The point!" the Sambar Bang Dede.

"Bad lo bang, please let Brother Nia answer first." I said.

"No, no, no! Uda, he's old. Fixes. Hahahaha." reply Bang Dede.

"Just bang, let Brother Nia answer first. I'm curious." said Yuda. Sister Nia is just a smile on the ledk by Bang Dede.

"Haha. Is it important that I'm of age to you?" sahut Kak Nia's.

Yuda still continues to pry the age of Kak Nia, Bang Dede responded while joking. Sister Nia just a misuh-misuh smile did not respond. As for me, I just laughed at the behavior of the three of them.

In the distance, Adzan Maghrib could be heard. The sky was slowly blackening, dark devouring the solar rays.

The motor is still crowded through the side streets of the campus, endless. When I laughed to see them, suddenly the edge of my eye caught a familiar figure to me, he was standing across the wall. I also looked. There's none. That was the shadow of Grandpa last night. I stood up from my seat, looking for the grandfather. Last night he said he wanted to help me. But in what way? Grandfather replied, he suddenly left. His face panicked, for some reason.

"In, what the hell are you doing?" ask Bang Dede.

"Di, woii." call Yuda. I looked towards Yuda.

"What Da?" my question is, my eyes are still looking for grandfather.

"Lo why woi? Again chatter suddenly you wake up while chirping, how people are not surprised. Find who the hell?" ask Yuda.

"Eh, eng.nothing." I replied.

"Da, turn yuk!" take me.

"Well, back?" Yuda.

"Gue just pesen coffee another glass. The turning-time? Not ah!" Yuda looked a little angry.

"Why did you suddenly come back? Yes kemala?" ask Yuda.

Jesus, Kemala! I just remembered an appointment with Kemala. Why be forgotten. Gawat, this must be bad.

"Da, hape me where's Da?" my many.

"Yeee where do I know. Remember again try!" sahut Yuda's.

"That's hape lo on charge near the cashier's mess! It was you who hitched a ride there." said Kak Nia.

I hurriedly picked up my phone that was charged near the cash register.

"Da, I'm back first!" I said while taking the bag.

"Eh really is a kid! Do I want to take you?" ask Yuda.

"No, I'll unplug it first Da, bang, brother!" after saying goodbye, I walked away.

I can't hear what Yuda said. I immediately left the coffee shop. I turned on my phone while walking fast. Jeez, dozens of chat from Kemala meet the chat box. He must be angry. Damn, why forget? A Kemala can be forgotten, it is outrageous that you Adi, I murmur in my heart.

I ventured to contact Kemala.

Tepph. He refused my call. Destroyed already, run aground already, extinct all my hopes.

I got near the field, I accelerated my pace. There was no Maghrib prayer.

When I stepped into the alley, my shoulders held very firmly, I was aghast about to jump. The grip is strong, until my shoulder feels pain. I looked back, the grandfather who grabbed my shoulder. I can't move.

"Son Adi" he said in a heavy and hoarse voice. Grandpa took off his grip, I rubbed my painful shoulder.

"I.iya cake."

The dark atmosphere enveloped, I could not see the face of the grandfather, only the silhouette of his body with a button suit black and his head on a piece of batik pattern cloth.

"Son, Grandpa wants to tell you something." said the grandfather.

"What's the cake?" I'm the one who's still rubbing shoulders.

"Get out of Badriyah's house, son, there is a danger to you at all times" said the grandfather.

"Huh, leaving? What's the reason Grandpa told me to get out of there?" I replied annoyed, my courage began to arise.

"Indeed, did Grandpa pay my rent?" my continue.

He just kept quiet.

"Grandfather who told me to get out of there?"

"Son, grandfather just wants to help you. It's not good there, it's not safe for you, they're all in cahoots." said the grandfather back.

"Congruent? Who?" manya curious.

Grandpa silent. His face looked down.

"So you're really sure you don't want to go from there?" ask the grandfather.

"If I don't want to, what do you want?" challenge me bravely.

Suddenly he reached into his pocket, he pulled out a necklace with a pendant something round in the black cloth.

"Son, if you don't want to go from there, at least accept and keep this necklace." said the grandfather, handing the necklace to me.

"With this amulet, it can temporarily withstand the forces of evil that want to harm you. Take son!" grandpa handed me the necklace. I was silent, neither talking nor moving.

I took the necklace given by the grandfather, when a little more my hand managed to reach the necklace from the hands of the grandfather, suddenly the wind blew very strong, making leaves fall, dust flew. My hands covered my face, and so did my grandfather. As the wind blew, dozens of bats flew around our heads. The sound of his screams sounded very close, very disturbing.

"Son, get this necklace!" yelled grandpa.

I grabbed grandfather's hand and grabbed the necklace from his grasp.

Syuuut.

The wind stopped blowing. A dozen bats went missing somewhere. Leaves were strewn around me and the grandfather, I was as if I was in a circle of leaves. Grandfather threw down his dusty clothes, I tidied up my messy hair.

"Grandfather please, as long as you're there wear it or cantongi keep the necklace. Youunderstand?" said the grandfather.

"Grandfather, what's wrong with me?" my many.

Grandpa was silent.

"If the time comes, you'll know everything, son. Grandpa can't say, you'll find all the answers to all your questions." replied Grandpa.

"Then, why am I a cake? Why not someone else?" ask again.

"Because you've been chosen, son. You are not weak, nor strong. They are happy with you." said the grandfather.

He slowly retreated towards the empty garden near the field.

"Sir, grandpa! Whose grandpa?" my yelling.

"Haaa huuu.." Just a whisper-like voice I heard, nothing more.

I stood still for a moment, my hands clutching the necklace the grandfather gave me. Between believe it or not, what I just experienced was something beyond my reasoning. Which I have never experienced in my entire life. Should I believe what Grandpa said?
