"It's all your stuff?" asked Mas Gun while wiping the sweat on his forehead.
"Udah is mas. My stuff is not much. Just a suitcase of clothes, same as two bags." I replied.
"It's just a suitcase, but it's a hajj suitcase. It's just two bags, but it's a mountain-riding bag. Wonder me, your clothes are very much di?" ask Mas Gun.
"There are still more clothes lo mas," I replied.
"Yuk! It's noon" take me to Mas Gun.
Mas Gun turned on the motor, one of my bags was placed on Mas Gun's lap, while the other one was carried. I left the Hajj pilgrim suitcase, I will take it after cleaning my new room. The Mas Gun motorbike is headed to Kost Pak Thamrin.
"Mas, can't you promise me?" my many.
"What promise?"
"Sampeyan wants to stay in my room later. Naw?"
"Oh Di Di, clean the room yet. I made a promise. Haha."
"Yes, but you promised. Hahahaha." my laughter chuckled.
"Okay, Sunday night tomorrow." replied Mas Gun while turning the motor gas faster.
The clock on my phone shows at 11:20 p.m. I contacted Nek Iyah last night, this afternoon I will occupy the room. My blood is flowing fast, so happy. I can't wait to occupy a new room.
The journey from Mas Gun to Kost Pak Thamrin only takes about 15 minutes riding a motorcycle. We arrived at the gate of Nek Iyah's house. I went down and opened the gate wide. Then Mas Gun drove his motorbike into the yard of the house, and stopped right in front of Nek Iyah's house.
"Assalamualaikuuumm." I said hello.
Nek Iyah opened the front door of his house. His eyebrows frowned, his eyes squinted at me.
"Adi nek, who called Nek Iyah," I said.
Nek Iyah still stared at me.
"Today I want to leave room 11b" I continued.
"Ooh you, yes I remember. The motor goes straight to the back by the side. Know right?" tell Nek Iyah.
"Yes, thank you, Grandma. Yuk!" I walked towards the garage of the parked old sedan car, Mas Gun following behind.
"Park it here." I asked. Mas Gun parked his bike right in front of room no.11b, my room. He saw the atmosphere around.
"Where are you, how good is the atmosphere?" my many.
"Lumayan lah, adem here." replied Mas Gun briefly.
Before long Nek Iyah came carrying a lock, then opened room 11b.
"Please deck," Nek Iyah greeted with a smile engraved on his face.
"Assalamualaikum" I said a greeting before entering the room, followed by Mas Gun carrying my bag. Nek Iyah waited in front of the room.
"Oiya mother. Sorry I want to pay the boarding money the other day I promised." I approached Nek Iyah in front of the room. After giving a certain amount of room rent, Nek Iyah gave the room key.
"Dek, there is something I want to tell you about the rules at this boarding house" said Nek Iyah.
"Oh yes, grandma."
"This should not be noisy, continue not to bring a partner into the room, can not bring liquor let alone drugs on the deck" explained Nek Iyah.
"Yes Grandma, if my drugs are clearly not touched at all" I responded.
"Good, it must be far from drugs. Then, at 12 pm the gate is locked. So can not go home at night or out at night, yes" continued Nek Iyah.
"Yes my grandma."
"challenge? What are the challenges, Grandma?" my many.
"Can't burn!"
"The fires? Meanin?" many wonder.
"Burn chicken, grill fish or grill satay. Just burn meat. Here you can't." replied Nek Iyah.
"Lho, why grandma?" askaku.
"Well, if you can't, then no. I don't have to be clear." replied Nek Iyah with a slightly high tone.
"Yes nek." I replied while harboring curiosity.
"Do you understand the rules?" asked Nek Iyah while handing me two room keys.
"Eyeah nek. Understand that."
"Yes, I stay yes. Oh yes one more, the room key please don't lose the deck."
"Yes grandma. Thank you very much, Grandma." I replied, then Nek Iyah passed away leaving me.
I tidied the clothes in the closet, Mas Gun helped sweep the floor of the room.
"Di, you don't have a mattress yet?" ask Mas Gun.
"Yes, the plan is to buy. Go clean up the room." I replied.
After tidying up and cleaning the room, Mas Gun and I sat in the front room. Mas Gun has been silent since he came to this boarding house.
"Sampeyan why mas? Kok tumben not a lot of talk." I asked.
"Huh? Uh, it's okay Di." she replied briefly.
"Let's get a suitcase, buy a mattress!" bring Mas Gun.
"Come on!"
Today's help means a lot. After buying a mattress and driving me to the boarding house, Mas Gun immediately went home, he said his body was a bit bad since this morning.
Not felt, time passed very quickly. It was 17:15, and I had not had time to perform the Ashar prayer. After bathing and performing the Ashar prayer, I went out to look for a rice stall. My stomach hurt, it turns out that since noon I have not eaten.
Sunlight seemed to fade, orange painted the sky this afternoon.17:50, the clock on my phone. Maghrib soon. I walked quickly through the garage, then through the courtyard of Nek Iyah's house, I opened the gate and then I closed it again. Uh, there's Nek Iyah sitting on the porch.
"Excuse me, Grandma" I said from outside the gate.
Nek Iyah did not answer. I saw Nek Iyah was coolly combing her long hair. His face is covered in hair. He was wearing a red negligee.
I don't care, I'm passing.
Adzan maghrib. The sky is getting dark. I accelerated my steps towards my room. True said Mas Gun, the area is indeed a bit quiet. Rice stalls alone are quite far from the alley into the boarding house.
I walked down the road to the boarding house, dark and deserted. From a distance I saw a woman standing at the door of the house just like the other day. This little house near my hostel does look unkempt. I walked past the front of the house where the woman was standing.
"Excuse me mbak," I greeted the woman in a pretty slow voice.
Dozens of cat tails maybe even dozens, gathered in front of the house, looking at me cynically.
"Yaaaaa," replied the woman in a raucous voice. The white negligee he was wearing was dirty and dull. I also passed.
I opened the boarding gate, closed it back. From the front of the boarding gate, the small house was indeed visible. When I looked at the house, the woman was no longer there. Ignored.
Nek Iyah's porch lights look dim. Uh, Nek Iyah is still combing her hair. His position hasn't changed since I saw him. I walked slowly through the courtyard while glancing towards Nek Iyah who was sitting on the terrace chair. Nek Iyah combed her long hair slowly.
"Excuse me grandma" I said. Nek Iyah did not answer. Not dizzy, I walked to my room.
